Classic cars take prominent role in new game
An eagerly-anticipated new computer game will allow console fans to get behind the virtual wheel of a number of iconic classic cars, it has been confirmed.
Gran Turismo 5, which is set to be released towards the end of the year, is the latest in a hugely successful series that has sold over 53 million units since December 1997.
According to its official website, "the world''s hottest cars from car manufacturers all over the globe, both past and present, have been gathered".
Among the 1,000-plus models gamers can choose from will be a
1950s Facel Vega HK500, a 1960s Jensen CV8 and a 1970s Alfa Romeo 2000 Sprint Veloce.
Classic car fans will be able to take their historic vehicles for a spin in 20 locations and 70 lay-outs in Gran Turismo 5 when it hits the shelves on November 2nd.
Last month, Daily Telegraph motoring expert Jasper Gerard described the Facel Vega HK500 as the "best car you''ve probably never heard of".

I just hadn't seen those cars mentioned in regards to GT5 before, and if indeed its true, a Facel Vega looks ...interesting
