What would the Petty family cars do to GT5? xD (very big smile here)
I wonder if Kaz knows the importance of the Petty name for the NASCAR world/fans?

I think that he does in a way. The 43 of A.J. Allmendinger made it into the game even though he's never won a sprint cup race and is overall a mediocre driver (That doesn't mean I don't like the 'dinger though, don't get me wrong!) so I assume that the 43 was included due to the number's heritage with Petty. I mean the car was even sponsored by a rival TV manufacturer so they must have REALLY wanted that car in the game.

the "playground" of the first video is the stelvio pass.

There are more videos and other proofs that there's a lot of content that was already made at the release of gt5, but somehow it isn't in the actual game.

Since it's a lot of content and also most probably they had licensing issues, it'll be available in gt6, in like 4 more years (or you could just install rfactor).

The FT-86 looks like it is on a different version of Eiger Nordwand (long track?), and the Nascar 09 season was probably because the video came out back then. When they hit 2010, they almost HAD to release the 2010 cars instead (change livery).

Is the pink flowers track at 1:00? If yes, thats probably Madrid.

There's a few photomode locations that were shown but never included in the game, such as a wind tunnel - there's a picture of it in the Photomode section of the Apex book. Also that mountain track in the FT86 trailer looks amazing, it's a shame it wasn't included in the game.

It's the 2005 version which was originally from GT4 and isn't used in any GT mode events.

I think it has more to do with the fact he's sponsored by Best Buy - perhaps they wanted the car in the game in exchange for promoting GT5 with their in-store demo last year.

After a quick view to the 1st vid, PD has at least 4 fully modded Nascars from some previous season ... I wonder why they just can't release them already...

More unreleased stuff, but to me the "pink flowers" track. What track?

Madrid without barriers...available for developers...not anyone else.

0:27 De la sarthe with empty background!!??
0:57 El capitan

Piazza Del Campo kart track
La Sarthe seems to be from a early build...possibly wasn't finished at that time...

And more trailer only content, the RedBull Airstrip is featured in almost every trailer...even the Spec II intro...you can see it in the background of RedBull's Hangar 7 and that's about it...never anywhere else in the game except the Vettel X Challenge Intro...
As for playable content the TopGear Test Track with weather change is playable in License Test IC-1..in a Drag Strip Variation...

I have taken some time to take a deep look at almost all released GT5 material (pictures and videos) and there's lots of stuff in that material that didn't make it to the final release, both tracks and cars.

Here is a video that shows the NASCAR Cars of the 2009 season:

I would love to play with those cars.

And here is a very nice track that didn't make it to the final game too:
This video show a playground (track) that isn't in the final game. I want it!!! xD

A nice video showing more "unreleased" GT5 stuff:

PS: I did a search and haven't found a topic about this NASCAR Cars or other unreleased stuff, if there is one delete this one and point me to the old one, thank you.

Why don't you post the links on Twitter and ask him??

80% of the cars are not "playable" in Photo travel. 80% of the cars cant have their wheels changed. There is quite a bit of "playable" stuff not in GT5.

We're not talking about that. Do you not understand the title? UNRELEASED playable stuff. Meaning things that were shown in promos, trailers, and such that never made it into the game.

We were all under the impression we would be able to bring every car to Photo Travel and change our wheels since we could do all of that in GT4. So that means it was UNRELEASED.

I thought we were informed by pd just before release that we were not able to change rims and take standard cars into photo locations.

We found out from members that got the game early. If you look on the cover there is nothing that indicates 80% of the cars cant have their wheels changed and cant be used in Photo Travel. Along with not having interior views (very generic interiors were added with with the 2.0 update). The only people that knew this were the people on the forums. Nothing else provided information indicating the issues with standard vs premium. Nothing. If you are a person not on the forums you would have no idea the premium standard problem until you actually played the game.

We're talking about PROMOS AND TRAILERS. GT4 has nothing to do with this.

Ever wondered why is the Eiger North Short called Short?...
;-)

I do recall Motegi Super Speedway in one of the early trailers, why was it removed from the game? We also saw GT500 and GT300 cars racing simultaneously too, possibly eluding to overall and class standing in a race.

Is that not the case with most games? I don't see every feature in a game on the box.

I see what your saying and they should be all of equal quality however that topic has been done to death.

Seriously CAMAROBOY, as ridiculous as that crap was for PD to pull, that has absolutely nothing to do with this topic.

Anyway, there was a Mini RM shown off in several photos (I think at Tokyo R246) before the game was released.

RE: The Mini RM ... if you've got a PAL copy look on the back cover ;)
