I really do hope they'll release this theme at one point, could spend hours and hours driving on these roads alone, the scenery of the Tuscan theme is getting boring and looks dull compared to this.

The mountain road tracks would of been great fun, great for taking pictures too. Maybe dlc course maker themes in the future? I hope so.

Would also be great for some touge and drifting. Oh! I hope it'll come with night time. (That is, if it were to ever come)

My mind once again played a trick on me... Had you asked me before, I would have sworn on everything I own that MINI shown in the trailers and pictures was red. Hence me mentioning the C4 WRC to brainfade.

In the official screenshots it was Blue,in off screen gameplay it was either Red or White.
On the other hand there was a DOME S102 seen in a early prototype of Le Sarthe in GT5P

VIDEO
Correct me if I'm wrong, but nowhere in the video the car is actually visible? Only in the end in text, no confirmation at all.

About the course maker themes: The california track could be course maker, but it looks so repetitve, that I would say it is a small strip of track especially made for this, so it isn't drivable. EDIT: Below is also for california bit.
The FT86 track is way too detailed to be a course maker track. I think that it is a full track, but it wasn't finished in time.

Maybe the first scene with the Eiger style tunnel is edited but for the rest of those 'Mountain Road' scenes I can't see why it couldn't be a course maker track, they're not too detailed as far as I'm concerned and I can clearly see a familiar pattern.
Stone walls on either side makes it easier to have elevation changes, etc. without too many graphical/visual complications and the scenery near the roads are mostly trees with a beautiful mountain backdrop.

PaMu1337 I agree. We don't know if Dome is modelled. Maybe they just put physics of this car in demo and that's all. About mountain tracks. First one is very detailed and maybe it's normal track, but it's not that important. Also, it's Toyota promo, so it might be more detiled (too much for PS3) version. But with Cali road I can't agree. It's way more detailed than for example ride between trees with that racing Nissan/Nismo.
For me is important to gather all this material in one place. Label is not that important :)

I found that 1:12 in Citroen trailer is London for sure, but I have to analyze shadows to tell if it's day or sunset.

Now that I have seen all of this I feel like we are all missing out on some great features and that most of this stuff might be in the game but we don't have access to it...
and that Stelvio Pass looks absolutely amazing, I could see some great touge going on there ;).

Didn't see anything new in the vids, guessed I missed it.

None of it is "new" per se, they're mostly at least a year old! Abraxas' list is useful, though, in case you missed that, too. 👍

We're crying out for new course creator themes, and point-to-point's absence is baffling when they appear in the GT "Rally" events. Sadly, all this means I'll keep looking to future updates with ... expectations.

what a superb post abraxas.

there's one tiny mistake though. The california can also be used with its top up, if you add aero parts (stock comes with the roof down).
As far as i know it's the only car in the game that works like that.

Well yeah, but it shows the California without the aero on it with top up. So that's the actual mistake. ;)

As you say those are rumors. We focus here on features and content that we saw in trailers, screens and demos. That are modelled/prepared but not available in game.

just thought of adding them on a separate section with just the links. And most importantly, I badly want someone to find that thread I couldn't find.

You mean this one -> http://www.gtpla.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/gt5-screenshot-tracks.jpg ?

About Vision GT. I found 2 videos of this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTicZgQNEXQ
In this one I think all tracks and cars are from GT4 with added really alive pit crews. So I wouldn't count that.

But second one have some interesting things in it. You can see premium cars, interior, so it is way closer to GT5. I'll try to compare details on tracks in that video and in GT4, but it will be quite difficult as I don't have GT4 :D

That Impreza is hard to classify. It's premiumish and we have no proof there was modelled interior.

It seemed to have more modelling done to the interior than the Standards did. You can see the rollbar and seats, not to mention the drivers very clearly. I think it's worth including because it's clearly a different and much better model than the Standard version was that PD put work into yet didn't include.

-> I do share the same concern with Mekanaizer. Since then it led me of creating this tread:

GT's Original Tracks & World Circuits >MISSING< in GT5

^ Ever since the release of GT5, I am still disappointed towards PD on why they omitted these tracks above and the features were exhibited here on this thread. :grumpy:

So I decided to make clear list of all that missing stuff. Mekanaizer Add it to your first post if you want.
I'm sure it's not a full list, so if you have something to add tell me.

It featured reflections on road (removed in 2.0) and shiny tarmac, but with online bug tarmac looked dry.

Notes:
All of the above were somehow connected to GT5. I'm listng stuff from GT5P missing in GT5, stuff from GT5 trailers and screens (for example El Capitan is from PSP but featured in Red Bull GT5 trailer), and stuff seen in game but not available to use freely.
^ Good job on disecting each and every GT5 clips that weren't included in GT5! 👍

-> I agree on PaMu1337, that 'Mountain Pass' (aka. Stelvio) seemed to be too detailed to be just a mere course creator track. The overall quality of that track is close to a real original course track. I might discuss this on my thread for further details. (mind if I quoted your post?) ;)

Why the hell is all this GOOD stuff out of the game?

OK maybe they didn't want to include all tracks they have worked on yet but why take out stuff like the bloom in photomode?

DO they they want to make bloom and better graphics a DLC?....Or save it for the next GT and pretend its a new feature that could not be implemented in 5.

@The Vanishing Boy quote it free :) I love your tracks database, especially that I never played other GT than GT5.

@xSNAKEx about bloom. I think they added it by mistake, or removed by mistake. Same was with 2 player replay save. On some point they removed it and feature returned in next patch, so I hope we will get bloom in december again.

That kind of doesn't go in here. It's new, and it came out after the release of this game. This is really stuff that never made it into the game before it's release. Though, the no barrier-free Rome does probably belong in here.

So test track, bloom or FT-86 Concept II also should be removed. I thought it's good to gather everything that we saw but never played, no matter if it was before of after release.
