Yeah they missed a lot of tracks, but which locations did they miss? As far as i see all tracks that are listed on the right side of the page would either fit into "GT Fantasy" or into one of the countries marked on the map. If there are 20 locations (= countries) in GT5, which one could be the missing ones?

Thats what I would like to know, So far (not including GT fantasy land), there are 11 real life locations mentioned. so if the 20 locations is interpreted as countries, what are the other 9?

Maybe there is a secret country full of test track and licence testing, with a lot of Japanese dealerships and 20 versions of the same mazda

What about Nissans.. you can't forget the ZZZZZZSSSSSSS

Maybe

Two options for the GT fantasy tracks

1) Put them all in different countries

2) Put them in GT Fanatasy Land

I thought if they where going to go the full hog, with weather etc why not put fantasy tracks into real countries. Obviously they are fake, but matching the circuit to conditions in certain countries would be a logical solution..

I am all for people offering negative criticism. It's all about the consumer when it comes to selling goods. Problem here is, that certain posters will not stop repeating themselves over and over again.

:ouch:

And the brown-nosers don't that tenfold?
The ratio of "negative posters", let's call the majority of them, realists, are easily outnumbered 10-to-1 by those who worship GT5 and the notion it can do no wrong.

 2 funny...

What we can see now as an important news is that the condition of "location" can be interpreted as "country",not as "track" like other games do,that is a piece of important news that Jordan should post in front page.

So Jordan if your reading this this will be a good piece of news maybe, not that big but the country as "location" is a good piece of info that we haven't before.

We've had people assuming location = country for 6-7 months now but there has been no proof or confirmation by any credible source. In my eyes, there still isn't.

Thanks?:boggled:

The mag got the info from Kaz HIMSELF, I think that's fairly credible

What else would you class location as?..

I am going on my own assumption that location = country. But its not like they have specifically come out and said for example location = Nürburg, or location = Daytona Beach...

What I'm saying is if they class location as "the exact location on the planet" thats ok, but generally I would take it as a country or city even. It is just one of the things PD need to clear up.

And we have bloggers and websites saying the exact same things. Kaz sent me this personal email or we got an interview or this and that. Didn't OPM previously say they had other info straight from Kaz and then it was found to be false.
I'm just saying don't trust magazines, especially French ones.

I kid, I kid. Seriously.

I personally think the french article is based on the same rumors/unconfirmed news we know.
In my view it doesn't confirm anything.

Thats it dave these mags PAY to get the stories especially if its a cover story exclusive.. so yes in one hand it could be false and in the other true... but I think if they where going to print.. If not PD but Sony would have a say in what gets printed and not... so if so many sources are saying the exact same thing, would sony deliberatly allow so many "false" statements go unchecked?

After all there is no doubt an embargo is in place over the majority of the game even after Gamescom.

I just think there has been so much said about certain things, especially when its the same stuff over and over.. there has to be a shred of truth in there

Sadly I have to argue with that because is not a unknown blog or anything like that,is the official French playstation magazine so it has credibility to take it as a fact in this mess of miss information and suppositions,

So one location is one country ( we know the variation numbers ), however we don't know track numbers. We can only guess the tracks from the variations.Knowing PD never split a track like the original Nurburgring, there are many candidates.Perhaps most variations are for fictional tarmac, who knows.

Ok, and what exactly does that prove? The only thing official about the magazine is that is has OFFICIAL in the name. It's no more credible, most likely less, than GamePro or gameinformer. But I'm glad that their naming strategy has worked on people like yourself.

US Official PlayStation Magazine also said we were getting Indy Racing Series cars. They had to print a retraction in the next month's issue.

The "official" gives them little more than any other magazine.

There are many French magazines out there, and this one has been right about everything so far in that one article - Joypad is the name

Also this raises a point: How on earth do the French know more than us at any one time?

Take that article, and the fact that the French manged to know about both collectors and ultimate editions weeks/months before PD made an announcement about it?

What is happening here?

If the official web page of Gran Turismo post the list of tracks you wont believe it?

remember that the whole GT series is a SCE asset as well their magazines,so if it was some speculations about the game they should post that onto their web page, but the don't and the number of tracks is maintain in close door to gave some exclusivity to their magazines to increase their sells,if they publish that on the magazine, which make it more likely to be truth(at least the country section,we can consider this as a fact)but not having the official track list is a method to publish that on the next month magazine and increase sells, well I also could be wrong but remember that is SCE assets, not some random magazine or blog.

Don't worry man GC is around the corner hopefully the truth will be told there. Me personally I agree with you however the way to think around GTP is ALWAYS think of the worst so you wont be disappointed. Time will tell 👍

Exactly...

I remember reading an article ages ago, before even the standards got mentioned by PD in a magazine. And it stated about only 200 fully damaged models would be in the game. But they where doing 1000 cars (approx).

As it turns out those fully damaged models became premiums, just over the past few months when it was announced to everyone about the Standards and Premiums its like a travesty...

I think some people know more in the industry than what they let on. And sometimes not all the time. The media gets it right...

I'm old enough and certainly ugly enough to not be worried lol.. I'm looking forward to the game. No matter what happens from what I've seen, read and heard.. November nevermind gamescom can't come soon enough

Again, how is that a valid comparison?
The magazine is not a sony magazine. READ AGAIN This magazine is not actually an official playstation magazine. Ziff Davis Media paid for the name.

I know that this has been discuted before but, in GT5P the Cappuccino has interior view, so, should we asume that this car is a premium one ?

But this make thing that they said that premium cars will have interior view, damage, high beans etc...
But the Capuccino, Integra, Golf, Focus etc aren't supercars or race cars and they still have interior views.
Could the information on the official site be a misstranslation ? Because some cars in Prologue has appeared in GT4 and have this cam (In accord to the site, Standard cars that has apeared in GT4 won't have full damage system and interior view).

Can someone awnser if will have only 200 cars with interior view ? I don't have the time to look trought all the pages.

TBH it's a joke these days. I can understand wanting to keep certain elements a suprise but.......

Their feedback to the patient fans is attrocious.
I hear you man, but what can we do. All we can do at the moment is analyse what we do get whether it be from PD or magazines.. When it turns fans against each other :dunce: it's been getting out of hand...

They should at least do a weekly or fortnightly dev diary or something coming up to release to not have everyone second guessing and OVER analysing everything that gets mentioned.

Save the BIG stuff for events like Gamescom.. But at least keep the fans in the know and make things more clear..
Frankly, I think you news hounds are getting a little carried away. To start with, let the idiots be idiots. Give them a lucid post to ponder, and if they don't see the light, just ignore their posts for a while. It'll save a lot of headaches.

Second, the game is just over 90 days from release, at least in America. And shortly afterward for the rest of the world, or dare I say it, at the same time. Or even sooner!

But guess what? GamesCom is just two weeks away, and we should have something meaty to chew on. And I'm sure, to argue over. And then just over a month after that is the Tokyo Game Show, which should be the big blowout. In-between, we might even get some interviews with the Sensei in which we might get some further juicy tidbits. There should be tonds of screengrabs and lots of videos to pour over. And after TGS, it won't be long till... what? :D

GT5P cars are premium cars, yes. PREMIUM cars are not just race cars and super cars. Premium cars are a collection of cars spanning several classes of vehicles so that those who like slow, small cars can get a taste of driving a premium car in game.

Put your fire-suit on NOW

Please go to the relevant thread and not post aimlessly.

If you don't have time to do something, then find some please, it's always there - use it.

Tenacious Your'e right, we should all just forget all this animosity and just look forward to Gamescom.. What it all boils down to really is.. Its a game, and there are going to be people who buy into it or not...

You are right is doesn't belongs to SCE media, the just pay the name,so is their information based on our speculations?!

holy cr** we only can trust the words of translator-san and the mistranslations on the official GT web page,I am not looking that forward into the track listing on gamescom, the bigger show of GT5 on this aspect will probably be on Tokyo game show,I just hope that is held in odaiba so I can assist.

All of this is why I like to say that we don't know anything for 100% sure until the game is in our hands.
