It's not wrong, just not very accurate as the upper part was more or less "guessed" from a very blurry image. The smaller image I posted above for the south and the inner variations of Cape Ring is more faithful to the actual track layout.

I'm 100% sure it's Cape Ring (or whathever it's called in the final build).
The inner loop layout fits perfectly with the South variation we've seen some time back.

Wasn't this Cape Ring? Or is this picture wrong?

Don't worry. That picture shows the variations of the Cape Ring track.
According to SHIRAKAWA Akira's post (#3569) the colors mean:

-light blue-> Cape Ring South
-red-> Cape Ring North
-the video you saw -> Cape Ring Inner Loop
-green-> Cape Ring Outer Loop
-dark blue-> Cape Ring Long

Maybe, the names aren't right but that's my guess after SHIRAKAWA Akira's post.

Now I saw the video again and agree with you. The big top loop matches exactly with the picture we had from "South Cape Ring". :) Thank you all

There's still a possibility of 2 extra courses, not so sure about them though.

-A full course with inner ring, but utilising the opposite 'connectors' to the other one full course with inner ring.

-A course with the outer section of the south and inner section of the north, as the connectors share tarmac.

-(A course with the inner section of the south and outer section of the north is impossible due to no pit lanes)

Hm good points! not expecting even more variations though.

There is a weird narrow lane inside the long 180 corner, but I'm not sure what that's supposed to be, might just be an access road put there for effect and not driveable.

Well here is something a bit interesting that I found while looking at the trophy list:

-Beyond the Autobahn – Drive 12,718km in total – the length of all Germany´s Autobahns combined -- bronze

As far as I know none of us have tough about Autobahns,of course this counts as a maybe but all of those full speed highway shots could be from Autobahns.

Well what do you think Shirakawa?

I think it implies... that you drive a total of 12,000 klicks ingame.. not that you drive the entire autbahn system of germany..

I don't think those highway shots are from german Autobahns (I still think about a different variation of Special Stage tracks, which might end up having a different name this time - something like "GT Metropolis"?), but they could have been the source of inspiration for this trophy.

Sorry for the last post,obviously the track from the video is a city track(I didn't get the idea), although it leaves me with the question of the Day/night transitions that could be possible,I could be wrong but it seems from several game conferences that the R256 is have noon and afternoon settings,again I could be wrong.

Yup, Wikipedia:

Germany's autobahn network has a total length of about 12,174 km (As of 2005)

There won't be 12,174km of German roads in there :(

Unless you design 1200 10km Course Maker stages in German Springtime or wtv. :)

YOu won't be missing much, most of Germany is just tree, tree, sausage, tree, volkswagen, tree, tree beer, beer, tree, beer, sausage. Just kidding :lol:

You forgot Porsche...Then again, so did PD. :P

Hint for Tsukuba Course 1000 and Oval Course inclusion?

Sorry if this has been said numerous times but I would love it if Mount Panorama was included. Unfortunately, based on what I have heard, it's not likely that we will see it in GT5.

I guess there's always GT6 (or DLC). Either way, the game is going to be epic

Also the possibility of a short course and a chicane course for '2000'. I know they weren't in GT4 but I imagine given the utilisation PD are doing now of each circuit it seems plausible.
