That "is the dust blowing in the wind?" mystery in the GTP News...

I really don't understand what goes on in half the threads in this forum anymore. Constant bickering, petty insults, members having meltdowns (as witnessed above ).

Before i joined here i lurked for ages, one of the things that enticed me to join was the community spirit and the apparent genuine friendship amongst members. Now half the threads that interest me are like the wild west. There is nothing wrong with genuine criticism and a difference of opinion, but some of the stuff i've seen clogging up the threads recently, borders on childish and immature behaviour. Constantly needing to separate the wheat from the chaff is becoming very tiresome.

Hopefully after dann and Scaff stepping in this will be an end to the majority of this. Quick thanks to the gtplanet staff who have to moderate these forums, can't be easy.

I think its to be expected, when we're still trying to figure out what will be in a game we should already be playing.
Patience involving GT5 was exhausted some time ago, although I'm not sure the exact date.

The frustration and agitation with the circumstances surrounding GT5 are at fever pitch. I thought perhaps the announcement of a release date would help soothe the savage beast, but alas it was too little too late.

Which BTW is the SOS fueling the frustration.

The previously unknown and untested dev time for this game has set the stage for rampant personal visions of grandeur. The perfect game in one's own mind has taken hold, and now we will settle for nothing less. All percieved info to the contrary is like earthquake tremors cracking the now sacred vision. A unique to GT5 psychosis you might say.

Of course none of this should be an excuse for improper forum etiquette. Nonetheless, under the influence of the crumbling vision, one may be inclined to overlook such, in comparison, percieved triviality's.

Not a chance, but it's rather interesting to see exactly what the true nature of people is, and after all the fall out we are left with the members who will truly contribute to wards the site.

been a member for ages, although this is my first post.. thought i'd throw in my comment on all this bull and willy waving going on...

its about time people just realise that "its a game"... if you dont like it.. thats YOU.. and You're opinion... but just because YOU have a gripe with something... doesn't necessarily mean joe bloggs on here thinks the same way.. so instead of bickering and fighting over who has the biggest/better "whatever".. concentrate on the genuine things that you are looking forward to etc... and turn this thread back into a genuine discussion on the "game/s"

people tend to forget why they come here in the first place.. its not all about complaining and moaning..

its about peoples genuine commitment and feelings towards a series of games.. yes there are those who have their problems with certain aspects of the game/games they like to play... but for god sake.. either put up or shut up.... if you can't get on civilly with people who don't agree with what you have to say thats you're problem... if you don't like it.. you know what you can do...

this site over the last while back now.. has turned into a free for all for people who have no respect for others...

its about time the "men in white coats" rounded up these individuals, and put them out of their misery as well as ours...

tbh the quality is poor even in HD but on the second run through there is some cockpit view which looks pretty decent. hopefully a better quality version will pop up soon 👍

^^^^ nice.. I'm hoping the cars look if not as good but better in GT5..
I at least hope, but quietly i believe they will have "standard" car models at this standard, after all... why go backwards on what was shown in prologue.... ( I'm hoping anyway )...in GT5..

Please Kaz... don't make me cry into a box of kleenex when november comes around lol

I really like the Evora as well, but that clip is basically footage of Prologue which doesn't show anything new or proves or disproves anything in any debate right now, let alone there isn't really a debate going on in this thread apart from questioning the need to show this clip for whatever reason.;)

True, I don't know either...

I still play Prologue every day, at least one race... maybe he was trying to put across how detailed prologue is.. i don't know.. but he is the one who has to explain himself....

I like the Evora, I just thought he was showing the lighting etc in that vid..

I dunno...

Lets hope it was that.. and not just some random youtube vid for posterity's sake

True, but the best way to enjoy it is playing it in my opinion but expressing joy or enthusiasm by showing a clip displaying its beauty is indeed by no means harmful, just wondered why he posted it in a thread mainly used for debating.:)

And we need a pause? From what? If I need a pause from debating, discussing or suggesting I simply don't visit this site........:)
 
got another e-mail regarding the increased amout of airplanes in gt5 and i think its got news in it !!!! so the red bull hangar 7 responded again saying...
The main target is to enrich the user experience and the game itself. The main focus in the game developement was the quality of the game but also the add additional features as spectacular venues. We have included three venues which we think are the beginning of a new user experience. The airplanes are well chosen and part of the spectacular venue of the Red Bull Hangar-7.

Interesting stuff, although I would say the planes are just there to take photos etc.
But, isn't there a drag strip at Hangar 7? Can't find it atm. but I thought I've read that somewhere.

EDIT: Hm, no, my mistake.
