GT5 Master Car List (NOT a wishlist - Please read first post)

Now that PD has the Lamborghini license, I wonder if we'll be seeing the Diablo GT race car from GT3.



The standard cars are described as cars from the past GT games so perhaps that includes GT3. Furthermore with that notion, perhaps we could see the GT3 F1 cars, GT-One road car, and some other lost cars return. Then again who really knows. It should be simple to just port them all over as standard cars since the GT3 models are very similar to GT4 models (if not the exact same for some).

You could see them on some cars in GT4 anyway. It doesn't mean anything.

Its because porsche is the last remaining 'bragging point' for EA's racing games as the rest of the games are great big piles of shift!!!!

Ok, this wasn't on the list, so I thought I would mention it. On the GT Planet news page, on that 40-minute hands-on with insidesimracing.tv, at the end there was a trailer-looking video that had a bunch of GT5 cars racing around tracks with some dramatic music, and I saw a Bugatti, that wasn't a Veyron. I went over to this thread to see what it was, and noticed the Veyron was the only Bugatti listed... So...

I can't wait to see the 400mph club started with GT5. You know there will be cars that'll hit it with some tweaking. Heck, there were a couple cars in GT4 that got close.

The hyper-TT (er, Veyron) would actually be a relatively easy add. Different bumper, different wheels, add the extension above the rear window, and pump up the boost. Give it an extremely garish and cheap-looking paintjob, and it's in!

Yes, quite a few cars could be added with little problem.

If I recall, aren't they technically licensed under JLOC since they aren't official Lamborghini Race cars? I could be wrong, but I think those are entirely built by the team themselves.

I just watched the video again and saw "Lamborghini" in big white letters across the rear wing so I think I see why VAG got mad at them (Assuming they owned them around 2000-2001).

Well...that and...a Lamborghini is still a Lamborghini which is still owned by VAG. True, PD doen't HAVE to get VAG's permission, however, VAG can still request that a vehicle they own the rights to be taken out of the game.

Sadly, I have to get the vag's permission every time I want to use it. Fortunately it doesn't request my vehicle to be taken out though.

VAG FAP. Yes, it was shown at the beginning of a trailer (can't remember which tbqh), although it's dark and you can't see much. It's at the photo mode location that the E3 2010 trailer opens with.

what's wrong with classic cars? The most valuable cars in the world are classics. And they changed cars...heck, if it weren't for the Corvette and GTO we wouldn't have the Viper and Challenger and others.

I know that the Porsche argument is getting boring... But we want a complete game, and with one of the major manufactures still out, we can't feel that OUR game is going to be perfect...

No, Classic as in Classic / Premium, or Standard / Premium as they're called now.

If you want a list of the "Standard" cars, simply look at the PSP GT's car list. All of those will be in. Around 800 if you deduct the ones turned Premium.

what? Really? would you really NOT buy a game 'cause Porsche (the most boring car maker in the world) isn't in the game? Really? If they're not in the game it's because EA's hogging them or the company turned them down when Kaz asked. Besides, I'm sure RUF will be in and they're tuned up Porsches. I think we can find something else to complain about other than the company that uses a stencil to design their cars isn't in the game. I would seriously rather argue about the standard vs. premium crap.

Speaking of which:
