Yep, the stone walls on that pic doesn't look anything like the ones in Eiger, but I'm still waiting for a clearer proof.

Ahh well spotted with the Grindewald thing. I new it wasn't Eiger Nordwand but I thought it was Deep Forest but nonetheless. Also this is a nightmare this whole 20 locations thing because even the Gran Turismo official website leads you into a brick wall as it says quote "Over 1,000 cars and 20 tracks, each with 70 variations, await you and your rivals."

Then as you scroll down the page it then says "- 20 locations with over 70 variations" under the "Major Specs as of June 2010" section. So that leaves mass confusion over how they define a location, a variation, and a track.

To be honest I think in my opinion they think it's rather funny that they know it's confusing. Because saying "20 tracks each with 70 variations" makes it sound like each one of those 20 tracks has 70 variations or variants. confused? I am. So obviously there be only 20 tracks but what do they define as a variation? Because I'm quite sure there aint 70 variations of Fuji or Suzuka for example.

yeah and even then 20 tracks with 70 variations WTF, that means every track would have to have 2-3 variations. :boggled:

Nurburgring
Nurburgring + F1 track
F1 track
F1 track short

Just 4 variations with just one track. Same goes for Monza (short + long) and Suzuka (essses + long) and many many other tracks.

What could the 20 countries be? I can't even think of 20 countries with race tracks (that have been featured in GT before. Assuming that all the old real world circuits are returning lol.) There's the US, UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Japan, Italy, Spain,...I'm stuck.

I don`t think there`s gonna be tracks from 20 different countries, maybe 10 tracks from the real world, and then about 10 from the Polyphony world, all of these with at least 3 different variations each.

The fictional tracks like Grand Valley and Deep Forest. ;)

^ You might want to add...

18. Oceania (Australia & New Zealand)
19. Polyphonyland (GT original courses ;) )
20. Canada

:sly:

👍 Agree
India, Netherlands

The Netherlands would be nice ( speaking purely objective ofcourse ;)) but which track? Zandvoort ( perhaps the most obvious one ) or Assen ( with a possible future TT2 in mind ) or a city track perhaps? :)

Hahaha, I was just gonna post something like that. If I recall, there is somewhere around more then 100 themselves in real life so there is plenty.

Red Light District anyone? :sly:

If they're using Canada as one of their locations I think the Banff area of Alberta and/or the B.C. rockies would be a good idea. Also, there's a road in British Columbia that was recommended, I dunno what it's called. :(

Sorry, I can't read, I thought someone forgot Korea. When GT4 came out Hong Kong technically was not part of China at the time.

The Sea-to-sky highway?

Yeah, if they could put even something a fraction of the length of that, I'd be happy. 👍
