I think you could add the Mazda 110S and the Old Mini to the list, along with a blue JGTC

EDIT: Oh crap, just realized they were for PSP. lol

there is no PORSCHE!, nissan silvia, civic type R, honda fit, M6, slk 55 amg.. :(

It's a work in progress, GT5 still has 5 months plus until release and they haven't been showing much yet.

Take an AE86 and go drift it, there's a reason why it's the drift kings car :sly:
Keiichi Tsuchiya for life!

Yes, because people have spent many thousands of dollars (millions of yen) on upping the horsepower, changing the suspension, stiffening the body, upgrading the brakes and so on and so on.

The standard car is nothing special.

PS - The Silva/180sx/200sx/240sx series from Nissan is more popular for drifting by FAR.

The standard car is very good... learn about what youre talking about before hand.

180sx is underpowered. needs a turbo for drifting.

All 180sx's already have a turbo out of the factory. 180sx being JDM models only (not including 240sx) unlike the Silvia which has NA models too.

Driven one of them in real life - they really are nothing special. They just happen to be a collection of easily upgradeable bits in the right configuration and in the one box.

So whats the deal on the psp car list issue??

It seems like the psp list has been confirmed by the "blog" but what does that mean for the PS3 version.. Since the PSP list uses "creative" counting, that brings it down to almost 100 less cars right?? Like about 730. With the final version getting around 1000-1050 cars, I think that 300 cars would be a great addition to the newer version. It would be awesome because the psp list contains some obscure cars, like the Nardo W12, that would still be a blast to drive.

However, I would hope that they are pretty selective about the new cars that are going to make it. For example, to have a MCLAREN F1, LM, and GTR version (not longtail), would be a good example of good additions. It looks like they got down the japanese list already, with a few modern additions left from 05 and beyond and it would be updated enough.

I guess I am just speculating, but I feel like they need to represent the American and European car market a little better. There are some beasts out there!! (Ligenfelter Corvette)

No one knows for sure yet. I tried getting clarification during the last GT related blog post, but there was no answer. That's why, if you read back through the last bit of the thread, he is not adding any of those cars yet.

What about it?

I hope that we will see McLaren F1 and F1 LM in Gran turismo 5 also F1 GTR version from GT4... That is for me best car in world!!!!! :)

Check out SEMA.. There will be HPA TT and JR Gocha G35s playable and most likely in the game.

Now a stock one isnt as good, but if you compare it to other cheap coupes of its time it was way ahead. Excellent fun factor and good chassis.

This is really a dissapointing car list. Gran Turismo 4 had over 700 different car models, why is it heading this way, with merely around 100 cars? I understand quality before quantity, but then they ought to use more time developing the game. If this is more or less the final car list, i think it's a sad evolution for the game series. Also, i don't get why they didn't just include all the cars from the previous games, and add the new ones, instead of making a completely new cars list in every title.

Um, these are just the cars we know "for sure" will be in it, but we also know there will be 950+ cars in the game.

But what does i matter, if only hundred of those have been confirmed? Will they then only confirm the last 850 when the game has been released?

It matters because there are more than 100 cars? We believe many if not all of GT4's cars will be there. And I don't see why they would release the list with 5 months to go before the game comes out. They will likely release the list after it is released , which they did with GTPSP.

Okay, that sounds promising. I hope they at least include the same cars as GT4, or the same type of cars i would say, where 90% of them aren't the token ricers, like this list slightly seems to predict.

I think its safe to say perhaps half of GT4's cars will be there, some will surely be scraped out, and I'm hoping those extra Japanese ones, because when we look at that master car list, we've like found out half of the new cars to be included if that was the case.

There are no extra Japanese cars, could always use more.

I really hope more American cars make it into this game. I have seriously considered getting a 360 because of Forza 3. I love GT. I've played it since GT1. But, the car selection has always been very heavy on Japanese cars. Even if I did get Forza, I would still get gt5 anyway. lol.
