I took a closer look at the Qore video (frame by frame with Windows Movie Maker) and I've got the idea that there is a rut visible on this track, from a different car or lap. Not sure though, because of the quick camera movement and therefore most of the track being all blurry.

Good find 👍

However, are you aware that snow ruts have already been confirmed here

From the Top Gear GT5 Special:

...behemoth: a game of 1,000 high-def cars,70-odd track combinations and the most advanced physics code ever seen in a racing title...

I hope this helps. And 'odd' doesn't mean an odd number, just an alternative for 'around'.

That's music to my ears, and should be to everyone else here.

I sure hope that none at GTPlanet believes the physics engine will be different between Premium and Standards...

.. that would be even petty for this place.:ouch:

"Here" doesn't work, but I think you are referring to a thread I created myself (from the Veronica magazine). Things aren't confirmed until I see it for myself, or PD/Sony mention them. :dopey:

By taking into account the currently confirmed/spotted tracks there already well over 70 combinations if we include reverse variations, so we can be pretty much confident that this figure doesn't include them (However I'm starting to wonder how many unique tracks we will actually have if some of those we have seen have at least 4 unique variations, like Nuerburgring or La Sarthe).

Not quite sure how the ruts work in Motorstorm but I think they're done just like skidmarks but drawn with a fancy shader, which would be easy enough to implement.

Definitely not expecting something like Sega Rally Revo's geo deformation, which must use a huge amount of memory:

That looks insane and I hope for something like that, or somewhat less profound. But most importantly, if ruts are really in, than they should have an influence on how a car handles through them. Meaning: staying within a rutted track allows for better cornering, or something along those lines.

The list showing circuits coming from the recent F1 championship was temporarily based on unconfirmed rumors from racesimcentral.com, discussed about 100 pages ago. It's old and deliberately inaccurate (it was made to show what a list containing those tracks would have looked like). Other than that rumor, there's been no other mention of those tracks.

You guys are about to force me to delete/edit old posts :(
If you really wanted to discuss about speculated tracks you could have quoted this much more recent and better sourced post.

I'll stick with the confirmed list and anything else will be a pleasant surprise (+ Course Maker).

@SHIRAKAWA Akira, did we ever find a place to put this track. these images appears to be an old Le Mans Circuit?. From the Red Bull Trailer TGS.

The conclusion was that it's the series of sweeping curves from a newer layout (from the 2000s), not an older one:

The video begins where the red circle in the map above touches the green track on its left side.

I apologise about the broken link, very clumsy mistake on my part there :dunce:.

But anyway no, I refer to the PSM3 article Here (this link works ;)), which, whilst still unofficial, I would consider as a much more reliable source than the magazine mentioned in your post, and I don't think anyone really questions its authenticity.

Like I say though, a good find anyway, if anything it further confirms what we 'know' 👍.

In fact ruts make driving extremely difficult. You knew if you have driven on gravel roads.

The improved visuals and fireworks on Toscana :)
Grass, lighting, better trees, 3D spectators that take photos etc
Or it could be a different track. The fireworks were first shown on the RedBull TGS "horsepower" trailer.

I want too see more picture like that, somebody know to find?

That's creating drag I'd say. I mean, what's the point of all the aerodynamics if your going to race with your doors open?

Maybe they stopped to see the view and what a view it is :D

Yes that is Eiger, in the first picture you can see the bridge just after the hairpins.
