GT5's >MISSING< Tracks & Circuits [Moving on to GT6]

what are the differences of eiger nordwand between gthd and gt5? i can only see one-the bend in the pit entrance.

Well, you know how the current Eiger has the dirt (or sand) on the sides of the road? The old Eiger didn't have those and seemed more natural to some people (I personally like the new Eiger, but then, Eiger is just a kickass track to begin with, lol), along with other things that I'm not completely sure of myself. just look at the opening post and find it about halfway down, that picture should kind of give you an idea.

-> I haven't updated anything just yet. I'm here to reply some of the old post that I've overlooked. Sorry if its been a while that I replied... :guilty:

Haha i think replyin would leave way too much of a comment... But ya thanks.. And wikid u have the 60gb system... Are all of the ps2 games compatable with that ps3? I noticed some original ps games are able to be played on the newer systems... I.e. Gt2, spyro, driver... But ya it was fun trying to beat all my greatest lap times from 8 years ago... And also seeing the physical upgrades pd has given their tracks... Haha i was shockingly good at the game when i was younger... Even kinda suprised myself... Also did anybody else notice that the 2nd variant (backwards) of almost every track on gt3 is almost near night... oh ya that reminds me...

Gran Turismo 3, 10 year anniversary July 10th...
^ Yes, and the reason (and THE ONLY reason) was the 60GB PS3 came with the PS2's Emotion chip.

-> Some of them may be of a good thing, but most of them went to the suck-land. :indiff:

-> Really!? :odd:

^ Since I still have my GT3 saves, I might as well check that one out once I get the chance. Thanks for the update! ;)

Citta del Aria the Italian walled town in GT4 was one of my favourites (hasn't had enough love in this thread IMHO!) - haring up and down the cobbled streets and through arches and blind curves. Useless for overtaking but great fun all the same!
^ Although I'm not an actual fan of the track. But compared its popularity to the Legendary Tracks here on GTP, Aria hasn't gathered that much of a fan base in general. Infact as I jump though the threads here in the GT5 Forum, Seattle (Circuit) is gaining its popularity!!

Iiss those CGR HD videos... He REALLY knows what he's talkinh about and what he's doing... Hopefully a part 6 is coming soon... He has SOO much to cover since the 5th
^ There was no Part 6 unfortunately. :(

-> Although, CGR came out with its 'Macro' series as a direct replacement (somewhat). :)

:sly:

.....I was talking about Costa di Amalfi, lol, I don't think Infinion would make a good touge track either. Actually, Infinion would also add another Nascar track, which would satisfy those fans, the drag strip in the middle would satisfy those of us who want a drag strip, and then there was that other layout that went in the middle, I think it was a Grand-Am layout, I forget, either way, it would satisfy those fans, so one track that would be, in essence, 3 tracks, plus the reverse version, lol, since they count those, and maybe make it a weather verion too :D
^ Oh...I thought you were implying Infineon/Sears Point... :dunce:

-> Amalfi was a great track, although it was somewhat dull in GT4. But in GT5 with multiplayer feature online, it could very well be the next Tsukuba with less people (ie. 2-6 drivers per room).
;)

-> If PD could realize the potential of Infineon, it would cater every type of racer! Such an overthought on PD's behalf... :grumpy:

Jeebus, what a great thread.

I was in the PC gaming era (and prior to that, the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis)) when GT1 came out and didn't pick up a PS2 until it was a couple of years old (Slimline). I started with GT3:A-Spec because it looked great and was 'Platinum Edition" so this is a great bit of history.

Thank you!
^ Thank you and you're very welcome! :)

-> Every track that serves a significant memories into our lives must be cherished! And thats the reason why I created this thread. :)

I'm still mad that they've taken many of my all-time favorite tracks out of GT5. I really miss:
1. SEATTLE CIRCUIT
2. Apricot Hill
3. El Capitan
4. Midfield
5. Costa di Amalfi
6. Infineon
7. Test Course
8. Redrock Valley (GT2)
9. Grindelwald (GT2)
10. The original High Speed Ring (It was much better than the current, I remember every corner of the original HSR)

My dream is to have all of GT's original tracks and have time change on them. I hope the PS4 can simulate advance lighting, e.g. sun shining through trees when picking a certain time of the day. I doubt we'll see this happening though, at least not soon.

The track I want to have right now if I have to pick one is Red Rock Valley. It wasn't just a favorite to track to drive on, but it brings a lot of memories for some reason.

^ Oh...I thought you were implying Infineon/Sears Point... :dunce:

I've never raced on Amalfi with more than one competitor, lol, 12 or 16 would make that track real interesting real quick, lol

Yeah, maybe it might be part of the "every two months" DLC, lol

-> Hi everyone! I've finally updated the list. Since it getting really late for me (5am PST), I'm going to make it quick. :ill:

QUESTION -> Should I just make this list in alphabetical order? Would it be a better option or should I let stay the way it is?

Also did anybody else notice that the 2nd variant (backwards) of almost every track on gt3 is almost near night... oh ya that reminds me...

Gran Turismo 3, 10 year anniversary July 10th...
^ I just played GT3 15 minutes ago, and heres what I've observed. According to my playtime for 40 minutes of GT3:

My Log
- GT3's reverse tracks

-sunset
deep forest
grand valley speedway

-gloomy
mid-field
^ There you go! ;)

~> Good night/morning/afternoon. ~yawn!~

Like everyone said, I'd rather PD work on those with track logos found than on more real-world tracks. Those can be saved for GT6.

Besides, we have enough World Circuits already (Spa, Suzuka), though Infineon and Twin Ring Motegi should come back because they were in GT4.

-> I've made another oversight recently. While I was at work few days ago it brought up in my mind that maybe the Deep Forest track had an arcade variation.

-> But, when I got home right after work...ALAS! My gut instincts was right! There was a arcade version of Deep Forest as shown in GT1!!!

^ The problem lies towards the majority of people who plays GT5 who demands more World Circuits (ie. Mt. Panorama, Silverstone, etc.). Simply their resaon is in fact that GT is a simulator and simulators musn't have any 'fantasy' tracks! In my opinion, that is a lame excuse...GT

:indiff:

I really want Midfield Raceway.

Remember the fog on the reverse version in GT3? I loved it!! It was proof they were already experimenting with conditions. The same goes for Tokyo reverse.

I love Midfield, I want to marry it.

Hey vanish boy! Do these pics have any meaning? I can't read anything from Japan, can some one pin point this?

There isnt anything will make you shock,I remember they are only gt5 track folders.

Wow, I've been away from this thread for a while. So many tracks! :boggled:
@ The Vanishing Boy-As a suggestion, add a tally (and a grand total) of the number of tracks missing in GT5 💡 .

-> Hello. Sorry for the delay, and another long post. I've been busy tooling around with the launch of the BreezeFrees86 if you know what I mean! :sly:

BT -> But anyhow, I've been hanging around on this thread. And I've discovered couple of tracks:

^ If, and only if, I could read Nihon-speak. Oh I could only wish...I might need SHIRAKAWA Akira for this. :indiff:

^ Hmm, ok. I will check it out once I pull out my GT3 disc again, please list the tracks that has day/night differences so I can confirm and add more information on my list. Thanks! :)

^ Should I add TGTT weather/time track on the list? I said this on the other thread:

VB
-> I'm contemplating if the TGTT weather/time feature be included on my >MISSING< list. I did add Tsukuba Wet Track on the list simply because it was a full dedicated race track in GT4. :scared:

-> And heres my reason on why I included Mountain Road Pass (aka. Stelvio Pass):

VB
-> But on the Stelvio track, as far as what I observed that the overall details of the surroundings can be justified as a true Original or World Circuit track rather than a simple Course Creator track. ;)

-> Hmm, I wonder how Xenn is doing? I hope he unlocks more Hidden/Secret courses from GT1, GT3, GT4, & GT5. And maybe re-do the Laguna Lake Springs vid.

-> I still have to play GT3 to confirm Pletdekoe claim. :scared:

^ Heh, heh. Thats the best representation of the INDI track. :P

-> Found this at the 'unreleased' thread posted by Abraxas:

^ Its the open-bordered Madrid track from the Toyota FT-86 II video. ;)

I believe that's something Polyphony did themselves, I don't think we'll be getting such version of Madrid.

You know, I've been thinking more about this thread a bit. I'm actually saddened that some of the World Circuits in Gran Turismo 4 haven't shown up in GT5. For one thing, I would have loved to take the NASCAR Cup cars around Infineon Raceway. Think about it- GT5 has stock cars, GT4 had the Stock Car version of Infineon Raceway. But the track isn't in GT5! Also, NASCAR raced in some Exhibition racing around Motegi Superspeedway back in 1996. It would be a third oval to race on for the NASCAR stock cars.

So you could say I've been a bit saddened not to see the Infineon Raceway tracks (Stock and Sports Car) and the Twin Ring Motegi tracks.
