Thanks man. We can use threads like these after the delay. đź‘Ť

The headtracking calibration looks very interesting. I'm not sure though if I will use it, as with standard cars not having cockpit view. I will probably stick to one camera view.

I was very pleased to see the amount of options for calibrating the head tracking, means I'll definitely be picking up the move starter pack by Xmas time to get the camera for this. From what we had seen so far it looked very clunky in operation, but with all these options hopefully it will allow for a much smoother operation and I really hope it will allow a degree of vertical movement as well. I think it could really add to the immersion and also the sheer playability of the cockpit view if it works as well as other games that utilise the feature (not that I'd ever played any games with headtracking buut obviously seen and heard good things).

Hopefully they can track your head in 3D space and can transpose that into the cockpit view, nothing drastic, but if subtley implemented it could really bring the cockpit view to life and really help give you a feel for how the car is handling, as well as of course be of great benefit when racing, letting you see exactly where an opponent is in relation to you and most importantly gaining a greater view into corners.

I for one am excited, thanks for bringing us that little clip of hope in what's been some pretty harsh times for us GT fans in the last day or so! :)

Some sunshine coming through the clouds of gloom, after the delay. The game will be worth the wait! Many thanks Blitz :)

I think that some cars (premiums) will have body kits or racing modification (like GT2). GTAUTO will be the shop for every modification (auto parts, oil change, paint job, wheels, etc.) as we can see in the picture bellow. In the icons of the inferior part you can notice an icon with a transparent car showing some body parts (bumpers, wing, side skirts). next is an icon with a race modified car... I hope this!

Speaking about remote B-Spec, I wonder if we will be able to do A-Spec & B-Spec at the same time. A-Spec on PS3, Remote B-Spec on laptop. :sly:

Sorry to burst your bubble but you're like 1 month late :).

I'm dissappointed about the lack of HUD customization, I wanted to be able to use cockpit view without the HUD on...

This.

All my day-dreams of GT5 include driving in the cock-pit cam, using headtracking with no HUD.
We better be able to take off the HUD after a update or something, it's a pretty big deal with in comes to immersion I think.

Nice, I just really hope the saving during endurance races is in the game... and I mean REALLY HOPE!:nervous:

That would be sooooo sweet. I'd love to drive every lap myself. We wouldn't have to rely on pitting to change to b-spec and/or leaving the . The downside to b-spec is that the cpu looses so much ground compared to your own driving style. For example, driving 24hr Nurburgring with the Minolta Toyota, is a blast. Its a trill to see how many times you can lap other cars. I could lap the last car every 7-8 laps and the 2nd place car every 11-13 laps pitting after every second lap. The cpu would lap last place every 18-20 laps and 2nd place every 21-25 laps, pitting after 4-5 laps. Goes to show the cpu drives wayyy less aggressively.

So Blitz What do you like better? Head tracking or 3D?
Oh, and what were some of the 'what if' scenarios that were confirmed?

Hey Blitz, great article! Glad to see yours doesn't differ that much from mine, would've been strange as we attended the same event đź‘Ť Was nice to meet you, now I know the man behind some of the tunes that helped me get through GT5P S class!

Now I'm here anyway, I'll take the liberty to add to your information and to refer to the GT5 facts & features overview I took from the presentation, and how I experienced the feel of the demo build there.

Thanks for sharing your news, Blitz! đź‘Ť

I'm still curious about any data GT5 will provide for helping us to setup the cars. Probably it will be limited to the amount of data we saw in GT4. Too bad! :(

I would love to see a small data logger and some analysis screens in the game, especially after the announcement of this GPS System earlier this year.

Sorry if this may have been asked, I'm one of the few that don't get to read all these posts.
If all cars from GTpsp and GT5p (Dont know if this one is confirmed) are tranferred into GT5, will it ONLY be playable in arcade mode...?
With that being said, what happens to the credits...?

Ok thanks, so obviously the credits are also scrapped.
Cool, so no head start for anyone, it's a great decision.

Transfer car from GT-PSP... but what about GT5-P? Yes i supposed! could someone confirm please?

You said we can transfer cars from Gt5PSP,will we be able to transfer for GT5p as well?

In the presentation it was only confirmed that GT PSP cars are transferable. GT5:P was not mentioned. Specifically said Crosstalk feature for GT PSP. So I do not know if GT5:P will tranfser. If history is anything to go by then I assume GT5:P cars will also tranfer.

I wonder how the mobile device feature will work...hopefully it's free and works on a Samsung Galaxy 2.

The B-Spec remote will work web based. So you can log in to your GT5 data from a PC anywhere in the world or your mobile device of course.

Speaking about remote B-Spec, I wonder if we will be able to do A-Spec & B-Spec at the same time. A-Spec on PS3, Remote B-Spec on laptop. :sly:

 I have no answer for this, we'll have to wait and see.

Oh, and what were some of the 'what if' scenarios that were confirmed?

3D was nice, but imo it was not a level yet which made me go, WOW I need 3D NOW! It also takes some getting use to and I imagine that long term play will get uncomfortable at a certain point. 3D glasses are quite big and heavy I might add...

The head tracking I saw briefly, but from what I saw this will be a nice feature once configured properly. The screen actually moves as if it were your head. So you can move up, down, left and right or look out the window to look in your mirrors and such. Very cool in my opinion, but if you combine the two you really have an immersive experience. Because in 3D the steering wheel sort of floats in front of the screen and there's a lot of depth of field. With head tracking added you can really look around your cockpit. I did not get to see 3D + head tracking in action together, but I saw them separate and I can definitely say that combining the two will make GT5 really stand out.

- Edit: For the What If?... Scenarios they only confirmed the Red Bull X1 scenario. What if they were no rules and regulations for racing cars?

Thanks for sharing your news, Blitz! đź‘Ť

Details about tuning were not covered in the presentation :(

Answered in top of post :) For credits I dont know what happens, this information was not given. And yes they will only be playable in Arcade so for GT mode you'll have to earn cars.

Great review blits but one question. When you said that psp cars are transfered to arcade mode, what about career? Oh and shame about car delivery

They will not transfer to your career only arcade mode. In GT mode you will have to earn your cars.

Man that's a really nice article. Thanks so much Blitz !

One question though : about B-Spec mode, did the guy from Sony tell you if we will be able to actually interact with the race (give orders to the driver) from a browser, or just be a spectator ?

You can actually play, according to the sony Rep. So you can actually give out commands and such and do races with other people in B-Spec mode online. So basically you can now enjoy GT everywhere... :)
