I love these responses. "We can't do anything, so why bother saying anything".

We've been saying for years during GT5's development that the sounds need work & you guys stood there blaming it on the builds & whatever else, defending PD. We're at release, 5 years later, & no major change was made in the sounds except for a few cars & you supporters now just say, "Too late to do anything."

You do realize your responses do not help the development process when the developer sees them, & thinks, "There's a few people not happy, but we have others who seem satisfied & defending us." But then again, Kaz. seems pretty intent on making the game how he wants, no matter the time it takes to do so.

Saying this two years ago would help, sure. But two months before release....forget about it. There's a reason I've stayed away from this forum lately, and you are a great example.

The s2k on that cover has a lot of stickers on it, hence why we need a better less blurry picture.

Hey guys here's my GT5 alternate cover signed by Kaz!

Wow thats awesome, how did you get it?

Re-read my post again. We were doing just that 2+ years ago & people like you told us to stop complaining.

And ditto to you since you're one of the many folks here who have stood behind PD's every move.

Read my post again. A demo tv at Best Buy is still not a nice tv at home with surround.

How will a surround sound change the base engine sound of a car? The things that are wrong with the sound engine don't depend on the speaker setup you have. I thought it was pretty clear from first post.

At least they separated customize and upgrade. That is one less thing to worry about. To me it hints visual customization. Nothing new but nice to see it mentioned.

No mention of drag racing on the box. That makes me a sad panda.

A sad panda somewhere is a happy panda elsewhere. Means more people to race with on courses that last more than 15 seconds.

Now we just gotta get rid of drifting.... How about a separate Polyphony Formula D game :P

Wish we could run to Best Buy with a G27, I'm just dying to find out what road information is transferred to the wheel in the form of feedback. Although, you never know what to expect when dealing with demos (unincorporated features that would otherwise exist in the full disc release).

Asane, what type of info are you getting with the DS3 controller?

It's a sixaxis. Playing the demo the first time I was wondering where the vibration was and I checked and they only had a non-dualshock six-axis controller hooked up so no feedback whatsoever.

Thanks a lot Zonda_Guy for the cleaner images.
They also don't mention karts. So it's probably just a placeholder image or they aren't mentioning all the styles on the box art.
Maybe, I can keep hope alive although kart racing could fit under the category of road racing.

I noticed that too. Ooooo the mysteries:confused:.

Wouldn't that make one less person to race with on courses that last more than 15 seconds. There are many others on this site who want drag racing. In fact, there is a thread on it.

That is weird. Thanks for the info.

I wonder if the old controllers stand up to kiosk demo abuse more so than the DS3s, or f Sony simply has a utilization program for discontinued items.

I wasn't on here two years ago, was on a hiatus from here. My thing is, unlike some people on here, I see this game more as a tool to help me be a better driver. Graphics and sound don't mean squat to me. It's all about the physics. And do realize that it is still just a game. If its not what you want, don't play it. Simple as that.

That S2000 is Stephan Papadakis's formula drift car.

I hope I'm not expecting too much :D
And, of course, welcome back to the PlayStation family, audi S4! =)

Why thanks! im really looking foward to getting a playstation again. For GT5 and such greats as uncharted 2, god of war 3, etc. Only been able to read about them....untill now:tup:

No worries man, even if there is no drag racing, get with your buddies and go from a 40MPH roll on the top gear test track. :sly: I just hope Kaz and them boys are holding back the insane engine sounds for the final build....

We can't all be vacuum cleaners and hair dryers...

And if there is no insane engine sounds in the final build... it just goes to show, to get great graphics and smoke you have to compensate for the sounds....Why am i not believing this?

I hope you got a decent wheel, you'll need that to qualify for the SLS ;)

Oh and a cockpit is preferable to, not to forget that 3D TV to get your braking points right. (You might aswell buy an SLS by now :P )

true that man. prices of 3D TVs are retarded. I just say get a solid 42" or bigger 1080p and call it good. Besides i personally still dont know about all of this 3D stuff. maybe the next year or so it might be implemented a lot in multimedia sources but i dont really see it catching on. :ill: dont really know

And besserwissers like you, telling people not to play the game if they don't worship every thing about it, make me want to take a hiatus from here too...

Why come on this site to bash GT or complain about it? There's nothing one person can do to change it. Wait for the game, if it's all that and a bag of chips be happy! If it's not, try to enjoy what it does offer. Every GT game for me has been great. Even if Forza had bodykits which I liked and wheel sizes, GT still to me felt like the best racing game there is. There's nothing like the 'feel' of a GT game.

Aside from that, the S2000 is pretty nice. I know it's someone's real drift car but perhaps we could be seeing the 'tuning' or 'customization' of our cars close to it (bar the stickers or livery?)

You're twisting my words around. Do what you want, I'm not telling you to do anything. This is my last post, no point in arguing over stupid things that does nothing but piss me off.

I'm going to enjoy the game for what it is. Do what you want.

I guess it shouldn't be a surprise that there's still "long-standing fans" out there who still don't get it and / or otherwise think as Mike Jackson does.

The guy is stupid if he's comparing GT5 damage to Burnout.

Bigger Images....

No mention of the standard and premium split...

No offense, but that's a pretty big statement there don't you think? :)

It seems you mistakenly take these two types as complaining and bashing:

1. People who have their opinion and are expressing it, like McLaren or dave
2. People who are annoyed and countering whatever excuses people make to justify the sounds, also like McLaren and dave.

The problem here seems to be lying with the people who blame the TV, the recording, the sound system or Youtube's compression system or wtf it is rather than accept like a reasonable person that you are not getting good sounds this time around (again).
