You guys need to think of it like this. There are 1000 cars and 200 just happen to have interior views. They have improved on absolutely everything, I mean come on we are finally getting an online option. would you rather them to of not focused on optimizing or even giving us multiplayer and just done the rest of the interior views.. I dont think so..
I'd be fine it the game only had "premium" models, to be honest, even if it meant just 200 cars or so. I already have GT4, you see. :sly:

Have you looked at the standard models? I don't care about the lack of cockpit anymore, they look really bad compared to the other cars.

Exactly. If they look like GT5p models without the interior I guess it would be ok. But they simply look like upscaled GT4/GTHD models. In fact not even as good as GTHD. Just IMO.

I presume the GTHD cars are all premium (Castrol Supra and others clearly had an interior and seperate body panels)

I wish I could see these standard models in screen shots. All this complaining is getting me worried about whether or not standard cars are going to be of the same exterior quality

You all are complaining about the still pic, look at the video it came from, its not premium quality but it looks a hell of alot better than the pic.

The lines that separate the cars parts (doors, bumpers) look like textured lines, a last gen modeling technique.

All other fully next gen racing games have parts separated by polygons not textures. no words...

Now on a computer, I've clicked every link and i do not see "no cockpit view". Unless it's in Japanese and I can't read that.

I still just see "Exquisitely detailed, Premium cars are stunningly recreated both inside and out". If inside this means "no interior" on standard, then out would mean "no exterior"?

As for the images, they look PSP. Need a screenshot of a standard car being driven form the inside to be sure...

the reason they look so different is because they have tinted windows.

No, the textures don't have the same resolution either and here and there are definitely less details.

I think the only reason the standard models don't look as good is because the only video we've seen of them hasn't been as good quality as the premium videos. I have no doubt they will look nearly as good if not the same as the premium cars.

As far as the cockpit discussion goes, I still have hope. The japanese GT website said "Standard Car does not correspond to the interior view." I first understood this as the standard models having a generic cockpit, it just won't correspond to the real life one. And if not, I'm not worried. I never regularly used more than 200 cars in GT4, and most of the ones I did use a lot are set to be premium this time around.

Lastly, we have a ton of new features to be happy about, and I'm gonna focus on those. The interiors we do have will be stellar, roll over, damage, I suspect a livery editor, and so much more. 👍

Oh, and one more thing. The english versions of the GT website didn't say anything about cockpits on standard cars, and I think that means good news.

The beginning with all the american muscle cars, when they go by and there's this zippy, high pitched noise, what in god's name is that? Why does it sound like a civic?

NASCAR

Bugatti is the worst cornering supercar I have seen for a while

on GTPSP the computers on A-Level go round turn 3 of HSR at 65mph
I went round the corner at >80mph in the NSX LM road Car

And NASCAR were designed to be good in a circle, Bugatti Veyron was designed to be a luxury car that could do 252mph

Remember the 'bug weighs over 2 tons

You're joking, right?

Guys this is a major let down to me as a person who always uses cockpit view not only for when im racing(gives me fastest lap times) but also when I just want to check out a car and have a look at the interior and drive it like I would in real life if I ever had the money. No cockpit view is a serious let down for me as a cockpit user and i really think PD screwed up on this one, not to mention head tracking, you can only do this with 200 cars now.

Anyway before people who dont use cockpit or dont care if its not in 80% of the cars start replying "dont buy it then" or "stop complaining" its just my opinion and I believe a lot of hardcore GT fans are let down by this bombshell.

YES! I think it's the 5th time I say this, but I obviously need to say it again.

The standard cars are GT4 models!

Am I the only one who will stick to the premium cars? I'm confused by you guys who think the standard cars looks good. I mean, what could be a least bit exciting about them?

And still no on PS3 standard.
They are too. I actually think those guys were right, the blacked out windows make it seem even worse than it really is. I don't care about cockpit, im a bumper man. Oh and that still screenshot doesn't look that bad to me, considering you will see it in motion anyway... AND the lighting, and refliection are all PS3, GT5 standard. Infact screw im gonna make a picture with both a standard and a premium.

This video is an embarrassment to the Gran Turismo series and it shows how much of a joke it has become. Yeah yeah we get 1000 cars and 200 premium cars, and I never really cared about the cockpits and I've been pretty positive about all the news up until recently when I realized exactly how visually downgraded 'standard' cars are. I was under the impression that every car was created and looked astonishing (along side the premium cars) not looks mediocre and improved a bit over GT4 and probably not even to GT5P standard. And the sound? ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Those were American :censored:ing musle cars and they sound electric?

I have held GT too high for too long
