RE: The Mini RM ... if you've got a PAL copy look on the back cover ;)

No MINI RM to see on the back cover of my PAL copy... The picture in the middle is showing the back of Loeb's red C4 WRC, but that's it. Is the design of the casing identical between the retail version and the one that came with the PS3 bundle? The second one is the one I have.

But I remember that too, there was a whole video that featured it. It had that classic Monte Carlo paint scheme didn't it? How I'd love for it to be included...

I believer there is, I'll upload a picture when im home.

Seriously CAMAROBOY, as ridiculous as that crap was for PD to pull, that has absolutely nothing to do with this topic.

Anyway, there was a Mini RM shown off in several photos (I think at Tokyo R246) before the game was released.

This Mini...the official name was MINI Cooper S '07/Tuned...(Seen in SEMA Off-Screen Gameplay)

That MINI better be coming in one of the future DLCs. :D I'm pretty sure I've seen it in a video, but digging up those things is very difficult.

Just because there is unfamiliar track shown in a rendered video doesn't mean there is a playable track left out of the game. They could have easily created a very small section of track just for the rendered video. Perhaps it is no longer than a few hundred feet long, the backgrounds are not finished for angles unseen, the barriers are missing, etc.

Don't be a downer. Plus, it says "playable" stuff meaning that it doesn't really mean it could be playable. What's with some of you? READ THE TITLE!

Not that difficult. (MINI shows up at 0:50)

Every time I search for it I never find it. Curse my bad searching skills. :ouch:

The Enzo at El Capitan isn't GT5, it's GT PSP. The Enzo is standard, and GT PSP trailers were all at that quality. My guess is that PD suck it in for fun. Or out of laziness. Also, why would PD put a standard in a trailer? AS for the FT 86 track (the one that's like Eiger) the turns and elevation are too planned to be a course maker. So I reckon it is Eiger long.

In the first video, some of the bends from that track look familliar. I would say Eiger with redone scenery, but the tunnel may be a bit long for that...

In the second video, the pink flowers track appears to be Madrid.

I know there are some extra, unplayable Nurburgring versions in the game, I've seen them in demos. Why they weren't put into the game from release, or as DLC/Spec II, is beyond me.

I'm thinking the Swiss-looking road the FT-86 is driving on might be a DLC add-on Course Maker Location... And I would be quite pissed if this was the case. (to clarify: At not including it from release, not because it's Course Maker, I love Course Maker) But I'd still buy it anyways.

My mind once again played a trick on me... Had you asked me before, I would have sworn on everything I own that MINI shown in the trailers and pictures was red. Hence me mentioning the C4 WRC to brainfade.

So I decided to make clear list of all that missing stuff. Mekanaizer Add it to your first post if you want.
I'm sure it's not a full list, so if you have something to add tell me.

Notes:
All of the above were somehow connected to GT5. I'm listng stuff from GT5P missing in GT5, stuff from GT5 trailers and screens (for example El Capitan is from PSP but featured in Red Bull GT5 trailer), and stuff seen in game but not available to use freely.

First video
0:42 - I call those "fake courses". At 0:36 you have another one like this. Those are just some basic models and walls of textures made just like Kamakura location so I'm pretty sure it would look horrible in gameplay.

Second vid
1:01 - how the hell did you manage to tell it is London? :D But you might be right. Also I'm pretty confident we had a little bit more footage of London night in another clip.
1:17 - maybe SSR5 or another "fake course"

For me more interesting is 1:12. This looks like London/Madrid at sunset. Notice that lights are not only turned on (it means nothing, we have seen cars with lights on at TGTT in Spec 2 intro for example), but also they lit the road, and it's only possible at sunset and at night.

That thing has been discussed a very long time ago (when trailer were out): there is graffiti on road (I can't remember exactly), that exist at very same corner in London track.

About those "trailer showcase tracks" I agree, but who knows? It's PD. At least Kamakura were exist as photo-location, but that "track" not. What a waste of such beautiful work...

Really unsure that at 1:17 is SSR5. Who knows.

Ok I'll add London night to list tommorow. I'll also try to find out what track is at 1:12.

I have taken some time to take a deep look at almost all released GT5 material (pictures and videos) and there's lots of stuff in that material that didn't make it to the final release, both tracks and cars.

Here is a video that shows the NASCAR Cars of the 2009 season:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2uQ2ayvvWY
I would love to play with those cars.

And here is a very nice track that didn't make it to the final game too:
This video show a playground (track) that isn't in the final game. I want it!!! xD
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wI6ED6z9a-g

A nice video showing more "unreleased" GT5 stuff:
More unreleased stuff, but to me the "pink flowers" track. What track?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-GgLX9QOH0

PS: I did a search and haven't found a topic about this NASCAR Cars or other unreleased stuff, if there is one delete this one and point me to the old one, thank you.

The most baffling aspect of the Gran Turismo series is WHY would PD take all of this time and production value and then NOT put it in the final game. SERIOUSLY? From airplanes, to different lighting at Tsukuba, where is all of the stuff that makes the game whole?! Cars rolling out of trailers? Garages? Why is all of the dazzle and jazz left out of the final game?!

Same reason for any and all other games. They are trailers, but more like teasers. The purpose to make things look good and somewhat fool the consumers.
