GT5 Vehicle Wish List Ver. 5.0 [GO TO Ver. 5.5]

Status
Not open for further replies.
The only way they should ever put the two types of vehicles in the same game is if they have both GT and TT on the same disc, but have you choose which one you want to play. It would be similar to choosing between arcade and simulation modes, but instead it would be between GT and TT modes, with no mixing. Of course, this conversation should carry on in the thread devoted to this subject. (Ironic that this conversation broke out twice in threads that were on other subjects!)

I'm not referring to the physics engines necessarily being mixed, I'm referring to the fact that building another engine will also bring new bugs and the amount of time spent on the game will extend even further, its much easier to add new car models, tracks and game modes than it is adding a whole new physics engine.

I just remembered something: GT5P's physics for its drift mode are obviously different than those used for the 'normal' racing modes. I have yet to hear of any bugs with Prologue's driving physics. If it's time you're worried about, were TT's driving physics all that unrealistic that they couldn't just be carried over, perhaps tweaked a little to work with the PS3?

Getting off topic now though. Its up to Vanishing Boy if he wants to add bikes to the list.

It's not really off topic, but I agree, I'd like to hear Vanishing Boy's thoughts on this.

The only reason all these other "just for fun arcade games" have them is because realism means nothing.

It's a different principle of transportation.

Whether or not the cars handle realistically has absolutely nothing to do with it. Physics are physics, regardless of ... how much oversteer you adjust for, for example. And there's not that big of a difference between the basic principles of bikes and cars (especially when considering your stupid remark about airplanes and submarines).

Look man, end of the day. GT is a car game, that's why TT is for bikes. And yes, there are different physics requirements for a car a plane and a submarine. Thats why they should all be in different games.

I think it will be nice to include this new Golf model's:

-VOLKSWAGEN EUROPE-
Volkswagen Golf VI 2.0 TDi '08
Volkswagen Golf VI 1.6 TDi '08
Volkswagen Golf VI 1.4 TSi '08
Volkswagen Golf VI GTi '09

-> Ok, I apologize for the delays, but I've been observing and updating all the requests. And lately someone is planning to add motorcycles into my Wish List! Here are my replies based on what you post:

-Howmet Corporation-
Howmet TX '67

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howmet_TX
^ Based on my research, the Hownet isn't a company, but is is more of a subsidery. So I re-edit it to its real name, -MCKEE ENGINEERING-. Otherwise your request was accepted. :)

Mercedes 300SD
^ Also known as the model W126 300 SD, I kinda like that car myself. But next time be specific on your request thanks! :)

I don't know if it's been added - I may have spelt it wrong when searching - but I do have one suggestion (I hope I gt this format right):

Epsilon Euskadi
Epsilon Euskadi EEZ '08
^ This 'LM' race car hasn't really been released on a real race track. Rather it is only a conceptual design, not bad thou. :)

-MANUFACTURER- HONDA
- Make Accord
- Model
- Trim (if any)
- Body style coupe
- 'YY 1991
^ I will let you slide on this one, but next time please follow the format. I labeled the 1993 Accord EX instead. :)

^ I was about to post the Cinque days earlier before you posted yours, but oh well I'll give you the credit, for now. :mischievous:

maybe this one too.

VW Scirocco race car

=Pic=

and this BMW M3 (this is a monster!!):scared:

=Pic=

and this incredible sound:scared::dopey:: http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=a6GUxxKxbn4

topspeed: 340 km/h:tup:
^ Ok, no more pics unless you're trying to clarify the car. Plus the VW Scirocco GT24 has been added days before you did. Uh, that BMW M3 is unclassified, so request denied. :indiff:

I think these two will be nice cars to add to whish list:

-GT ACADEMY-
GT Academy GTR (R35) GT Academy Time Trial Race Car '08
GT Academy 350Z (Z33) Version S GT Academy Time Trial Race Car '08
^ Added as -GRAN TURISMO ACADEMY-.

The rules don't say anything about bikes not being allowed in this vehicle wish list (but I am curious why no one has suggested some...), so here goes. I definitely don't want bikes and cars racing each other, but I do want some modern GP motorcycles in a future Gran Turismo. I feel they have just as much right to be in there as trucks or rally cars (and Polyphony obviously doesn't mind putting them in, as they were considered for GTHD Concept).
=List of Motorbikes=
^ Sorry, all of them are denied. Go to TT Wish List for that. :grumpy:

This is a wish list, and I wish bikes were in the game. And if you actually read my post, I clearly said I don't want bikes and cars racing each other. It's definitely possible for the development team to keep that from happening. Just because you think bikes shouldn't be in the game, doesn't mean they can't or wont ever be. I could name hundreds of cars in the topic's list that have no place being in a racing game, but that's my opinion. We all have our own.
It's not really off topic, but I agree, I'd like to hear Vanishing Boy's thoughts on this.
^ I do understand your passion in regards to motorbikes, but unforunately Bikes are not included. That section belongs to Tourist Trophy Forum, and I don't know if someone did a Bike Wish List over there. If nobody started the wish list, this is the pefect time for you to start! ;)

-> I've heard rumors in the past that Cars an Bikes will be on GT. Due to the confusion on the E3's showing of GTHD two years ago, everyone was thinking that GT and TT will merge. But the truth is that after they're done with GT5, they will start on TT2 in the near future. If you're still iching about it, you can go here:

Motorcycles in GT5?

I think it will be nice to include this new Golf model's:

-VOLKSWAGEN EUROPE-
Volkswagen Golf VI 2.0 TDi '08
Volkswagen Golf VI 1.6 TDi '08
Volkswagen Golf VI 1.4 TSi '08
Volkswagen Golf VI GTi '09
^ The Golf/Rabbit VI isn't more than a speculation as of yet. Denied (for now).

^ This 'LM' race car hasn't really been released on a real race track. Rather it is only a conceptual design, not bad thou. :)
Just out of curiosity, what quantifies a 'real race track'? Sure, it's purpose-built for Le Mans, but it has seen track time in the following Le Mans Series events this year alone: Spa 1000km, Monza 1000km, and the Barcelona 1000km. If Spa, Monza and Catalunya don't count, what does?

Nissan R32 HKS Group A Car
^ I know there is a Gr.A R32, and theres a lot of them! (the Advan, STP, Calsonic, etc. argh). Show me a link to to this car, since it is mostly a livery type of a race car (I will delete liveries on my next version of my wish list), I may not able to added it in. :)

^ My apologies, I didn't know that this car is running through circuits already. All I had seen was only a conceptual CG-model from Ultamate Car Pages forum. Don't worry, the EEV is already on the list. ;)

In response to vanishing boys post. its a model but i cant a picture of the real car

^ I believe I found the real pic of the car HERE. I was about to add it up on the list, but since it is more of a livery type car than a tuned car, I'm denying the request. Sorry man.

DP-> I'll be on your list shortly. ;)

BT-> I already start on revising the wish list now. I added the links and deleted cars like the 3D Carbon Mustang, because it was no more than a body kit. ;)

-> Take note guys, that I will no longer accept race car's with liveries starting immediately as I'm doing a full-on update on the wish list. Thank you! ;)

The Lola ones should be:
Lola B08/60 (Aston Martin 6.0L V12 engine)
(it should be noted as a special case, because normal Lola B08/60's will run with a variety of engines, this one happens to be backed by not only Aston Martin Racing but also Prodrive.)
MG-Lola EX265
Lola B05/40 (Mazda MZR-R 2.0 L Turbo I4 engine)

Also, all of these are already on the list. Please read the rules next time.

Although, I would personally like to see that specific Lola-Aston Martin because of its special case, but maybe it can't be because its technically just a livery? What is the stance on Lola's? They are just the same chassis with multiple engines. I suppose its simpler in the end to just leave it as a B08/60.

The MG lola is actually the EX265, which is already listed And the Acura LMP2 is listed as the Acura ARX-01A and the ARX-01B. Also, could you show proof of this Lexus IS Super GT car? Your list other then the courage will be denied. Please read the rules and list before posting.

Does that mean you'll close the list to requests soon?

Are we creating a ‘wish list’ based on each users most preferred cars? Or is everyone just naming every car they can find on google, regardless of how much they would like it?

@ Driving park: Two variants (61HP, 71HP) of the Fortwo? :odd:

I would like to see a cut-down version of this list, featuring cars mentioned more then just once. I always thought it would be good to highlight or [/b] the more popular cars of the list. That would need some big commitment from the editor(s) though  .

I asked that a long time ago. I think it's the latter, but they say it's cars people genuinely want.
Can we at least cut out the Tuner cars? Cars like Mine's and Lingenfelter and Spoon surely don't need to be on a list like this if the car is already in its respective manufacturer?

I am posting cars I do genuinely want in the game. It may seem like I am posting every car I can think of because I have so many, but I have refrained from posting many variants of cars because they do not seem important to me as far as being in the game goes. Also, I never post a car without varifying from a periodical or some other valid source that the car exists. That's why I always post the exact names for the models as they appear in those sources, so I can be as correct as possible. I don't want GT5 to have cars that do not appear under the proper name. I never search google for cars. Every once and a while I'll search various sources for a company that seems to have too few cars, but usually I will use my car catalogs/magazines to find cars I would like in the game that aren't already on the list. The Fortwo with 61, 71, and 84 hp (on the list before I posted) is not the only car with more than one horsepower setting. Take the Cadillac BLS, for example.

@ nd 4 holden spd: Correct me if I am wrong, but hasn't this been discussed before and the decision has been to keep the tuner cars in? I believe they should be, as each tuner car is usually completely different than the production car or a different tuner car as far as performance characteristics go.

I hope this helps.

:-)

I think that’s a good idea. I can come up with hundreds of variants/ tuned editions of the cars I would like to see in GT5… but they would be boring, crap editions. IMO just post the few cars you really desire. 👍

Maybe there should be a comment on each suggested car. That could filter out the long useless lists posted by users, about cars no one has ever heard of, or cares about. For example, I’d like to see the reasoning for each of these:

-BISHOP SALES LIMITED-

Monster Miata [Gen.1, 94-97] All Option V8 {Ford 5.0} roadster '07

:odd:

Wow, that's a lot of Monster Miatas! TVB's reasoning is probably to give the company a decent amount of cars. Mostly when I see a company with one or two cars, I'll think, "there's GOT to be more than that!" and try to find cars for that company. I only post valid cars, though. Not some "Limited Edition which has different color floormats" that drives exactly the same as an existing car.

The only thing I see wrong with the Monster Miata list, what does All Option mean? Is it just a visual or interior package, or does it improve some performance aspect of the car? If it does, by all means, it should stay in. If it doesn't, I'm not so sure.

:-)

:-)

I will neither correct nor confirm you, as I wouldn't know if it's been discussed before. I'm just saying, why have a Spoon S2000 for example, when it provides as little as difference to the stock one? Any particular brand's performance division is the exception. i.e. TRD, AMG, SRT, FPV, HSV etc etc.

:odd:

Dang, that's a big list of Miatas that all sound exactly same. True to the factory cars too. From what I can tell the entire FD generation RX-7 spanning something like a decade, varies by about 10kg. So why have we got some 10 different FDs when they all look the same, all sound the same, and all perform the same?:odd:

Edit: Copied straight from the list:
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR {5M/T} '08
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR {SST} '08
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR '09
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Ralliart '09
Mitsubishi Lancer Exolution X MR '10

Can someone tell me why there are 3 GSRs that seem exactly the same? Why is the Ralliart there when Evo IXs are already in there, which is what the Ralliart is in the new generation look? The MR I can understand.

^ Yup, I'm a Honda fan too. But all the Honda's you've requeted are already on the list, some with chassis codes too! List denied. ;)

^ I would think most of the request I get here are most likely based on personal desires of that car to be put on the game. But I get the final answer if that car is somewhat derserving to be on the list. :)

-> Hmm, filtered down you say, much like Forza's way of car listing. It sounds a bit boring if you ask me. :indiff:

I asked that a long time ago. I think it's the latter, but they say it's cars people genuinely want.
Can we at least cut out the Tuner cars? Cars like Mine's and Lingenfelter and Spoon surely don't need to be on a list like this if the car is already in its respective manufacturer?

I will neither correct nor confirm you, as I wouldn't know if it's been discussed before. I'm just saying, why have a Spoon S2000 for example, when it provides as little as difference to the stock one? ^ Oh, you would like to acknowledge only in-house tuners and to dis-credit aftermarket project masterpieces? Unfortunately, a lot of these aftermarket project cars are faster than their in-house siblings. Take Brabus Bullitt compared to the C63 AMG. ;)

-> On the Lancer standpoint, the second GSR and the Ralliart are mean't to be on the USDM-spec, my mistake on that part. :ouch:

:-)
^ I'm trying to cut back on limited editions, unless there is substantial performance upgrade within that certain car. Like the difference between these [S197] Mustangs, the standard GT, the GT/CS, and the Bullitt. :)

-> In regards to the Monster Miata, the Base package only consists on the V8 swap ONLY. The All Option on the other hand consists all the upgrades known to man (brakes, suspension, etc.).

AH, I remember that car. I thought the concept was for DTM as it looks absolutely nothing like the Super GT car below it.

Well all of the cars I've listed are indeed vehicles I would want to see in virtual form. I tried to get the sportiest versions of each vehicle, as well as concepts, some 4x4's, and some oddities that would be cool to see in the game. If given enough time, I probably could list reasons for each vehicle that I've listed! :P
