GT5 Master Car List

Does anybody know whether this will be a universal car list or if there'll be regional variations as on some of the older GTs since the car list came from polyphony's Japanese website?

c'mon you mean that not all 1000 cars willl have cockpit view? that's not cool ! is only me who had big expecting for this game?well now forza 3 is better they have 400 cars all with cockpit view you know and we have sad that gt5 is better btw i am a ps3 user not a 360 fanboy

Fail, have you played the game?.... 👎

nope, i haven't played the game yet. but as far as car content is concerned you don't have to be very intelligent to see that forza 3 has way more interesting car list. in the matter of fact all you need to know is to know how to read. for me the GT5's car list is a huuuuge dissapointment, especially premium/standard stuff.:indiff:

I am so disappointed with the official list. So many similar cars. For example, why do we need a hundred types of Skyline? For me, this game does not have mote then 1000 cars. If you clean the list, removing the similar cars and the indifferent ones, I don’t think we will have more then 400-500 cars. And, by the way, where are the 2010 models?

Oh no, not 3. Its one thing to be biased, an then there is PD bias. I rather see 50 different Mustangs (and you could totally do it and keep each Mustang more different than the 50 Skylines are between them) and more muscle cars than cars I could probably drive in real life anyways. We play games to do things we couldn't do other wise, not drive cars crappier than our real life cars.

I understand what your saying but there are cars that we've seen before not in the list, so I don't think it's complete. And about the muscle car thing Kaz did just pick a 69 camaro for the sema winner but he has also chosen other muscle car winners. I feel maybe a few more muscle cars in GT5 but I'm not upset about it.

I think naturally Kaz being Japanese just because of his culture and where he is from that he is going to pick more Japanese cars to put in his game than any other, but since we are choosing to buy his product I (we) have no right to complain.

Citroen DS3 is not in the car list, but we can seen it in real car's photos of the game

Really? Could you show us a picture, please?

I'm not sure if GT5 is going to sell well in Europe. Us Europeans love hot hatches (Mégane, Clio, Saxo, Golf, Focus, Fiesta, etc) and diesels. So far the only great cars that my age group (20-30) can own IRL and enjoy in the game is:

- BMW 120d (will be replaced in by a new model in the next few months)
- Mégane (the one that got replaced by a new model almost 2 years ago)
- 106 Rallye (great car, 10 years old)
- Cooper S (again, obsolete)
- 6 year old Seat Ibiza Cupra
- 2010 Focus RS...lol just kidding, it's the 9 year old one.

and that's it.

Plus the C30 T5, Megane 225 RS, current shape Mini Cooper S and 08 Civic Type R(us Europeans like all hot hatches!) The Megane may have been replaced but it's still a recent model.

To further improve the European appeal don't forget Monza, Nurburg' GP and the various new supercars and sportscars which have been added.

Must agree with this.. Sorry PD, but I am seriously tempted by M$, Turn10 and Forza 3.. maybe 4. The car list is AWFUL; out of 1000 cars, there are 6 European Hot Hatches; I was happy when I saw the Megané, then I saw the picture and sighed. I'm seriously disappointed that GT5 has 1000+ cars, yet has a load of Japanese dups and a crap amount of (decent and not outdated) European cars. Yet Forza manages to squeeze every single car I would want on GT5 in a 400 car limit. Hmm. Very worried atm.. :nervous:

Stop the Forza versus GT - you guys need to appreciate both - I have both FM3 and GT4 ( soon to be GT5) - I see it as a complete car list when you combine them together - I still manage to find time to play Enthusia on the PS2 as its the only one that features a Jaguar X-Type & XJR. Sure GT5 has a massive list but if you want to fire a Bugatti in cockpit view around the ring - hit up Forza and vice versa. I'm not a dedicated fanboy from either camp - I just appreciate virtual racing and what one lacks, the other will surely make up.
