Unfortunately, no. I feel like an idiot now.

Don't. After reading the praises people gave GT3 for months I finally gave in and decided to buy it a few weeks back. I had it years ago but gave it away. So for 4 months I was riled up about it and couldn't stand it any longer. Right before leaving my house for gamestop I looked at my game pile. Imagine my surprise that GT3 was there. I remembered I bought it last summer when I was at EBgames and saw it in the $5 pile along with TXRD3. I felt like an idiot.

Wow, i seem to be completely confused....i could a swore it was in GT4...ugh i hate my memory some times >_>

perhaps i did play gt3 more than i thought...weird...i have very few memories of that game O_o

which might be due to getting mixed up in GT4 or some thing...

At least Complex String made a lasting impression it seems.;)

woa, wikipedia is making some pretty bold claims to the tracks in GT5.

"Rally Japan" apparently had a source at one time O_o

Not to mention that a rally is generally made of 10 point-to point stages (often raced twice each), with each point-to-point stage being about 20 km long on average. Heck, even WRC games do not feature realisticly long stages.

Bottomline, I'm quite puzzled at the wikipedia tracklist for GT5. How doesn't that get moded? [reference needed]

indeed, theres no way to tell if someone really knew, or are just screwing with us...

the tracks aren't humorous they kinda make sense, the only confliction is the 'possibility' of SSR11 which the example may be SSR5.

I'm particularly interested in pikes peak from gran turismo 2, i'd love to see it updated if its true :D

And yeah you right, it'd be pretty awesome if gran turismo was more like v-rally 2 on ps1, which had pretty long one way tracks which had you driving (in sections/days) for a total of 30mins if i remember right with damage calculation (down to what part like 'dirt') and a guy telling you turns as well as people in the middle of the road taking pictures and running :P. It was so insanely realistic for its time, didn't look as good as gran turismo 2, but the rally was way more realistic (as it was the core of the game)

I believe there have been a couple GT5 rally cars with the "Rally Japan" logo on them just like some cars in GT4 had the Grand Canyon and Tahiti logos on them. This is why Rally Japan is assumed to be in GT5. But, if all those are true, it'd be cool to see some REAL rally courses in.

Ah that makes pretty good sense...

SlipZtrEm, its your opinion, ok?
second, there is none vids or news about a car list of gt5, if you were smart and a REAL fan of GT, you probably you did it yourself, you jealous.

Ignore this if it has allready been said by someone else but.

How many urban tracks are there in monaco except the f1 track????

they use a shorter version of the gp track for rallying as the special stage. This version connect the first corner (sainte devote) with turn #12 (Tabec). It basically skips everything from Beau Rivage and casino to the chicane and tunnel.

To whomever mentioned Pikes Peak recently, considering we've got the 24H Nurburgring configuration, I imagine they could actually include the entire PPIHC course instead of the shortened, modified GT2 version. It'd be nice to see point-to-point races return, especially considering WRC cars.

Who wouldn't want to do this?
