The rules don't say anything about bikes not being allowed in this vehicle wish list (but I am curious why no one has suggested some...), so here goes. I definitely don't want bikes and cars racing each other, but I do want some modern GP motorcycles in a future Gran Turismo. I feel they have just as much right to be in there as trucks or rally cars (and Polyphony obviously doesn't mind putting them in, as they were considered for GTHD Concept).

This is a wish list, and I wish bikes were in the game. And if you actually read my post, I clearly said I don't want bikes and cars racing each other. It's definitely possible for the development team to keep that from happening. Just because you think bikes shouldn't be in the game, doesn't mean they can't or wont ever be. Put it this way, till we actually get a definitive answer from PD that we are 100% definitely getting bikes in the game, I think it's fair to assume they won't be in the game.
If you posted a poll asking if people wanted PD to concentrate on either more cars or put bikes in, you can predict the results very easily.

Gran Turismo is first and foremost a driving simulator, not a riding simulator, that is what Tourist Trophy is for.

Because it's easier to have two seperate physics engines than trying get through the mess of potential bugs?
And thats my point. Polyphony IS NOT confirmed to be combining the two.

It not the official carlist, its a Wish list. read carefully.

I'm not referring to the physics engines necessarily being mixed, I'm referring to the fact that building another engine will also bring new bugs and the amount of time spent on the game will extend even further, its much easier to add new car models, tracks and game modes than it is adding a whole new physics engine.

Time is most certainly money in the games industry and spending more time putting in a feature which the vast majority of the fan base couldn't care less about is not a good idea, especially when PD takes so much time perfecting everything.

Getting off topic now though. Its up to Vanishing Boy if he wants to add bikes to the list.

Because they are. The only reason all these other "just for fun arcade games" have them is because realism means nothing.

Here's the way i see it. GT has been the trailblazer for the car world.

TT should do that for the bike world. I like both cars and bikes but i don't compare what bikes can do to what cars can do.

It's a different principle of transportation.
