@litchi, we usually don't do a double file start, because even though there is a high calibre of driver's usually I try cater for the beginner range, hence why I'm keeping with the tuning prohibited, which caught me out, but row 2 stacked up cleanly and row 3 and 4 stacked up good too, all in all the start was good, I always brake early for turn 1 when following people or brake as late as I dare if I lead into turn 1, and usually get bumped wide myself, I picked my start point perfect, I got an incredible run out of 6th place, after checking the replay from several angles I was not overlapping sakery until after the start line, and I didn't make contact with anyone until coming out of turn 1, I tried to keep it as tight of a turn in for turn 2 but the bump wasn't hard but was expected, then I just went hell for leather and that coupled with being half a sleep as is to be expected at 5AM for me,

usually I turn off visible damage and mic's when I reset the room, but I was on auto pilot from just waking up, so sorry,

If everyone signed up for Spa is happier to have it an hour earlier then I'm fine with that, I'm also thinking of moving it to the same time slot Saturday,

I noticed your tire wear Seth, I thought the NSX would have required 4 stops, but you still mustered a podium, well done, but I couldn't believe how when I caught you I would just leave you like you had nothing, initially I let you pass because I figured defending you was holding us both up so it would be far better to just follow you and use your draft but I let myself down doing that, same when Litchi, michmich, sakery, chris and joe came past, but I had some fantasic short lived battles with pretty well everyone,

and gippone, where did you come from, I look back and there's a black NSX and an empty straight then I let seth through and lose him then BAM there you are, and I never saw you again, it was like your a ghost, well played mate, and well done to you, I'm hopeing Spa is going to be a much more user friendly course and possibly thinking Fuji, (pending Supra/ Lexus gearbox testing)

I was on 4 stop strategy to keep my pace as high as possible (for the Lexus...) and to try not to lose much time to fill up fuel, that was a good choice that repayed.

I filled 20, 25, 20 and 18 liters in my pitstops :)

Looks like you guys had fun. How are the new tyre physics working out with patch 2.08 as well as the tyre wear options with 2.09. have not had my PS3 for a month as I am away from home.

its good, makes things more realistic in terms of tire wear, and compared to fuel consumption ratio its a lot better, BUT, other series it is possible to go 30 laps on racing meds without stopping, its all about power to weight to wheel spin,

Race was pretty sweet.
Start I got 2nd but TDZ´s rocket start was, well ... 👍 Never seen such a annihilation.

Followed him and Mich/Litchi where behind me and I knew if they pass me I´m done for the lead/2nd => tried my best to not let that situation occur.
Well if your faster (way faster) you will pass, although my second name is JarnoTrulli xDD

Both where gone like the wind after 2 or 3 laps. Which brought me in the Duell with TDZ (Supra battle).
I think we where exactly the same pace (qualied with a 50 dead but could do in testing a 49.7) but me had a better day.
Pitted after 24 laps and filled the Tank (68l or so) went on and gprilli was closing to me and TDZ.
TDZ couldn´t follow and gprilli passed him and was on the run for me.
I pitted 2nd time at lap 45 with little amount refueled (~25l).
I came out with a solid gap behind gprilli and thought man his strat was better, but he pitted a few laps later
=> I knew he will close to me at the end
(By the way I thought due to the last pitstop from Stealth NSX user (can´t remember the name) at Lap 41, that I could battle at the end with him but BS)

And so it was. I helped him achieving that with a supreme misbraking down the long back straight into the Sand. I reentered the Track roughly infront of gprilli.
And man the last ~10 laps where pure heart-attack. He was pushing so hard and I just focused on the accel out of the Turns and covering the inside line pre-corner.
And it worked till the end (he also made a mistake but ...).

I had to give my a-game to keep gprilli behind and I was exhausted after the Race.
Felt sorry for Litchi but thats GT5.

Next time I pick one of the Standard GTR´s if it´s allowed (Xanavi Hiroto ´01 for example) or a premium GTR.

I used the Stealth NSX, Sakery. I was on a good roll in the first and second stints. I passed everyone up to 3rd. By that time the other guys were way out front. Something like 25-30 seconds. It didn't help taking so much fuel and running 52s and 53s even, on low tires. I did 2 stops. I think I was the only one who did that. But it wasn't the best strategy! I only did it because I spun on the first lap so I figured I'd do less pit stops than everyone to elevate my position.

I saw that, but you didn't finish the race. So I think I'm the only one that did two stops and finished.

So far at Spa, I'm turning 2:17.2xx's. That's just my first laps with mess ups. Eua Rogue can be taken with a sight lift, but it's a matter of timing.

@sakery, yeah our battle for about 3 laps was great, 2 very even cars, but you had the edge, it probably would have continued through some more laps but I spun on the astro turf sending me almost into pit lane but I managed to straighten the car up and drive through the gravel instead, I cant remember if it was you or seth I put a brave move on around the outside of the hairpin on the east circuit, but passing down the outside there is my favourite thing to do,
Also which car are you using for the next one? there is enough choice of premium Nissans not to need standard ones, and the standard ones don't make the pace,

@stretch, taking sign ups mate, check the OP and see what's available,

My bad for missing lastnight, I fell asleep when i got in from work!!!

I'll take the MOTUL GTR for the next race.

yeah mate, no team again, that was just silly, and only one turned up,

Anyone want to practice?
Im just turning first laps@ Spa, not ever though.
Join, lets race

Sounds like some good fun here, hopefully I can make one of these one day. Never run a race longer than an hour before, be interesting to see if I can focus that long with all the distractions around here:banghead:

I've raced head to head with Mich and Litchi before:drool:, in a 24 lapper at DF in spec Yaris' I believe. All three of us were nose to tail for most of the 24 laps, excluding a few in the middle around the pitstops and at the line, I believe all three of us were within 1 car length and the margin of victory was around 0.10. With some luck I came from third to second with 1 corner to go and nearly got the draft pass at the line, if memory serves. They were tough and you had to earn all your territory, but also extremely fair, and it was some of the most fun I've had in a GT5 race:cool:.

room closed.

Just done a quick practice session with abs off in this room. I can hit a high 2.14 in the GTR and mid 2.15 in the Takata. But my NSX is brand new (only 488hp atm) so i think i can hit a high 2.14 with when it'll be fully broken in.

So i sign up for the next race with the Takata.

Litchi / GTP_Litchi / Takata

That's the one!!! I was wrong on the margin of victory though it was 0.039:crazy:

Chuck Norris EDIT: I drove these cars under these specs in an open lobby the other day at Spa. I recall mid-15's with my 473ish HP Takata and low 16's with my Lexus. I recall tire wear being quite high as well...

This is confirmed? One hour earlier?

@jippone, yes bud, I haven't changed it on the OP, also the date is wrong, should be 2 weeks,

@seth, Yellowhat's taken mate, sorry,

So this event will be on Nov 27th.... more time to practise!!! 👍

@TDZ: Pace isn´t everything. Will test both the Xanavi Hiroto (or Penzoil Zexel) GTR ´01 and one Prem GTR (Clarion/Calsonic maybe or any other). But if the Standard is heavily slower I´ll surely take the Prem xD

I'd like to switch to the Stealth NSX if it's possible (if not the ARTA NSX). Thanks Dave :)

Someone said the Clarion GTR is noticeably worse than other P GTRs. Let me know what you think when you're done.
