kinda hoping for more
There will be. PD just haven't announced them yet. They're doing their usual thing and unearthing a little bit at a time. You can't expect them to give us everything at once, because a) we wouldn't know where to begin, and b) then there wouldn't be anything left for us to discover on our own.

I have a question if someone can explain to me please ?

I saw in that list the name Grindelwald and Kleine Scheideg and looks the same track

look at this link from youtube that you see the track Grindelwald

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_K-oqF53fVs&feature=player_embedded

and see the houses are very similar to the video, but yey i could be wrong

Kleine-Scheidegg-Eiger.jpg

And another thing this 4 tracks to me are the same but with another views

Eiger Nordwand
Gornergratbahn
Grindelwald
Kleine Scheideg

if you go to search about them you will see that they are the same, it looks like
and sorry if my english isn't good

Grindelwald is a small town downhill not too far from Kleine Scheidegg, where the "Eiger Nordwand" track of GT5P is located (on fictional roads, but the scenery and buildings are real. You might recognize the small railroad station if you check images on the internet).

I suspect that the Grindelwald name on the list might be long version of Eiger Nordwand that we haven't seen yet. This is of course speculation, but not too far-fetched.

Thanx Shirakawa Akira 👍

If they're using Canada as one of their locations I think the Banff area of Alberta and/or the B.C. rockies would be a good idea. Also, there's a road in British Columbia that was recommended, I dunno what it's called. :(

Whistler Ice Race, thats the only Canadian location in GT4.

-> I just do hope the Grindelwald that we all remember and love in GT2 returns. I don't care if it does not replicate the town itself (if there is a dispute, just change the name of the said town!). :nervous:

-> But I would be very dissapointed if its going to be a (useless IMO) photo travel location. I want to drive Grindelwald not take photos dammit! :grumpy:

Was that ever confirmed as actually being in Whistler or was it just an assumption?

If Canada gets any tracks, I'd assume it'd be Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Mosport, or Mont-Tremblant. Hamilton would actually make a really interesting street course being built on an escarpment (hello 220m+ altitude variation), and if we would've been getting a more robust actual track creator, I probably would've tried to map one out.

Never heard off those tracks to be honest.

Well, they're pretty well known, one being a former Grand Prix circuit which is still being used for other forms of motorsport and the other is a world famous motorcycle track still on the MotoGP and Superbike calendar.

The Sea to Sky Highway, or at least part of it, would be interesting. Passing by Squamish and 'The Chief'....perhaps.

Actually, Vancouver itself would make a great location. They did, after all, hold Champ Car races there.

If they have indeed visited Whistler for inspiration for the Ice Arena, this isn't completely out of the question. Perhaps BC could be a location for the track maker, complete with grizzlies, big foot and mountain passes?

I just hope Seattle makes a return and we get Spa or some other current GP circuits. I can do without the newer ones like Valencia or Korea or Bahrain. I'm looking forward to Midfield, Grand Valley, Deep Forest, Trial Mountain, Eiger, Seattle; things like that we know from previous GT games. And of course Monza is there, Nurb is in it. Spa would be awesome, the OLD Fuji with the super long straight would be good, as would the OLD Spa and OLD Monza with the banked turns.

Would be awesome if the old Fiat test track, on top of the roff of the old Fiat factory in Turin was in the game. Yes, a test track on top of a building, it was uesd in one of the Italian job movies I think.

Realistically we might see these 'old' tracks. The Monza circuit had the oval included in it. You never know. If they are included I just listed the one's that could make the game since the current circuit is there. Like Fuji and Monza.

Yeah and Montreal's got mountain in the middle of it so the neighbourhoods surrounding it would be good for like alotta ups and down n stuff. :D

They did it with Fuji 90's-80's when the new version was under construction.
Only because those layouts were still available to them to put into the game.

I wouldn't expect many classic circuits unless PD have a way of fully replicating them in the way they replicate current circuits.

Are you crazy? Have you seen our streets\roads\highways?? They are more suited to WRC cars!

It's one of the rare major cities where its actually beneficial to drive a big SUV, to absorb all those 2 foot deep potholes and cracks.

Any race car on these streets would crumble.

Oh man, that reminds me. The highway roads especially in Southern Quebec on the way to Montreal (and in the city) are just horrible. I went to the Canadian GP in June and it was just ridiculous once I got inside Quebec. I don't remember the regular roads in the city though since I haven't driven there (other than highway) in two years.

Yeah omfg dude I wish I could tell you the number of times one or all of my tires has met with a crater-sized pothole. This street near my place called St-Charles has really bad ones but the Trans Canada (the road I take to go to work and back again) is really rough. :ouch:
