What bothers me is that we have not seen ever the left out tracks (apart from El C) in the trailers or pictures.

Motegi,A Hill,Midfield,Paris,Seoul, new York and all the others.

I hope not but it might be a great chance they do not return in GT5.

I don't think it's the final list.
A few days ago we had a new gameplay vid from the retail version, I think with a MX-5 Miata. If I remeber right, noboby could recognized that track and it wasn''t in this new list, too. Unfortunally I can't find that vid again... (And I don't mean Cape Ring - it was a more realistic and very flat track.)

Does anybody remember that one? Can someone post that vid again to proof my speculation?

I can post more speculation to assist with your specualtion that this isn't teh full track list. 8 pieces actually

1) GTP reported that hockenhiem was reported to be in the game after an event there.

2) the karting track we have seen and driven but isn't there

3) Chirs Miranda said that there WAS DEFINATELY MORE THAN 100 TRACKS IN THE GAME. Even counting with there stupid method it only comes up to 90 something

4) The latest GT academy was privately told to Jordan to be on Spa or Indy. (he said in a post in news). A bit weird to nearly do it on Spa, and then appear not to have even modelled the track for tha game in the first place! And to put so much importance that it may be in the closest thing to a GT5 demo and then it not to be in GT5

5) Weather locations. They all link to tracks, all the tracks have either been already shown, proven over time or highly speculated, mostly due to other reasons. Those aren't mentioned

6) The list is rather bloated. It mentions tracks twice even without saying anything after each one. WE have top gear test track twice... for instance. Neither say reverse weather or light.

7) The arcade videos that we have seen show these tracks. Previous GT's show a small amount and then teh rest is unlocked. Possibly this is the small amount and the rest is to be unlocked. Weather on tracks that you have already driven seem like a PD thing to unlock.

8) Kaz has said that he is leaving thigns for us to find in GT5 all by ourselves. Could some of this be tracks?

There are 8 points to muse over. Probably more, what do you guys think?

I don't mind the premium/standard business and a few missing cars. There are loads of cars/loads of premium cars to keep us occupied.

I do mind the (decreasing) amount of tracks. Let's hope we can get some more: hidden or add-ons.

No, he is right:

One last thing about that, A Fiat 500 race at the Piazza may well be part of the Grand Tour, it doesn't seem out of place for racing dinky Italian cars around a dinky Italian track. :)

If you notice, all the Special Events provide you with specific car for each race, just like licence tests/missions.

++++

There has been no game that comes to mind that would spoil everything for us. I'm confident in saying that list is incomplete. I'm willing to bet a Ferrari F10 to anyone who thinks El Capitain isn't in ;O. We have been given car lists/track lists that are incomplete before. Why start now. Right now, we can only speculate. Keep the griping down, and the speculating up! Gripe after you've played the game, and have completed at least 33% of the races.

GUYS? I GOT A GREAT IDEA to (possibly) proof additional tracks in the game!
But for that we need somebody who owns the retail version of the game.

The trick is simple: If you look into the user manual of, say, GT4, at "Credits" you found all car manufacturers,
but also all names of real world tracks (like "Infineon Raceway").

So if you've got the official retail version of GT5 or you know someone who owns it,
please look into the credits of the manual and search for SPA, HOCKENHEIM or INFINEON!

Or, better: Take some photos of that pages and post it here!! ;)

And please do it NOW. :D

Best Idea Today. 👍👍

Could it be possible that some of the cars are hidden?

I remember playing GT3 back when it was released and some of the cars you could win were not to find in the car dealership menu.

No, I'm pretty sure they showed everything they've got.

So not only does Forza 3 have a better car list, it also has a better track selection. Here are a few that Forza includes and GT doesn't.

-Mugello
-Valencia
-Catalunya
-Road America (one of the greatest tracks on the planet)
-Road Atlanta
-Sebring
-Silverstone
-Motegi

Hey, PD! Notice how I didn't even count the different layouts!?

So content wise, Forza wins easily.

I really don't know if I'm going to spend 70 euros for this game and this is coming from someone who loves Gran Turismo...

I'm still not sure if they gave us the full track list. The carlist is definately the final one, since it actually says ''Full car list" when you go to it on the PS Blog. For the track list however it just says "Track list" there. And on the official GT site it doesn't even mention 'full' on the carlist.

I'm fine with the carlist, but I really hope there are still some more of the original GT tracks (Apricot Hill, Grand Canyon, Tahiti Maze, El Capitan, Midfield, Citta di Aria, Costa di Amalfi, New York, Seattle).

But they do mention 'over 20 locations' everywhere though.. even on the boxart. And there's already 25 locations with the current tracklist so I'm guessing it should be the final one after all. Just hope we can at least get those original GT tracks through DLC.

I really hope this is not the entire list, and would be frustrated if it is, especially the omission of Infineon. At the same time, I prefer not to think there could be more tracks because I don't want to get disappointed again.

Another thought... not proof but a bigger thought.

Sony is trying to respond to the videos of lists.

If they put out 'an official list' which includes all tracks in s the game comes before unlocking. It kind of strips the leaks ability to leak.

That is what is commonly termed.. CLUTCHING AT STRAWS.

If they release a NEW list now.. they might aswell come right out and say...

Woops we out the wrong list up... SILLY US... sorry for the confusion..

With all that's going on around GT5 at the moment, do you think they will want to publically announce another goof up.

Just to clarify. Didn't Kaz say 70 tracks? If so could the 70 just be variations?
What is the total track count for GT5 according to the list? Seems like it to me.

Yes, certainly looks like it, and there doesn't appear to be any other circuits with trees like that around the circuit.
