Ah, ok. Can we assume that the list we have been given is not an absolute complete list of tracks, due to missing Ice Arena and El Capitan? What about the missing versions of Fuji, or are we not going to get them at all?

Where going to have to wait 11 days to find out, It will either be a suprise or a disapointment. Lets just hope PD are reluctant to show unlockable tracks.

I'll have a guess and say we'll get stung with a cost for a track download pack pretty soon after release, give it till January, then we might see some old favs and a new track at a cost. Common practice these days :(

Yeah, I'll agree with that one, but I think it may be around March, rather than January, that we would see the track DLC.

There was a link posted to a Google translation about the possibility that the track list may be a partial because it's from review copies.

PD made it so that makes no sense. Although of course I have no doubt that this is as complete as what we knew before we got to see it.

It could be that this is the list of all available tracks both in Career and Arcade mode from the start. Not the entire list.

Although it makes no sense and PD seems to be continuing its run of poor performance in the PR department. Why does everything have to be smoke and mirrors!

Also counting a track thats foggy, wet, night is a sorry excuse to bump up the variation count. Why don't you say, oh this one has a few leaves on it... so thats another track!! :yuck:

I think if they offered tracks like: Spa, Silverstone, Hockenheim or Road Atlanta (including weather effects), as DLC, I'd gladly fork over EUR 10~15 EACH.

Actually, this might make an interesting poll.
If they see enough posts like this, if they weren't thinking about doing this, maybe they will now. Although I'd love to have several additional tracks including those mentioned by you, I don't want to pay that much for EACH, more like that much for 3-4 solid tracks. Not to mention, I only have so much space on my HD to add to.

They were smart to make it DLC if they did because i'd pay for it :guilty:

IMO, it just sucks they took this long and it doesn't appear they are making this a game worth a wait that long as far as the tracks and cars go. I'm sure the physics (with the exception of the damage modeling) and detail will be awesome but the lists are not worthy.

Of course, I'll get it and surely be happy with it but I can't stop thinking Forza has several better cars and tracks.

The thing is, as people have said before, even if they do release tracks as DLC, we won't be able to play them in GT mode because I doubt they'd edit the tracks into the existing series of races.

They'd only be useable for arcade mode and online (which is good though).

I'm sorry, said who? You could quite easily install new menu screens, and make the main menu to run off the HDD. You could also use them in online mode.

Wow, the reaction to the officially released track list here is pathetic.

Over 20 locations. Over 70 variations. That's what was stated, that's what's being delivered.

I warned Jordan the other week that just because he'd seen a track doesn't mean it's going to be included in GT5 and he obviously felt that should be rewarded with a slap on the wrist. Luckily for him (and of course every other GT fan) Cote d'Azur is in the game or he'd be looking very stupid now. Well, no, in fact in a way - he is.

The point I made is always going to be true and people get too carried away with what they've seen, heard or think. Just how many of you are upset because what's being delivered isn't what you wished for in this thread: "GT5 Master Track List (NOT a wishlist)". :ouch: It's painful to see so many people now crying over the many hours they spent making epic lists of what WILL BE in GT5 based on rumours, speculation and many assumptions. 👎 Hopefully many of you will have learned a lesson with that, but at least now you'll have something to copy / paste for "GT6 Master Track List (NOT a wishlist)".

I heard if you wish hard enough for something, it comes true, so maybe if we wish really hard, we'll get all GT4 tracks. But unfortunately this isn't a wishlist.

There's no longer any reason to think that's not all the tracks aside from any special location events in Bern etc. I don't think GT2 listed the 360 degree licence test corners or the Eau Rouge-a-like as tracks either.

Won't there be a track editor? And can we share tracks? If so, maybe we should start a group to create tracks and post them so others can download.

Not having time change and weather at "Daytona" is a load if crap. Variation 1 Super Speedway has the Firecracker 400
on July 4th. That race starts in the evening and finishes under the lights. Variation 2 Road Course has the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. This obviously is a day to night to day race and they race in the rain.

What are these guys thinking!!!

Calm down, Lord Doomsayer! ;)

We'll have to wait and see. And we all have still hope that it's not the full list.

Doomsayer........ Doomsayer? 👎

Wait and see? How about that Czech guy who's had the game nearly a week, that guy who posted the GT5 intro and other videos... He would have been able to confirm many other tracks by now if they are available.

Just supposing we had to finish some part of GT5 to 'unlock' - say - El Capitan, then in a way that's fine, but think about all the people who wouldn't ever get that far and how it would affect online races, B-Spec completion, etc.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility of DLC, but until I see DLC officially confirmed and tracks officially listed, I couldn't honestly say that tracks that have been "teased" aren't being held back for GT6 (if at all)! Right now, the only people posting original videos of tracks that haven't been confirmed in GT5 are Polyphony Digital.

Did Polyphony Digital even post that trailer? I heard it was not for public viewing and pulled soon after it appeared on the Red Bull site. Still doesn't excuse why they put GTPSP artwork in it, but it got in there somehow.

But why would PD publish a track list that is just from review copies and not from the final GT5 for the public.

Heard of GT3 and GT4 yet?

Gran Turismo 5 - TGS 2010 trailer shows El Captain...
they can't put a track in a trailer if i isn't in the game...
That trailer was not the official TGS trailer, it was first uploaded on Redbull website and then they took it down after a few hours. It wasn't even supposed to be shown publicly according to what the mods said.
