787B sounds just like it did in GT4 warbly and with only a passing nod to the real thing.....I'm very depressed now.

edit: Is this the standard or premium 787B? I believe both are in the game?

That phone recording doesn't sound like what I heard on the live feed :)
Much details are lost and it's premium

The lack of pops, bangs and crackles is weird, as you can see the flames from the exhaust but not hear it :/

They improved the sound of the 512BB (awesome sound by the way) but they couldn't change the one of the F430??? What should I expect from the F40 and 458 Italia?

Man, if they got rid of the zing on the top end the M3 sound would be nice - it's much improved from the Prologue version, but the lack of long samples on the top end ruins it. The low end sounds good though, and transitions from gear shifts, reversing etc sound realistic. They're getting there slowly but surely. Need more ram I guess, with all the other stuff they're doing now

Some direct capture sounds - It's the Modded G37 Infinity from SEMA
Sounds much better than the same cars on the Taxigamer stream BTW

Man London looks much better than in Prologue!

I know it's an awful quality video, but I think the drive-by sound effects sound great - something in that pack of beasts sounds particulary awesome!

The amount of Epic cars in that video is staggering. From what I can hear it does sound improved.FIngers crossed for the 458.

458 "new" sound as clear as day, Skip to 0:44 Gives hope to what the F430 now sounds like in chase view. My guess is that PD has two different recordings, One for inside, and one for outside. note: back fire popping noise sounds good as well, nice and loud.

What's up with the collision sounds? They sound good in this clip, 3 hits with 3 different sounds, but the one above sounds like cannon shot?! :embarrassed:

I am so glad they fixed the sounds on the tiburon, Actually sounds like a decent V6 now in stead of 4 cylinder version sound on the V6 model in gt4, apparently PD did show standards cars some love in the sound department.

What on earth was that sound next to the Mercedes'? Was the honestly supposed to be the Ferrari's engine in the low revs?

I just hope the sound of vtec engaging is present, its always been lacking thus far in the gt series imo. In general the sounds have improved greatly from before though as shown by the murcielago video especially.

Hi there, thats my first Post an i got something good for ya.

Quality isn´t that good, cause i filmed with my mobile phone cam.

Tuned up exotics on the ring - R8 V10 etc. The XJ220 sounds better than in GT

AEM S2000 drifting - Skid marks appear to stay from the previous lap

Bunch of standards

So, that R8 v10 has the exact same, unbearable, shockingly awful engine sound as the Stealth McLaren F1. Yet another car I'll avoid, due to poor execution.

Yes, some cars are just miserably equiped with engine sound.

But this is finally new generation of sound - full, rich, yet very similar to real counterpart:

The F430 sounds different from Prologue, and the italia sounds similar to the F430, not the same but very similar. The enzo has that v12 touch, but the scream is missing.

Sounds of the GT40, GT40 LM Testcar and Corvette Stingray '69 really sound like V8s now. The Mines R34 did have an titanium exhaust installed in Prologue, thats why it sounds "cheaper" in the final build.

The r8 v10 sounds ingame like the real one, actually it sounds deeper than the Lambo gallardo.

I try to upload an V10 or V8 with titanium exhaust this evening or tomorrow.

@speedfreak
Sorry, the mobile cam is all i got. But maybe it helps a bit, if i turn the volume on my receiver a bit up.

So, could you record a few cars with stock exhausts and then with sport/titanium, so we can hear the difference?
+connect the audio via cable, not camera mic to tv please.

That R8 V10 most likely has a different exhaust on it, which sometimes unrealistically changes the engine sound of the car to something it may never sound like....just how it is in GT games. So if you're looking for the stock sound, that video is probably not a true representation.

458 sounds good to me.

http://www.taxigamer.com/

especially from 47secs onwards.

EDIT: Just moved the r8 v10 tuned and the Ferrari video to my ps3 and that high pitch whine you hear is gone on my 5.1 surround sound and instead you get a much better noise. I am so impressed the sound on the ferrari video, it was insane especially the 599 down shifting and the scenes when lots of cars past the camera WOW! And this is from a compressed 2.1 sound format so how good is the 5.1 true sound going to be like.

P.S. can't wait for tomorrow to hear so myself how good the sound is.
