GT5P Vs GT5D

For me it's the overall experience from the in-car view, which is the view I always use.

It just "feels" so much more real and aliive than Prologue, which was kind of sterile, good but a bit too clinical. In the Time Trial it's like you can really "feel" the tyres running on the ground, can't pinpoint why, it is just the overall sensation.

I used to look forward to getting my hands on the Sauber/Mercedes C9 in GT5, now I am practically drooling over the prospect !

To anyone who has played the Time Trial, just imagine what it's going to be like to get behind the wheel of a Mazda 787, or a Nissan R390, Peugeot 905. I for one think GT's future has never looked so good, lets face it, this game is going to be the dogs dangly bits.

And GEORGE_GR33 or I take it you can count as well as read and write? If so then do you know what the little numbers are in the top corner of that YouTube video you posted?
Let me help you out, they are LAP TIMES, thats right, thats how long it takes the car to do a full lap, now if you claim to be able to get the Nissan to grip like an F1 car then congratulations, you have just won this years GT Academy, everyone else, just stop trying right now, we have found the winner. Honestly, some people !

I|s it because you can't pick a faster car than anyone else and tell us how good you are?

I honstly don't get it how some people can think this is a huge step backward. Demo rocks my socks. Physics have been really nailed down. Good job Kaz.

After another 4 hours ghost chasing in the Demo and already getting very familiar with the new Physics I did a comparison myself and started up GT5 Prologue.

After a 10 Lap Race at Daytona Road (closest to indy Road) in the Tuned 350Z (closest to 370Z) on R1 Tyres I really have to say...

The new "overall feel"
The way the car gently steps out (oversteer)
The ability to correct slides
The ability to make fast corrections (countersteeering)
The feedback of tyre-grip

..is a very big Improvement over Prologue.

During my direct comparison between the two versions the difference was so obvious to me that I really had a smile on my face when I drove the first lap on Prologue. I havent driven it since months and it felt so bad compared to the TT Demo and somehow arcadish...

Cant wait for GT5...

You have absolutely right tony, as I said in another thread:
I tried for few hours the tuned Nissan and I have to say the grip of that thing is unreal. It reminds me standard physics of gt5p.You need to have very big imagination to go fast. It’s totally wrong. This car has more grip than a f1.Look at kimi @Indianapolis:

Mr Yamauchi you’re going the wrong way.GT5P is almost perfect simulator don’t ruin that. You can compare any hot lap from gt5p with real life video and you see exactly the same inputs. That’s the real driving simulator.
If they drive like the demo at Silverstone, there’re going to be a lot of big accidents.

George

Yeah F1 cars accelerate out of the corners faster, they are going much faster when approaching the braking points, they have a hell of a lot more downforce hence why they can take corners flat like the 370z, but at speeds in excess of 170mph.

gt5d is an improvement over gt5p...
Both in terms of sounds and physics.
I mean.. the physics are so lovely...
Especially in the Stock 370Z. In GT5P I hated N-tires.. in the demo I love them.

Not sure if this was just an issue on my PS3 but on GT5P the crash sound is delayed normally if I hit a wall/barrier (all other sounds are in sync) but it seems to be cured on GT5D.

💡 err... well I'm about 200th or so in Portuguese table... and that is no reason for me thinking the demo is a disappointment...

Actually I feel that physics, in road/tire contact is better than prologue... although there's still things on that matter to be improved.

I rank 64th in US, would be 29th in Portugal, and I agree, if that helps you.

What are you talking about? that F1 ran a 1:10 lap - compared to a 1:35 by number one in a TUNED 370Z, on slicks. That's quite the faster time, last I checked, and oh, just 37 seconds or so faster than the Stock 370.

Not quite. Even though F1 Championship is in its own little world, that's one. Ferrari Challenge, although something like Forza 3 on the PS3 is another. And in Europe, Supercar Challenge, also known as Ferrari Challenge 1.5. Finally, for a few people, NFS: Shift and Dirt 2 are thrown in there.
