Uhm no, not like this, rally stages through such an environment seen in the trailer are open (except theres a spot with a lot of spectators or for ad banners), there would be a fence/barrier tape if at all.

 Yes, that makes sense, sorry.

Or leave it as it is (Pikes Peak comes in to my mind).^^

EDIT: I really hope we can go off track, because this would also add the "tree and stone factor" to rallying.

Wasn't it possible to tweak your driver in Tourist Trophy? Maybe there will be something similar in GT5?

Ahh, I doubt it though...

About the tire deformation: I remember hearing someone saying that GT5: Prologue does the physics, but doesn't render it.

The problem with GT series is, even though if they render it in future, we will never know whether it properly model it or not. The only any specific info that we are getting so far was only from Yamauchi's word himself. And those are all very general and nominal information.

They need to release us about their physics model specification like other sims do, instead of claiming out of the thin air. Otherwise it's not a proper simulator is it? Hiding all the infos..:odd:

I'm just happy they seem to have gotten the licence to integrate the World Rally Championship into the game. Or at least that's what it looks like. I hope the include the Ford Focus WRC in Stobart Motorsport colours too! ;) 👍

Looks like they have the license to the drivers in NASCAR as well

Does this mean AI drivers will have names now?

I certainly hope so

They licensed the car together with the driving suite, just like with the Solberg Subaru, i wouldnt read to much into it.

I have a theory around the Concept GT crash which someone posted in this thread. My guess is that perhaps the engine went in the GT, it then dropped oil onto the track, hence all the cars go wide onto the grass - as the car's engine is blown it skids and is effectively out of the game - so then the car can no longer collide with the rest of the cars - hence why it looks like a couple of the cars don't collide with it - better than ghosting perhaps.

This kind of indicates the level of damage perhaps (I realise this could be also posted on the damage thread as well - do I post this twice?)

This detail might not be relevant for the game itself, but considering the accuracy of PD's detailing job why would they use fighter jets that apparently are made up? Could it be just another license issue?

Notice the difference of the Nurburgring from the newest trailer to the older video of the track running on the PS3. The road surface appears much darker, the trees are a different color. This leads me to believe that any footage we've seen of the Nurburgring so far is the track in it's "1.5" form and the full "2.0" Nurburgring looks much different and better. Or is the difference a different time of day or season or cloud cover?

The top screenshot seems to have a blue filter over the "lens" which is why I think it looks different.

Your probably right, which is dissappointing, but I'm hoping they've improved on the circuit as well as the "1.5" Le Mans circuit that's been seen as recently as 1 week ago

I think its pretty weird though that, that is the only shot with a filter on it... maybe it is a different time of day and they havent bothered changing shadow direction.

and if you look at the begining on the street scene than you notice that guy driving the alfa is the same guy with glasses who drives the mclaren
