You'll enjoy hood view. Available on all cars.

Are you 100% sure about this? On low height cars there seems to be a hood cam, but that's just because of the low position of the roof in comparison with it's hood. When you see people in the video's switching to every available viewpoint on a regular height car it's clear that there is no hood cam. I would LOVE a hood cam for the standard cars though.

That is a good point. If you had a hood cam on a rear engined car you would not be able to see very much... Unless to turned it the other way and drove in reverse :D

LOL! True but if the DeLorean had a hood view facing forward than it would be the only standard car w/cockpit view!

Although there is absolutely nothing visually seen or heard about in GT5, I have a hunch Texas Motor Speedway will be in it.

Kaz was seen in that one NASCAR trailer from last year at an actual NASCAR race, camera crew, etc. I know that doesn't mean much and he could have been taking info on the cars, but it makes sense to add a track like Texas.

For those that are informed about oval racing, Texas is a 1.5 mile "cookie cutter" tri-oval track. It would be a great addition for another NASCAR track, AND Kazunori Yamauchi & Co. visited there, so why wouldn't it be a theorized addition to what we may see.

I agree. Again, I also feel that a few more ovals representative of NASCAR are going to be added too, like Talladega or Bristol just to mention some of the very popular ones.

I too think not all ovals have been exposed yet. Texas would be one of the likely additions. Talladega wouldn't be very likely being so closely designed to Daytona and Bristol is only an oval and a 'strip. If PD has decided to include a shorttrack I think a track like New Hampshire is more likely being a mile oval with many possible roadcourse variants and even an outfield portion. However this is all speculation and we'll only know this with certainty next november.

If their is the inclusion of another NASCAR track, I would think PD approach would be to get the most bang for a buck. Roval Tracks such as Texas, California, Phoenix, Homestead Miami Speedway, etc., have inner road courses that gives them more versatility within GT. Watkins Glen & Circuit Gilles Villeneuve could also be candidates. :)

The track which offers 3 or 4 variants would be Pocono which is a "triangle" shaped oval. The Glen is a classic course but Montreal only has one real variant so it might be overlooked.

I'm glad to finally see a full video of the updated version of Circuit De La Sarthe. (On the news page)

The one we saw at the Le Mans 24 hour with the Peugeot 908 race car was clearly just a ported version of GT4s track. This one is the updated 2009 spec track.

Again, I feel this is an indication that certain tracks from GT4 will be added to GT5 as 'standard' tracks. If they could pass off the GT4 versions of Nurburgring Nordschleife and La Sarthe as GT5 tracks like they have done in the past couple of years, I don't see why they can't do the same with other tracks.

No, it wasn't... Go back and rewatch it. It's the same track with the same quality, just like the E3 build too. The GT4 port was last seen in early 2009.

Ah... You are right. I got it mixed up with the E3 demo. But I was wrong about that one too. The reason I thought it was the old one was this:

But looking at the other parts of the track, it's actually the updated version, so I was wrong.

However, looking at the latest video, you don't notice it in gameplay. Perhaps they smoothed it out, I don't know. But GT4 had the same jagged edges there.

Not to mention the fact that a slight imperfection such as this has absolutely no effect on the game what so ever (Unless you like taking photos of cars on-track, this could ruin your shot). And yes I have checked, the gravel there is smoothed around the edges in real life.

The greatest thing about that video is Roger and Xavier. They keep switching places. :) Looks like the AI may have stepped up its game.

I believe Texas would be a good candidate, I think NASCAR fans would be a little disappointed if only Daytona and Indy are the only ovals. I suspect that the oval at Twin Ring Motegi is another. We allready most certainly know that Sonoma is another NASCAR-track that is in the game, hopefully watkins Glen too. I saw the video with NASCARs at Monza, but something didn`t feel right about that. Big shouty american stock cars, at a classic track in Ferrari-territory, hmm, not sure about that:)

what tracks having ,, grand tourismo4 tracks,?? new ones or same.???

Google translator could do a better job. Please George try harder, my eyes hurt....
If you want to know what tracks are confirmed so far please check page #1 of this thread.

Well for the past three years, the Canadians sure love them ;)

I still don't understand why no Original Circuits have been shown. To me, a (full) GT game without Midfield (GT1's an exception for this), Trial Mountain, Deep Forest and especially Grand Valley is just empty for me.

I agree but they have already shown us High Speed Ring and Eiger Nordwand.

Defenitely agree. Especially about Grand Valley.

The Grand Valley 300 endurance race is basically traditional since it has appeared in all 4 GTs, and I will looking forward to doing it in GT5. It would really blow if this race, or even this track doesn't make it.
