I did some final revising. By adding some rally/road tracks in GT3 and GT2 that were not present in GT4 and by assuming some likely NASCAR tracks and world circuits, I've reached 70. The pinnacle.

I grew up in upstate New York and was practically raised by going to races at the Glen. It'd be a dream if it was included in the game. And, I could reasonably see PD including the track since they have the NASCAR license now. They already have Sears Point, so with Watkins Glen they'd have both road course tracks that are on the NASCAR circuit.

You basically just described me. I still live in upstate NY, and I've attended the NASCAR, IRL, and Grand-Am race each year since I was 12. Are you from Chemung County to?

Nope, Ontario County. I just PM'ed you since we're getting off-topic and some members seem to be really adamant about this kind of stuff.

Texas motor speedway(maybe Indianapolis speedway) appeared in this

Like i said in the other thread, the gameplay at 3'09 looks like Indy.
Texas doesnt have grass on the inside of the banked corners, only at the start/finish line.

Very well done SrRD.. That's exactly what I think KY means. That man is annoying with all his secret codes and stupidly awkward ways of explaining things.

By the looks of the Theoretical track list, Montreal Circuit Gilles V. Is OUT AGAIN!

DESPITE being a legendary f1 circuit(new contract from 2010-2014), a prototype\gt circuit AND a NASCAR circuit(since 07).

Thank you. It isn't too deceptive after I found the video interview from TGS '09 and analyzed his speech.

It's really simple: A layout is a track, whether or not it's just a variation of a track. And to get 70 was quite easy. GT4 has about 50. And adding 20 tracks (some from previous titles and assuming some new ones), we can reach 70.

And as I am so modest, I will guess my list is about 92% right. ;)

Tokyo Game Show 2009

IGN: How many different locations will we see in the game?

Yamauchi- There's 20 locations and there's going to be 70 different types of courses that are going to be in those locations.

I am sticking with that! Straight from his mouth and not from a magazine.

First post on these boards, so here goes...

Like most people, i'm trying to figure out what KY means by 20 locations, 70 layouts. After reading the article where he says 20 different types of scenery, I think he could mean areas of country/countries.

An example of this is the area of East Belguim & West Germany. The scenery in this area is largely the same. Its woodland area. In that, there are 4 different tracks cut out inside woodland. Hockenhiem, Nurburgring, Cicuit Zolder, Spa-Francorchamps. All circuits are about 3 or 4 hours drive away from each other and all 4 appear in the world clock in GT5P.

You could do the same with the Top Gear test track (confirmed) and Brands Hatch (in GT5P world clock) in the South of England (Silverstone sits in central England).

I believe a couple of American tracks in California are not exactly a world apart.

One thing I do think will happen, is that all the rally courses in GT 1 through 4 will be dumped. It would make more sense switching to a more WRC point to point, now they have obtained a license. Especially as WRC has multiply stages again in the same area.

Anyway, just my thoughts.

the God of War III GT5 Trailer shows off a bunch of tracks, including Tsukuba, Rome, Indianapolis (with the infield AND oval shown in same shot), and a night course or two (looks like SSR11, SSR5 or the Tokyo course at night. My money's on SSR11, though.)

The night track looks like SSR5, definitely not Tokyo and the others are already on the list.

EDIT: I see, SSR5 is also already on the list, good.

Afraid its not SSR11. Its the latter part of SSR5. There is a very small section of the track that has an overpass running directly above it (not long after the hairpin). The track also rises from a lower elevation. Both can be seen in the new trailer when the car heads straight for the camera after emerging from what looks like a dip in the road.

It looks like both SSR5 and SSR11 (the part where it heads towards the camera is where cars emerge from the lower section in GT1's version) are in the video.
