GT5 Master Track List (NOT a wishlist)

Personally, I think that the "locations" thing was/is a (probably deliberate) wrong choice of words and PD/Yamauchi really meant real tracks instead. If you think about it, in the GT5 Prologue weather location screen there were 21 locations, which would have fit the "20+" figure and been coherent with all the hints given here and there (including weather/time of day, etc).

As for countries, if we include tracks that we think will appear, there are 16 of them (including a fictional "GT" country for original circuits of unknown location):

Belgium
Canada
China
France
French Polynesia
Germany
GT
Italy
Japan
Monaco
Portugal
South Korea
Spain
Switzerland
United Kingdom
USA

As for GT5P weather locations:

Of these, Infineon and Twin Ring Motegi are guaranteed to be included, Spa and Hockenheim likely to be; Silverstone has more than a chance (due to it having an important role for GT Academy). Regarding the rest, it's unknown whether it will appear or not.

What track were you referring to when you put Canada on that list?

Just GTPSP and TT.

I think that gives it a much higher chance of being in GT5, I don't know why I just feel it. 💡

Edit: Imagine if all of this was taken from GT5:

Possibly could have, GTPSP's graphics were no good compared to the GT5 like graphics in the trailer above.

I'm not pointing anything out but I'm also saying; don't be shocked if they announce all the original tracks that were in GTPSP

It's like have Bugatti Veyron in PSP quality.I bet no.At least it has been upscaled. (proper re-texturing)

You don't understand what I'm getting at. I'm saying that possibly the PSP intro was done with GT5/GT5 Graphics. Because it is no where near the PSP quality (much, much higher the trailer)

I agree with you, the PSP intro looks like it's been done with GT5 graphics. I've just watched it, and the Red/Black Veyron has a lot more shine on it, compared to in-game graphics.

Most of the intro models are GT4 quality, or PSP quality with higher resolution textures. Obviously they are using car shadows, shading and post processing that match the GT5 trailers, but I don't think the environments themselves are upgraded, like they don't seem to cast shadows on the cars.
It does show they're capable of putting all the GT4 tracks onto the PS3, but they were already planning that for GTHD.

I would not read to much into the quality of the opening video. GT 4 opening video looks better than the in game graphics also.

There are plenty of hints though. The Trial mountain in the PSP GT opening intro movie looks exactly as it does in GT5 gameplay, as shown at TGS this year. The tunnel section specifically

Also parts of the intro movie are shown in the RedBull "Horsepower" GT5 trailer

SHIRAKAWA Akira, maybe this can add to your speculation list:

Note: Infineon raceway is likely to be added, In my opinion

Sports Car layout

Stock car (NASCAR) layout + Drag Strip. Maybe the drag strip will be added?

infineonracewayindyandb.jpg

Indy Car + Motorbike layout. As the hairpin has no run-off area, the track is shortened

There's also a small track owned by Infineon, maybe it can count as a track (such as Motorland from GT4):

I hope this helps, but this is just pure speculation. :)

Thanks, but if you are referring to the list containing variation names in purple, that was a pure speculation exercise to reach 150 unique variation with about 60 tracks.

As you say anyway, Infineon is likely to be added. It was in GT4/PSP and in the list of track reference material. You mentioned about a karting track in its vicinity, most race track have that. If PD were to add karting tracks from every real circuit, the variation number would rise considerably.

Do you think that the tracks in the opening have more chance than other ones to appear in GT5, or do you think that all tracks in the game have all about equal chance?

Pretty sure this is the Enzo model in the intro.

It's also the one seen in the Red Bull trailer for some reason, even though there is a much higer detail Premium version available now.

Yeah maybe it's all footage from 2-3 years ago, and they still had to add all the polygons and textures to make these cars premium.

I still don't understand why they don't call in Monte Carlo instead of CoteDAZur or whatever.

They need a license for Monaco© But they don't need one for Monte Carlo, and Monte Carlo sounds twice as nice than CoteDaZur.

I have no clue of how Cotedazur is spelled and honestly I don't care. :D

Nobody knows.

Probably for the same reason they named Capri "Costa di Amalfi" and Assisi "Citta di Aria" ?
And "Cathedral Rocks" instead of Yosemite.

Monaco is the name of the principality so no, they don't need a license just to call it Monaco.

It's called Côte d'Azur because it's what the French Riviera is called. It's the name of the Southeast French coastline, Monaco and extends all the way to the Italian border.

PS - You should know how to spell in French considering it's one of your official languages. :P
