Too bad Bentley Speed 9 and Lamborghini Countach are standard.
I think a lot more, older cars should be premium - its more difficult to find interior picture of old cars. Unless it isn't .. :)

I think we can start making petitions for DLC - 1 track + 5 premium cars every other month ... :)

Sorry for repeating myself but - notice how they used 3 word in part about tracks

"TRACK , LOCATION , LAYOUT"

THAT LOOKS WORSE THAN GT3!!!

Personally, the cockpit view added extra individuality to the cars whilst you are driving them. GT5p gives the sense that all the cars are different on a level up from GT4. Combining these cockpit views with the physics make GT5p a good leap forward in the series.

The apparent lack of cockpit view for most of the cars is almost a step backwards for me. I would have preferred GT5p with 1,000 cars and more tracks. For me, this has taken all the shine off the new features.

Disapointed I'm affraid.

I've read the past 10 pages and that made me so sad...
I understand now that GT5 is that 200+ cars, the other 800+ are GTHD.
It's not only they don't have cockpit, they also look inferior on the outside.
And I ask a simple question: How on earth would they look on replays side by side with the premiums? You would notice the ridiculus diffirence...
How on earth Kaz the perfectionist let this happen?
I'm running low on faith here. This is such a let down especially after that E3 trailer...
In god we trust...

P.S.: Seems like GT5 is something like GT3. Huge step forward but few cars.
Maybe we should wait for a GT4 like(GT6) to enjoy what we should...

Now how the hell can the standard car be So much better ?
I think I'm gonna be sick . And what the hell is wrong with headlights?? LMS cars are not Nascar you know? Headlights must be REAL, not stickers glued to the car.
Are we going to see this stuff for 800 cars?

Where are the breathtaking details of BMW lens or F430 tailights?
What's next? No 900 degrees hand animation (for 200 cars)? Hairdryer sounds not being improved? What about those heard on the last trailer? Were they just "trailer sounds" to trick us? Hey we're not talking about PS1 or PS2 trailers, this is the PS3 generation for God sake.

There is some huge disapointment here, and I can understand why. I've just posted these sad news on the front page of GT5rs. It's 2.00 AM in France so everybody's gonna see it when they wake up.... Oh well, we'll must get over it anyway.

YES! I think it's the 5th time I say this, but I obviously need to say it again.

The standard cars are GT4 models!

Am I the only one who will stick to the premium cars? I'm confused by you guys who think the standard cars looks good. I mean, what could be a least bit exciting about them?

Then You sir are a fool. depriving yourself of 800+ cars just because they aren't as pretty.

You should consider the other cars as bonus, or would your rather have the 150 or so like in GT3 only? It seems GT5 is much like GT3 was on the PS2. New console, new game and engine, except, now the content takes longer to make due to the HD requirements

Hopefully this means the cars I want from GT2, like the Pulsar GTI-R will make it into GT5 as a standard car after not being seen since GT2!

Good luck.

Oh well, guess it's back to 2005 all over again eh? But hey? At least there's 200 premium cars. :D It might not be Forza 3 enough, but it's enough for me I guess. It's a very sad happy day here in GTplanet. But cheer up guys. 👍 It will probably lose my hope to PD, but it wouldn't stop me from buying this game.

I dunno. I don't get the 5 years (closer to 6 by the time it ships) development. I also don't see the 250k polygons for the standard cars. And no cockpit view?! No weather effects?! Sounds still suck?!

Personally i couldn't care less about photo booth if they are generic looking cars, would love it if I could have my own livery. I fear the worst when they announce the total "real" number of tracks.

I dunno, I just dunno...

Livery??? I am starting to doubt very highly... how can you apply those to standard cars that are based on GT4 models?

uhm uhm....

I think GT5 will not be as great as we have been hoping...
but at least it will be way ahead of any other games out there (despite shipping so late in the "game")

Wow we have been waiting for that long for this?! and we continue to wait still...

WELCOME BACK TO REALITY GUYS

Just thought about this, but what do these standard cars mean for the CUSTOMIZATION and LIVERY aspect of the game? Sure it pretty much means standard car won't have body kits or any visual upgrades. Will any cars have these things?

I can live with the fact that 800+ 'Standard' cars are from GT's past. Although I'm not exactly ecstatic about it I can deal with it. Maybe they should have spent the time creating a few more 'Premium' cars, like another 50 or something, then I could have lived with less content.

What I can't live with is not having low and high beam headlights purely because there's less chance of being able to use them in a race that covers day and night cycles. Well, at least that is what I assume.

That's just MEAN of them.

Oh for crying out loud!!

Nowhere does it say there's no cockpit view!

Kaz stated the standard cars don't have an 'interior view'. This means they haven't modelled all the seats, transmission tunnel, door trim etc. Hence when you see the vids of the standard cars, they have tinted windows and just an silhouette of the seats, as opposed to the Enzo which has clear windows and a fully modelled interior.

You will still be able to drive the standard cars from 'in car'/cockpit view complete with modelled dash and instruments, they just won't have the fully modelled 360 degrees interior like the premium cars.

How much clearer can it be! :nervous:

Yep, no flash to pass.

The japanese site states that only premium cars will have interiors. Not engine bays or anything damage related, INTERIORS.
