Yep, looks like it

The answer is simple!

Move to Belgium ;D
Only thing is we both live in what is historically known as Belgium. There are many contradictions though. We live in what after the eighty years war became known as Belgica Foederata, while our southern neighbors became Belgica Regia where the rex was eventually driven away (he hadn't been there anyway, he was in Austria) by the French who would later be replaced by another Rex from Belgica Foederata which by that time wasn't foederata anymore and instead became it's own regia. Later our neighbours got their own regia only to foederare it about fifteen years ago. History repeats itself, it just turns around once every while.

Let's end the history lesson now. I'm open for PM discussion.

So I can't win the SLS if I'd buy the signature edition? Good thing I don't want anything but the game.

Thank you a lot gamer28. I really like the A.I. in the second video at 1:55-2:05, oh and huge LOL at the over-excessive sparks between 3:20 and 3:30.

He never said that. He just said he was happy he wasn't poor so he could buy the much more expensive version.
The way he worded it though, associated the regular version with poor people. That's apparently, the big stink over it.

I think one thing can certainly be determined from these new damage videos.

The 458 sounds absolutely terrible, and it's an embarrassment to the game to hear it.

Yeah, how is it that the GTR (in my opinion!) can sound virtually dead on while other cars like the 458 just...don't? lol :indiff:

Why do people insist on judging the sounds of the game from YouTube videos? Wait until you get the game playing on your own tv with nice surround sound before you jump to conclusions.

See, this kind of surprises me. There are kids on here too young to enter the contest that are still dropping this kind of money on one video game? Aren't there better things to spend your (if it is indeed your own) money on?

That's the thing, they are just kids, what else but to spend money on games and toys?
Most of us are adults and we're spending money on games and toys. I think that's more of a problem. Oh wait, we're adults, so they aren't toys and games, they're hobbies, lol.

I played the game on a TV at best buy. The sounds are still not great. The 458 sounds like the f430 from GT5P. The vette and GT have a slight growl but they all still sound synthetic.
I think it's "healthy" to complain about it now. I'd rather do a little bit of that and ease into it once game comes as opposed to keeping it all inside and having a fit once the game comes out. I prefer to keep the specifics to the SOUND thread.

that is a good question. YouTube does have horrible sound quality. It's true. However, it is obvious that this Demo is probably a chunk from the E3 Demo. There the car sounds weren't so great and there wasn't any skidmarks, just like the Best Buy demo. We know from the GS Demo that the cars now sound a lot better and there's skidmarks. And the damage model might have changed as well. Just think though, GT5 should be going gold in a little under a month, as, on average, a game goes gold about a month before it's release date. So, by October, the game should be completed. It sounds like it's almost there, as well. Sounds like there are just a polishing-up going on. TGS should be a near-finished build. I would assume there will be a lot of info come October. Just remember, GTPSP came out October 1st of last year. Perhaps PD will announce GT5 going Gold and all the details on it's 1 year anniversary.

Also, everything that was leaked has been confirmed except for one point: stunt arenas. Karts, weather, the course editor were all leaked around E3 and we assumed that they'd be revealed as GamesCom, and they were, but PD didn't mention anything about the leaked Stunt Arenas. Perhaps it's more of a gyminka thing, though.

Read my post again. A demo tv at Best Buy is still not a nice tv at home with surround.

Stop making excuses for the sounds. It's a well known fact now that GT5 is still lacking on the accuracy on some of the cars.

You guys who keep saying, "Oh, youtube videos are bad. Oh, the audio quality from the camera is bad. Oh, Best Buy has bad TVs", need to stick a sock in it. We're now getting the chance at Best Buys to play the game in person & if the sounds are bad there, they're not going to sound that much better at home.

bloody hell, that's brilliant! (i'm trying out some british slang, it's probably just a phase)

Are you taking the piss, mate? :D Just as long as you don't run around saying that everything's "ace." Perfectly fine, but everyone will think that you're 10. :)

I mostly agree, and would add that, assuming there is validity to the surround sound argument, the sound should nevertheless be optimized for stereo as well as surround. If I need surround sound to hear the engine properly, then PD needs more help than I thought (it does sound better [relatively], but then again, what doesn't  ).

Speaking about the Best Buy demo, I went back to my local store to play the demo one more time and hopefully get more pictures but as soon as I loaded the "ring" and the Ferrari 458...I noticed that the Glitch of the disappearing track was GONE! and I also noticed that the damage system was not the same!....I tried replicating the damage obtained by myself a couple days ago but it was just impossible. It seems as if the demo was somehow updated and damage was "toned down" a little bit. Could this be possible? Maybe Kaz saw what we were doing to the cars and decided it was too much! and toned down the damage for now...any thoughts? I took the lambo pictures that you guys saw in the news page and now I tried but nothing>>> It wasn't possible to get it to look as bad as it did before :(

How about the complainers put a sock in it. Too late to do anything about it now, so just leave it alone.

Can the person who posted the game cover take a better photo of the back? Interested to see that car on top. (s2k?)

I love these responses. "We can't do anything, so why bother saying anything".

We've been saying for years during GT5's development that the sounds need work & you guys stood there blaming it on the builds & whatever else, defending PD. We're at release, 5 years later, & no major change was made in the sounds except for a few cars & you supporters now just say, "Too late to do anything."

You do realize your responses do not help the development process when the developer sees them, & thinks, "There's a few people not happy, but we have others who seem satisfied & defending us." But then again, Kaz. seems pretty intent on making the game how he wants, no matter the time it takes to do so.

I'm not saying that someone should act as if the game is doomed for lack of _________ (fill in the blank), but it doesn't mean that we should ignore issues either, or have them treated as if we're loudly discussing someone's mistress within earshot of his wife (keep the sock).

The current sound isn't a deal breaking issue for most, nor will it shake the foundation of most people's GT conviction, but it should be addressed by PD.
