GT5 Master Track List (NOT a wishlist)

This is a track list I made.

Track names in gray are speculated tracks;
those in black will be probably included, at the moment unconfirmed GT5 tracks;
those in blue are confirmed tracks;
those in dark red are GT PSP tracks which are supposed to be included in GT5
those in green are tracks from GT4 (not many as most of them are in GT PSP).

- I counted physically different layouts as separate "variations". This excludes reverse tracks for original GT circuits/tracks.
- There are 14 different "locations" (countries), but counting Tahiti and Monaco as locations of their own, that would be 16 locations. This is excluding Photo mode locations.
- Speculated tracks are those derived from weather forecast map screenshots that have been circulating on the net since a good while.
- I haven't included the Nurburgring GP and Nurburgring GP+Nordschleife layouts, which are pure speculation at the moment although their inclusion is very likely to happen.

My conclusion is that the "over 20 locations and 70 variations" we've been reading everywhere is a realistic figure. We just have not been provided the number of unique tracks.

Give up on the prediction, (though I applaud that little diagram you got).

There's just so much we do not yet know that it's not worth additional effort on our part. It's their job.

Your asumimg all of the Gt4 tracks will be back, not very likely...

One of the several (though not many) confirmed and sourced bits of information (I'm aware it doesn't add much to my credibility, but that all tracks from GT4/PSP will be added in GT5 is being quoted every time on the "sourced fact list" for every "official" GT5 thread on 2ch, a popular japanese message board) was that all tracks from GT4 (all tracks except two from GTPSP are already from GT4) would be included in GT5. Besides, with only 20 tracks as rumored since not much time ago, it would be impossible to come up with 70 different variations.

If you take out the tracks in gray there's still room for the "missing" WRC rally tracks and other likely possible variations which would be within the "over 70 variations, 20 locations" figure.

I personally think most of the rally style tracks from GT4 will be canned. They were terrible!

They are good for dirt driving practice, but not for Rallying, they are circuits where the roads are much too wide.

We need WRC (evolution studios) style stages. With pacenotes and the works, proper...

Full Nurburgring Layout..... :bowdown:, it was "expected", since the old nurburgring cannot support 16 cars at once in the pits. ;)

There's a downside too, we'll probably see the full Nurburgring at the E3 video. Minus one surprise to see.

Yes- but that also means the 16 car grid would seem a bit paltry on the full 25km course. Hopefully GT6 will support over 100 cars if it's on the next-gen console. But I'm not going to complain either way- give me the full 25k course, perhaps some rain and sunset (although neither are quite necessary) and a BMW M3 GT2 or the Zakspeed Viper GTS and I'll be happy.

I think i'm more excited to see the outfield details improved than getting the GP track. It'll be awesome to use the full track for the 24hrs, but if there was one thing I loved about Forza's Ring, it was that driving through the campgrounds felt like more of an experience than GT4's boring scenery. Huzzah!

So does anyone else think there will be 2 24hour Nurburgring races like they did with Le Mans in GT4?

1 with the GP course, 1 without.

I hope in GT5 there're two versions- the "boring" one for everyday time-trial/attack session and the one with the 24hr of Nurburgring campground atmosphere. For most days, the track is as it is in GT4- quite empty and desolate. I would hate to have a constant party atmosphere like it is in FM3 and SHIFT.

Ok, so that makes 3 variations:

-Nordschleife
-GP
-Nordschleife+GP

There are (IRL) 2 variations of the GP Strecke: a longer and a shorter one. I believe that in the 24 hour race it is the shorter one that it's used.

This shorter version has a 180º turn connecting the RTL straight to (almost) the Kumho-Kurve, bypassing the Ford-kurve, Dunlop-kurve and Michael Schumacher's Esses.

Both these layouts have two layouts for cars, one without and one with the Mercedes Arena. The 24h track doesn't use the Mercedes Arena so I suppose we'll see these all included. To make it all complete the 24h track doesn't used the chicane most cars use but instead an older chicane used today mostly by motorcycles. Basicaly this means that there are 2 basic layouts of the new track which can use 2 first sections and 2 chicanes and can all use the Nordschleife. that makes 2x2x2x2=16 versions of the GP and sprint tracks. Add the Nordschleife and the Mülenbachschleife and we end up with 18 potential variations.

Oh, in the '80s Fuji was different from the '90s: the first corner had a larger radius and was connected to the banking. Realy PD didn't do anything of data gathering.

And having seen the pictures on the front page I know we'll atleast get the longest possible variation which is even longer than the 24h variation. We can see an SLS driving on the Mercedes Arena and the grandstands at the Dunlup Kehre. Two extra variations at the very leas that are confirmed.

What do you mean? They drive the whole GP track in the 24h version (unlike in the VLN series, where they only drive the sprint version of the GP track).

EDIT: You are right with the Mercedes arena though, but just because we see pics of cars there doesn't mean we will get that as an extra. I'm pretty sure we will see 3 variations. The GP track, the Nordschleife and both combined.

Great list and nice work.

So about 15 tracks/locations so far.. 5 more to come 👍 .
20 is just perfect, so many variations of each.
I don't see you included the 2 more variations of the Nur-ring.. its not a speculation, its already confirmed by SONY on SONY BLOG, as well Gran Turismo Website.
