You mean the reality that exists in your head? Truth is you have no proof for your point either so why are you telling others to believe you? Hypocrisy at it's best.

"*Standard cars do not support vehicle interior camera views."

There's my proof. Now where is yours? You can wish all you want, but you're going to be gravely disappointed if you keep believing there is still hope ahead and that GT5P cars are standard. Don't even try to call this a hypocrisy. All the evidence is out there. If you choose not to believe it then go ahead and keep living in your fantasy world. Please don't call out others because you just can't accept it.

GT5P cars are all standard. I see no reason why this would be wrong from what we've heard.

Premium cars have "full interior recreation." All GT5P cars have this and therefore they are premium. GT4/PSP cars don't and are standard.

How about a break from the standard/premium discussion. Let's talk about steering animations.

Back in GTHD (even in GT4 as a matter of fact) the animations were 1:1, but since then we've only had 180 degrees. Why is that?

Check this video out. The animation looked perfect back then!

Why have they dropped the full animation?

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh
It might just mean that some cars don't have interiors. Like the GT-R Prototype in Prologue which didn't have an interior to model. Other cars could have simply been too hard to track down to have they're interiors modeled.

Then it would say some cars. It said STANDARD CARS.

Ummmm and

It took me all of 3-5 days to get over the look of standard cars and no cockpit. If they kept telling us from the start that this would be the case, most of the people would've gotten the point and accepted it. Their timing is piss poor in my opinion.

I simply misread your post, missed one word.

Who really knows. Here's a better video of it in an early Prologue demo:

But, it does leave wide open room for fresh speculation (within reason of course). While we have no definite info on what it is specifically, we could start some reasonable theories. Of course hopefully, no one makes some noob assumption that it works like the one in Modnation racers.

Well then, in the interest of sparking conversation...

"Hey you guys, do you think any tracks will be carried over from GT4? I personally think it's impossible, because it can't be done; this is the first GT in 3D!"

In all seriousness, I don't even know where to begin with the concept of a track editor. I imagine for sanity and realism's sake, we'll have quite a few restrictions imposed on our little sandbox.

Because mad players with pads would make wheel go wild and for some very stupid reason they won't allow 900 degree animation for wheel users!

I have been trying to warm up old thread/poll about the issue but strangely with poor results :https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=119304

Do you think the weather will be dynamic or preset? I suspect it will be dynamic, as PD do like to do things properly and it would look odd having dynamic day/night transistion but the same weather. I think this will bring a great strategic element to the endurance races, you'll have to decide "Do I wait it out and get worse lap times or do I sacrifice my current position to fit wet tyres and improve my lap times?"

Weather can bring so much excitement to racing, imagine screaming down the Mulsanne straight at Le Mans as the rain pours down infront of your headlights at night while competing for the podium. Epic, I love Gran Turismo.

BTW this is little bit off topic but have a look of this videos:

And from the videos I can say the following:

1. KY began as a child wishing to be a racing driver not a businessmen and that is why the first one sold so well,by the production of GT2 he move into more "international" territory and came up with that insane amount of cars for and the game sold even better.

2. With the next gen consoles like the PS2 at its time he expected more capabilities for making games but there is where he finds limits for consoles, instead of baking up he repeat the formula of GT2,more cars, more tracks.

3. In GTPSP interviews KY doesn't show the same "spirit"of making a racing game, but he to explain how to adapt the GT racing concept to a portable device(PSP)he seems to have the first concept of GT in portables back in 04 but he was pushed to make GTPSP to launch PSP non Japanese sells.

4. We now know why the cars didn't sound well in GT4,they took the sound from the exaust, not the engine :dunce: .

And finally we know what he really wants to do with GT5,instead or more cars like GT2,what he wants to do is a different game, not the same thing like 10 years ago, I give him credit for that and lets hope that now is technically possible to apply all he wanted 10 years ago,and it seems that way :) .

Really cool videos that were unfortunately overlooked in the midst of all of the standard/premium debate. I especially enjoyed watching the 2nd one. He discusses some features he would like to implement such as weather, day/night, and extensive online options. These are the things we may be getting this generation.

And this is why I love GT. I will be honest. Now, you can not call me a fanboy, because I will not bash other games to make my favorite game look better. Also, I will accept the criticisms of GT as legit.

Personally though, I really hate to criticize GT, because Kaz and his team represent something more than just a game to me. Well, I'll explain it like this...

All day, everyday, I criticize those who pursue passion-for-profit. I cannot stand pop music and will not support it. Pop is manufactured for the purpose of profit with little to no regard for music as an art. When this happens something is lost.

We see this across many disciplines. Many movies are mass produced (such as romantic comedies) with the same plot line and the same formula. A cheap unintelligent alternative to actual story telling. I will not support it. We see it in journalism. News organizations too afraid to invest in investigative reporting. They know it is more comprehensive, but it is expensive and does not get the same ratings that Michael Jackson does. We see this in our governments. Politicians too afraid to speak intelligently on topics, but would rather dilute everything to a 5 second "sound bite". Creating some form of catch phrase that can be picked up by a passing ear and passed on to another passing ear with little pieces of thought in between. We see this in our classrooms. Dispassionate teachers passing out busy work just so they can show the grades to their superiors. Not really wanting to get into the dirt and teach. We see this....

Well, it exists in video gaming, too. While many of those topics are much more important than some video game...

To me, I will make an attempt to support someone who pursues for passion. Who puts art ahead of profit. Is willing to take the heat while creating, but never revealing. This does not mean he is impeccable. Or that there are not legit criticizms against his craft, but this does mean...

I will be much more likely to give him a pass. It is his art after all. I am just glad to be a part of it.

(longest and weirdest rant in GTP history)

And kind of feel like Will Farrel in this video.

I guess Sony has begun advertising on mainstream magazines.

This was on the back of my Entertainment Weekly.

I dont know if I missed this in the thread but how does everyone feel about the chase cam? would you sooner have it loose like prologue, psp and the like or the new welded in place camera... I personally found it harder to control the slides with this camera in the TT demo. mainly because there was no margin for error, the backend slipped and the whole picture went with it. Were as what I liked about the old one is it gave you a little time to enjoy the slide by showing the side of the car alittle. Has anyone a theory or info for this camera change?

p.s. I spoke to a friend whos forza mad and said he would buy gt5 if they have the loose camera... is it really such a big issue as that for you guys, or like I say does the new tight camera give you something more?

They could give limited animations for pad users and full 900 for wheel users. I'm planning to buy the G27, and accurate hand animations would be nice. However, I'm not upset if the animations are not fully realistic.

It was fine in GT4 and GTHD. I experimented with it and it looked just fine. I'd love for it to be put back in GT5 even if it's the exact same as it was.

It's a strange thing. I was so used to the loose cam from GT3 and the previous games and when I got GT4 and started playing it really bothered me and I really wanted to make it like the GT3 cam. Eventually though I got so used to it in GT4 and now also in GT5P and honestly, I think I prefer it this way. It's hard to go back and play GT3 now since I'm just totally not used to it (PSP is much different cause it's a portable to begin with) although it is quite fun to use at times. Having said that, I'd love to have an option where you can select what you want and you can choose between the GT4 stiff cam or the GT3 loose cam.

Because 900 degree steering is pointless on a race car? Race cars don't have anywhere near that kind of steering range.

900 degree steering. The real parallel parking simulator.

There are more road cars than race cars so that's completely irrelevant. Plus racing cars could easily be changed to be limited to 180 or 360 degree steering.

I've highlighted what I think is most wrong with your post. Firstly, there are HEAPS of racing cars in the game, so it is quite relevant. Secondly when was the last time you went into a corner in a real car (any car) and wound on much more than three quarters of a wheel rotation?

For me premium cars will look like this:
4409740066_2408606f3c_b.jpg

The standard cars like this:
gran-turismo-5-prologue-20080409045145855_640w.jpg

Discussion over:sly:

I think you have right, and on the interview on the news page they said that standard cars are not worse than prelogue and it think it means that Premium cars are only more detalied than Standrad..

I hate this discussion...:yuck:

Drifters and rally drivers do it all the time. I also do it every time I drive my real car, when leaving a paking lot and stuff like that.

They should simply make it an option. The cars that support 900 degree steering in real life should do it in the game as well.

Always bugs me that people on here really want PD not to improve the game. Why is that, really?

Hey guys!!

Please find attached my last in car camera video from Spa Race!! From p 18th to P5th

Hope you enjoy it!!

ENOUGH

We have debated this for too damn long and too damn much. Is it too much to ask that you guys need to put this nonsense to rest for 🤬 crying out loud? Seriously. All I see is crap and BS that apparently will never be solved until Gamescon and arguments people seemingly don't want to stop so lets just drop this crap and cease this facepalm marathon we've been having for way too long. There is hell of alot more things we can discuss then this "Premium vs Standard" BS we seem so damn obsessed about.
Ah, hahaha! You are quick to pick fault with the posts, but you are not so rapid on providing productive alternative discussions like you insist are there. don't like the direction of the thread? Report it or stay out of it.
