:(

As soon as I get enough credits to buy one I'll post the video. Have no idea how long it will take, I believe the Vette costs 8,500,000 credits and the few races I've done pay like one tenth that, but should have tonight.

Got it yet :)? This, and for the japanese man to mail me the PSN ticket code, are the only things I'm waiting for in my life right now it's so sad :nervous:

any races that you can set your # of laps? if not, whats the biggest race in game? (in laps)

There is a 'Active Brake' option that can be shut off (see translation thread for details). Though it could be a brake type yaw assist, or maybe abs? I don't know sadly my copy is still in transit

You are correct, it works when you are using the front brakes and turning at the same time, and tries to quell understeer.

EDIT: Put different description in. Time to see how effective this is....

No, at least not what I can find. There are three levels C, B, and A, I've got all golds in C and B and 6 races left in A. The longest race I've seen so far is 6 laps at Daytona. Maybe in Arcade mode you can pick number of laps but I haven't spent more then 5 minutes there so far. There are 5 courses in Arcade plus 5 more either in Reverse or a variation of the course.
I'm sorta taking it a bit slow so I don't finish in 2 days, Started yesterday afternoon and am 70% complete already, about 4 -5 hours in the seat. Have run several races many times to get credits to buy the cars needed for each race. Have 9 cars so far the fastest being the Audi R8 which I bought to complete level B.

brilliant looking screenshots, and it's good to hear that the tire noises are improved. bummer about the tame physics though...

I hope konami makes another Enthusia for PS3. That game had great physics. Or if Simbin would release a sequel to GTL.

I don't know why PD doesnt do tiered realism levels. It would make everyone happy. People who dont know how to drive could jump in and have fun. People that like being challenged and enjoy a proper sim could get theirs too. Forza had a decent system for that, though far from perfect. I think it has a huge amount to do with the tire physics and weight transfer.

Hey is there an English laguage in the game options somewhere??? I heard that there is and that there isn't. Can someone with the disk version confirm 100% on this???
Thanks

Can't wait to get my copy...

so far i havent play the GT5P but ive seen drift video, and it looks super realistic, the angles approach and breaking points :) so im guessing physics got improved. even if GT5 comes out with same physics as this one, they can always be patched up :) so no worries

Uh, another EPR..? Are you serious? That game was most ridiculous attempt of making cash after EA began making NFSU-series.. and far from realistic.

Nothing I see in options that has an English option, although everywhere in the game there is some English so it's not real difficult to navigate. And there are a few threads here at GTP that show translations and they will translate any screenshot you post. I've been spending some time there:) Just go to the GT5 Prologue forum.

did you play it? with a DFP? with assists off? do you know what you are talking about?

i doubt it. the game resembled NFSU about as much as live for speed does. it got terrible reviews because the game progression and menus were designed to turn people into murderers, and because the physics were too unforgiving for joe shmoes.

and it was WAY more realistic than anything else on PS2, including GT4.

another question:

hows the tire wear? another plagued problem from GT4

did not play the game, but i have the same question, judging from videos, i dont see tire wear, so ur prob stuck with good tires all the time.

no tyre wear. the races are too short up to now to use it anyway. though id love if s class has an enduro once i finish A class.

its because i restarted the game again and its how far ive gotten through them the first and 2nd time

ye i agree. But GT5 should be good enough when it lands (including on going patches as mentioned by someone b4) and going by that youtube vid of the 350z drifting, GT5 p seems to look like its got its act together.P.S dont worry about the people who rubbish EPR......they just dont know any better!

Kamus, thanks for the review....the throttle imput thing you spoke about was much appreciated and it seems all in all that GT5p has more good than bad. Can't wait to play it my self.

Is the Logitech G25 Racing Wheel compatible with Prologue and Gran Turismo 5?

Yes in GT5P, even the clutch and H gated shifter works (the clutch becomes active after pressing triangle)

and we can only assume it will be fully supported in full GT5 release.

Is it me or is the london track a little too dark.

seems to be noticeably darker using the "in car" view..... swap to bumper cam and suddenly it is brighter.... clearer and generally smoother too :)

but i love both views...... just wish i had a camera to record some laps with the corvetter and mustang..... the v8 sounds so much better now!! and they are both lots of fun for powersliding because they seemed to have improved the physics now and made it more natural to hold a slide without over-correcting even when u "DONT" over-correct :)

regarding the AI, it doesnt seem to have gotten any better from the videos I have seen. Granted the people over at IGN are the worst drivers in the world, but there are numerous occasions when the AI passes around the driver and just rams into the back of the car for no reason. Also, they are still glued to the ground like tanks! They do not budge, the crash physics are still off pertaining to the AI at least. This really bugs me and is one area that i really hope PD will remedy before the actual release of GT5.

I'm going to be buying a PS3 and Logitech G25 and I was wondering how high the biting point is on the clutch? I'm guessing it doesn't vary with different vehicles.
