I DEFINITELY want to see someone attempt a drift run around Cape Ring (doesn't matter what configuration because all are great). This course is going to be a blast to race and/or drift around. The looping portion is unique in that it goes uphill and has sufficient banking as you trudge upward (in the Normal direction). Very unique and very unusual course. The Cape Ring full circuit is going to be a real grind-it-out track. Only the South and Inside configurations don't feature the Cape Ring loop.

It's great to see more original courses. People complain about fictional/original courses like these fantasy courses don't exist, but you have to applaud the creativity of Polyphony Digital to create such courses.

Yep. I think Cape Ring looks so varied and unusual because they must have had a part time testing facility for tyres and road cars in mind.
Manufacturers and tyre companies have their own crazy tracks to test a variety of driving conditions, The only thing missing is a giant oval surrounding the track.

In that youtube vid it says these are only begginer tracks, and track list by PD has the exact same tracks as the begginer track vid . So I 'recon' (so its a hopeful guess) that PD wont reveil other tracks that are to be unlocked. Maybe... but its just a thought

Is English your first language? :indiff:

Seriously if you officially announce NASCAR, WRC SUPERGT, Karting to be part of a HUGE game like GT5 you HAVE to include a certain amount of tracks that wil be used specifically for those competitions, not just 2 of each.

Track editor=Lack of tracks

I see this now,I been doing some research and it turns out that no F1 circuit overpass the 16km mark(about 10 miles)and then there is some recording that Track editor/creator has 10 mile limit,so in if elevation and banking changes can be done we can make the same "full circuits" out of the editor, might work to relieve the anger caused by this latest announcement, without the backgrounds almost all tracks can be redone, unfortunately I don't understand why citta di aria,HK,amalfi, seoul,NY and midfield has to suffer this treatment,in any case what I want to point out is that PD release the track editor with the purpose of "we make the tracks",something that they should do in the first place.

Exactly my thoughts so when you reach a new Level that will unlock Nurburgring and The Top gear test Track only :scared:

Track creator has a 10km/6,25 Mi limit.

I think adding tracks as DLC would be tough, due to size of download, unless they are already on disc and just need an unlock key. I may be wrong. Cars may be easier to add as DLC.

Tracks that are in the game have been offically confirmed-its of no benefit to PD to hold back info now. PD may have realised fans wouldn't be happy with the exclusion of favourite tracks-so they may have included the course maker to soften the blow. PDs way of saying to fans 'Here you go-create your own tracks if what we have done doesn't please you'.

I'm pleased enough with that :)

And Nürburgring Nordschleife at night...how sweet will that be?!

The Czech guys could help answer this.

Did they unlock new tracks, other then the Ring and The Top Gear track, by now?

Can someone upload a track map of Cape Ring with all its variations? I've been looking...unsuccessfully.

All layouts of Cape Ring with the same scale:

I never noticed that until now so good point. Perhaps like GT3 and GT4, more become availabe as you progress.

I'd find this list hard to believe...

To me it seems they have only shown the unlocked tracks + a couple that they couldn't NOT say...

PD has always kept surprises of some description... sure their hand may've been forced to release these lists (Car & Track) by copies 'out in the wild'...

However they would be safely in the knowledge that no-one could've got to all unlocked tracks at this point of time...

Sorry but i don´t trust very much in the GT5 track list gave by PD ,it doesn´t just make sense....

When Gt4 came out it would have 50 tracks (and reversed ones didn´t count)

I counted 53 tracks without the reverse ones and PD said that the game was going to have 70 tracks...

Now there is 2 things

The other tracks from older GT´s are going to be in gt5 aswell

or

the reverse tracks are part of the 70 track list in gt5

i´m just saying....

Nobody will have unlocked all the cars yet either, and yet we have what is apparently a complete list - based on everything PD have said during development, I don't think anyone was seriously expecting more than 1031 cars.

I really hope you're right, I just can't see any way that you can be.

I guess if these Czech guys (or somebody else) unlock any new tracks not on the list, It will blow this out of the water that this is the complete list. I think we will know shortly after a lot of people have been playing a few days.

Cape Ring is raced clockwise. Correct?

Exactly.
But I'm sure there will be reverse versions of that original track - the "official track list" as it is, is simply ridiculous in many aspects.
For example time and weather changes are available on the Nuerburgring 24h layout, but not on all other ones which are, to put it simply, shorter versions of it? This doesn't make sense.

If there are more tracks than listed, I'm sure that by now they have unlocked or at least seen some of them in a few races.
Problem is, they won't tell us. They seem very evasive, communication with them has always appeared to be rather monodirectional.

Anyway I don't see how it would be profitable for Sony not to release today the hypothetical full track and car list with everything we are/were expecting.

What's happening right now? People are getting a bit upset, some are even canceling their orders.
Why? Because two official lists have been published and there is nothing suggesting there will be more, track and car wise.

A valid point... but as Famine has noted in the the Car Thread... with the documentation that The359 did and subsequently with the new owner... coupled with the PD previously confirmed that GTPSP cars would also make the list (Standards mostly) - there was no real reason to withhold the car list... it was ~95+% identified...

Tracks however has always been speculated... and nowhere near that level of confirmation. Therefore there is reason to still not confirm 'locked' tracks if they exist.
