Actually, it doesn't sound like they're going to be "GT5" quality, but I'm not entirely sure, but the PSP cars will only be uploaded to Arcade mode, so it could end up being GTPSP style cars on the tracks or it could be a way of unlocking 830 cars REALLY fast...but only in Arcade mode.

Wonder if we can buy 'Standard Models' in GT Mode?

I'm sure. The PSP cars are PSP cars, and I'm kinda glad you can't upload them to career, 'cause it'd be unfair to the rest of us who don't have GTPSP to have the PSP gang with their hundreds of cars instantly at their disposal. It would be like using a Gameshark.

I have a psp and I'm definitely uploading all of the 434 cars from GTPSP to GT5 arcade mode so I can test try them . :)

Heres a link to the GT PSP car list:

https://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turismo-psp-car-list/

This list shows 830 cars, apparently there are 850, 20 of which are hidden in GT PSP. Obviously some of the GT PSP cars will be premium in GT5. The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 '09, for example.

Official word from PD: "Over 800 standard cars, over 200 premium cars."

Thanks, but I was wondering if the cars that was shown in GT PSP intro were premium?

Yeah. I'm just saying it would seem a little like cheating to upload them all to GT Life. I don't mind letting people upload them to Arcade mode. :P Heck, if I had GTPSP, I'd upload 'em to GT5, too.

by the way, that '70 Challenger is the 440 Magnum.
No.

Maybe its time to add the GT PSP cars to the list? Kaz has said on numerous occasions that you can transfer your GT PSP cars to GT5 and to GT6 and so on. I see no reason why he would limit certain cars from being transferable.
Because there are regional duplicates in GT PSP and no one from Sony or PD has answered whether the duplicates will also all transfer into GT5.

We don't know for sure if we will have a Tiburon and a Tuscani in all regions. Previous GT games never did that.

The regional duplicates were probably because the PSP is region free. So is the PS3 so I think they will be counted. I hope I'm wrong.

It was also the only worldwide release GT game. If GT5 does come out on November 2nd worldwide then I would think that is the route they are going, but since early indicators are saying possibly not we can't make that assumption.

Also, the car list is for confirmed cars and nothing about the GT PSP list in regard to these regional cars is confirmed. In fact, the questions to Sony and PD have been blatantly ignored. I even tried asking on the PlayStation Blog when they were actively replying to comments and got ignored.

The way I see it, all the premium Skylines so far are different cars. In GT4 however, there were like 4 or 5 R34 GT-R's while now I just see one of each gen. One R32, one R33, and one R34. :)

YES! There is a 426 Challenger in Forza 3, and it's miles ahead of any other muscle car in the game. It's very quick for a 40 year old car.
Yes indeed. I'm a Chevy guy, but I have to admit the 426 Hemi is perhaps the most exotic and best performing engine of the muscle car era, hell it's even the most beautiful to look at. I know there was a guy here in Sweden who had a 426 Hemi in his living room!

EDIT: Oops, sorry for double post, forgot to merge the quotes into one post.

It should be noted that on the PD website there's a picture of their work area with a couple of SMART cars.

That picture has been there for a few years now. I hope smart ends up in GT5, but I'm not holding my breath. I'd love a non-Japanese kei car for a change!

Kei cars are like crack to me! I can't get enough. Seriously.

They are great fun, its all about momentum, no scrubbing speed. The cappuccino is the best of all.

Im sure there will be alot of extra cars as DLC on the PS Network, thats where all the money is on the PS. So im sure there will be lots of surprises still to come.

Sorry if this has been discussed already but:

Where are the Pontiacs?

Specifically the 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS.6 (Ram Air)?

This is my car...and I have never been able to to drive it in a Gran Turismo Game. Im hoping this time that instead of having 50 different Skylines, that they can give me 49 Skylines and 1 Trans Am.

Anyone know if this car will make it in the game?

we don't know yet. We'll find out in August and September. (although, I would be surprised if something was unveiled in July)

My guess is probably not, but Im kinda hoping for the 35th anniversary edition ws-6.
