James Bond- Moby

This tune would be good because it's so powerful!
The James Bond Remix in GT5?

I'm sorry, I'll say that again ...

The James Bond Remix in GT5?

"Powerful" it may be (personally, I'm not seeing it) and as muchas I enjoy the fiilms, PD are making a racing car game. Not James Bond.

I want them to include stuff that doesn't suck.

How about this - they nearly included all the tracks from all GTs previous - why not actually include ALL the tracks from all GTs previous? And all the cars ... and ALL THE MUSIC from all the GTs previous? I mean, they're doing it in some kind of high quality compressed format (Mp3 / Ogg / etc) and they've got a ton of space. They could put over 250 songs in 1GB of space. And these new blue-ray disks are going to have all kinds of storage space. So why not have about a thousand songs? And downloadable? And be able to put your own on there too? It's going to have a hard drive and network connectivity.

Your own music people's. Come on.

I would MUCH rather have them concentrate on stuff that really matters for the game, than creating something iTunes-like. Just give us the freedom to put our own music as the soundtrack, and we'll be fine :)

Then again, I usually turn racing BGM off anyway. V8's for me :sly:

Megadeth, Megadeth, Megadeth. 👍👍👍
And the song is High speed dirt (while driving on High speed ring :D )

Ooh, I know a song that'd be great in GT5!

Le Disko by Shiny Toy Guns. It's awesome.

For the Playlist based on me listening to them while Playing GT4:
Apollo Four Fourty - Raw Power
Junkie XL - Billy Club
Junkie XL - Future In Computer Hell
BT - Never Gonna Come Back Down
JJ Flores & Steve Smooth - The Ride
Tiesto - Traffic
Outkast - Ghetto Music (Benny Benassi remix)
Ferry Corsten - Punk
Ferry Corsten - Watch Out
DJ Mehdi - Signatune (Thomas Bangalter Edit)
DJ Icey - A Little Louder
Burufunk - Welcome to the real world

All these have a Good Beat that compliments the racing

Possible choices for the intro based on two videos seen on Youtube and me dubbing the GT4 intro:
BT - Godspeed
Ferry Corsten - Fire
Junkie XL - Today
Kuffman & Plant - Where are the ones we used to love(Dogzilla Remix)

These really would be cool

Possible choices for the outro based on me dubbing the GT4 outro:
BT - Godspeed(Hybrid Remix)
BT - Running Down The Way Up
Junior Jack - Rocktron
Eric Prydz Featuring Pryda - Shadows

since gt5 will have a lot better engine sounds, i will turn off the music. only during replays ill turn it on. so it does not really matter to me.. but i would love to see some classical music, ( not the crappy classical themes they had in GT4 with stupid sounded instruments) and some TECHNO trance :) haha

1. Simple Man-Lynard Skyard

2.City-Lo-Fi-FNK

and something with Yuzo Koshiro and of course Daiki Kasho.

Waddya Guys think?💡

Well, I'd begin with a possibility to use music from the hard drive. [/thread]

Seriously though, as long as they go with the old formula of basic rock flavoured by other genres they'll do fine. Feeder will always be "GT music" for me until the end of my days, it sums up the music in the series quite well.

you can listen to music while playing?..if so, how?. I thought you couldn't..

Born to be Wild - Steppenwolf, Dont Stop Me Now - Queen, any Deep Purple song, Radar Love - Goldern Earring etc.
The usual hard rock driving songs basically.

Custom soundtracks are apparently already done for the PS3, its just that Sony allegedly doesnt want to activate it yet through the firmware. I heard its in the works at least.

I hate alternative rock, so the current GT4 soundtrack irritates me. Here are some much better driving songs, some of which I'm already using in GTR2:

Aerosmith - Train Kept A-Rollin'
Arcturus - White Noise Monster
Black Sabbath - Lady Evil
Black Sabbath - Turn Up the Night
Bruce Dickinson - King in Crimson (this song would be AWESOME for an opening movie featuring a Ferrari--"The king in crimson comes!")
Dream Theater - A Fortune in Lies
Dream Theater - Just Let Me Breathe
Fates Warning - Anarchy Divine
Heathen - Opiate of the Masses
I - The Storm I Ride
Iron Maiden - Aces High
Iron Maiden - Flash of the Blade
Iron Maiden - Wildest Dreams
Judas Priest - Exciter
Judas Priest - Running Wild
Judas Priest - Tyrant
Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song
Megadeth - Hangar 18
Metallica - Hit the Lights
Metallica - Trapped Under Ice
Overkill - Powersurge
Rush - Far Cry
Rush - One Little Victory
Rush - Red Barchetta (speaking of songs for an opening scene with a Ferrari...)
Savatage - Legions
Symphony X - Witching Hour
Voivod - The Getaway

Heavy metal and fast cars -- born to go together.

funny, I don't hear a DROP of "alt" in the GT4 ST. I toss all the rap crap, but leave the Motown mixes, Daiki Kasho, and the personal theme for the games.

Woolie: too much hair band music will only make people over forty buy it, just to headbang to (because by the time GT5 comes out officially, that stuff will be Muzak!) and that isn't an opinion, I believe I really WILL be forty when it's completed to satisfaction :P

I say, break the monotony with a little Surf-era fun as well, for the 60's cars, like the Beach Boys, or an instrumental i heard called "rebel Rouser"

Are you playing the same version of GT4 I am? Because this copy has Papa Roach, Deepsky, Less than Jake, and Jimmy Eat World on it.

Hey, now, most of that stuff isn't remotely "hair band" music (except maybe "Running Wild"). There's a big difference between hair metal and real metal.:)

Speaking of hair metal, at least it makes the radio almost tolerable at the moment now that they're playing all these old hair metal songs. Unfortunately, the grunge generation is going to turn 40 soon and Nirvana is going to start polluting the airwaves all over again.:nervous:

Most people don't care for music simply because the music from the cars' engines as well as everything else around makes up the soundtrack gamers want to listen to. Is it okay to not say you want music of a certain kind? Sure. I'm going to assume that you can put certain media formats on your PS3 and be able to use them as your soundtrack for GT5.

As far as my own personal preferences go, I've always been fond of electronica. I'm mostly a fan of late 1990s electronica like Prodigy's "Firestarter" and Fluke's "Atom Bomb" (two classics). * While I'm in the vast minority on this, I've grown up with and like hip-hop. I'm not all into any musical culture. For some reason, I tend to find something cool about upbeat hip-hop and rally racing. This even includes old school Ice Cube or something. * Why would I care for jazzy songs? Well, I actually like jazz (mostly smooth jazz, but also a fan of Miles Davis), rhythm and blues, and even light pop (just not "wuss rock"). * And speaking of rock music, I don't mind it; I'm just not really a rock music person. I DID enjoy listening to "Panama" in GT4 by Van Halen. Only modern rock group I've been into was Breaking Benjamin that I heard from the NASCAR 07 soundtrack. * Listening to the classical music adds a lovely touch to Photo Mode and looking at screenshots (who wants to listen to trashy rock when viewing beautiful cars and race photos?). However, the music can also make some races pretty interesting. I've loved when classical music was played during some of the vintage races I competed in GT4. Just a certain magic to classic sports cars and classical music.

Gran Turismo 5 should still offer a great variety of music to listen to for those who don't have lots of MP3s on a hard drive. You can listen to your own material or enjoy what PD offers for your listening pleasure. Only recommendation is that they simply avoid putting in uninteresting music (like when you buy an MP3 player or something and get some generic songs to start your collection). I don't really have exact songs I wouldn't mind seeing in GT5. I've been mostly general rather than specific with this topic.

Feeder will always be "GT music" for me until the end of my days, it sums up the music in the series quite well.

I agree. GT3 introduced me to Feeder and I've been a huge fan ever since. Hopefully some of their tracks appear in GT5 or PD implements custom soundtracks.

None!

I hate music when I have to concentrate on the driving.

IRL, I don't play music (maybe once in a while) while I'm driving.
