Tracks I'd love added to GT6:

Seattle Circuit
Test Course
Midfield Raceway
Red Rock Valley
Sepang International Circuit
Marina Bay Street Circuit (Singapore GP Street Circuit)
Ebisu Circuit.
More Touge tracks

Events:

Top Gear Test Track w/o rolling start. This is to more accurately simulate the circumstances that lap times are set in the Top Gear show.

More A-Spec rally and snow events. They have always felt like afterthoughts in the series and I feel that it should be just as prominent as paved road racing.

Initial D Style races: held on narrow tracks that are inadvisable to overtake on. The race will be held as a cat-and-mouse fashion, where the chasing car will win if the gap narrows by the end of the race, and conversely loses if the gap is extended by the chased car.

Free roam.

Tuning:

More tuning options, like more aero kits, especially for standard cars, if they would still be included in GT6. And make them feel less "tacked on". Perhaps they can get some models from tuners, like include RE Amemiya aero kits for RX-7s and Spoon parts for S2000s.

Have a paint preview before painting your car. Seriously, why this was not implemented in GT5 to begin with, I will never know.

A suspension tuning option that not only lets you adjust ride height as usual, but tells you how much ground clearance your car has so that it can be street legal. Most people whom play GT5 don't care about this, but I oddly enough do. And Gran Turismo is a series that I believe caters to pedantic morons such as myself.

Have official tyre manufacturers in the game, as opposed to just "Comfort, Sports, and Racing" tyres with 3 softness levels. The tyres, while having more or less grip depending on what you bought, always "feels" the same as the stock ones. And if they have official wheel manufacturers in the game, I don't see why they can't have official tyre manufacturers in the game.

Give customised wheels a specific mass statistic.

Give more details as to what is replaced and removed in the weight reduction process when tuning a car, so as to more accurately determine the final weight distribution of the car. Personally, I never liked the "blindly click things to make your car go faster" feel that the Tuning Shop gives me in the game, and I'd love to keep my AC and Radio in my car for street driving, even if there IS no street driving in the game. I just like being a moron, I suppose. Still, if they can tell us that replacing the windows and hoods of the car reduces weight, I fail to see why more of the same cannot be incorporated.

Have less noisy custom transmissions.

Have brake upgrades.

Allow for greater freedom in customising the look of our car, much like the Forza series.

Cars from dealerships should have an options list much like today's cars. For example, it should allow you to choose options like "18 Inch Wheels" or "Flappy Paddle Transmissions", or even an aero kit straight from the manufacturer.

More variants of the same car model, much like the Japanese cars in earlier GT games. For example, there should be Mazda RX-7 Type RZs, Type RBs, Touring Xs, and A-Specs in addition to the most significant Spirit R RX-7.

Less bias towards Nissan. Think about it, all the GT Academy cars are Nissans, and the GT-R has the R32-R35 models premium, and if you're willing to dig into the standard cars, R30s. Other cars, like the RX-7 for example, are missing the FB generation entirely, whereas Forza does offer one FB RX-7.

Photo Mode

I would REALLY love for all tracks to have time and weather changeability. Also, the god awful shading has to go. I find that the contrast in "standard tracks", as I call them, such as Trail Mountain have such high contrast it's often impossible to take a good shot, for the sun rarely cooperates.

Have a frame-by-frame option in replay photo mode, so as to make captures easier, such as trying to capture a moment of exhaust backfiring.

Have the steering wheel actually rotate with the car's wheels in Photo Mode.

Have the option to raise or lower a convertible car's roof in Photo Mode.

Allow for interior shots of cars to be taken in both replay and photo travel modes, instead of having to rely on glitches to take the shots.

Other requests I can't classify:

"Premiumise" all standard cars.

Have more recent cars. The game lacks the facelifted RX-8s introduced in 2009, let alone the Spirit R. The S2000, discontinued in 2009, is only offered to us in it's 2006 model. I find that aside from "supercars", the cars in GT5 are often not up to date.

No concept cars. I find it mind doubtful that the game can accurately simulate how a concept car would drive and handle if they can't even give us their specs in the showroom. Let's not forget that most concept cars don't even run to begin with. Their inclusion in races often spoil the realism of the game, which is what you buy a Gran Turismo game for. This also applies to models created by Gran Turismo themselves.

Permanent visible damage and tyre wear, to more accurately simulate owning a car, and thereby discouraging crashing and the like.

Better AI. 'Nuff said...

Better shading. As much acclaim that the series has garnered for it's graphics, I just can't accept this shading as realistic:

CircuitdelaSarthe2009_24.jpg

...where, you know, parts of the car that aren't even exposed to light are illuminated. I've also found that the area underneath the spoiler often lacks shadows as well.

GT1-esque soundtracks. GT1 feels like a GAME, whereas GT5 feels like I've just walked into a grocery store, albeit a really fancy one.

If you want a 16 lane track, go to a runway to drag on :D

I just want more night circuits damn it. The nurburgring GP circuit has variable weather and time but only when in the 24 hour variation. The 'Ring and Le mans have night racing but there's no race circuits with that feature, I'm talking about Suzuka, Fuji, Monza, Spa etc. I would love to be able to race GP circuits with time of day change.

I would also love more race cars, DTM premium cars and GT race cars.

After watching this documentary, I'd of course love it if every car Gordan Murray's ever designed was included in GT6, but one special one I think really needs representing in the world of GT (and which is a perfect fit to GT's taste) is the Rocket. The lightest road car in the world, and still to this day.

His Formula 1 designs were never conventional, but when Gordon Murray unveiled his first road car he truly broke convention. Simply dubbed Rocket, the lightweight car is a combination of motorcylce technology with single seater design. Not just the Yamaha engine and gearbox were two-wheeler derived, but also the unique tandem seating position. This allowed Murray to construct a single seater, which could seat two people.

A strong steel spaceframe chassis formed the basis for the car. Like a Formula 1 engine, the 20 valve Yamaha unit was used as a fully stressed member. Suspension was simple with double wishbones on both ends. Murray designed a very retro single seater body, which in many ways resembled the Formula Vee cars of the early 1960s. For the body and cycle wing fenders a lot of exotic materials were used to keep the weight down.

With a kerb weight of under 400 kg, the Rocket fully justified the ambitious name. At the time of its launch in 1992, it was one of the fastest accelerating cars in the world. Needless to say, the low weight also contributed to the car's phenomenal agile handling characteristics and incredibly short braking distances. Former racer Chris Craft's Light Car Company was commissioned to construct the car.

In almost every aspect the Rocket was the Lotus Seven of the 1990s, but the one difference was the main reasons for its commercial failure; it was not at all affordable. With a price of close to 40,000 Pounds, the Rocket was twice as expensive as a Caterham or Westfield clone. After 55 cars were completed the production was stopped. Murray's second road car, the McLaren F1, was a considerably bigger success.

Featured is Rocket s/n 003, the first car sold to the public. It is seen here at the 2005 Bonham's Silverstone Classic auction, where it was expected to sell for over 30,000 Pounds, but the offers made failed to meet the reserve set.

The rocket project was initiated and totally funded by Chris Craft. Chris is the Light Car Company. He long time good friend Gordon Murray was asked by Craft to work on the project. The body design was the work of Chris Craft and pattern maker/modeller Bob Curl, Gordon Murray transfered the final design to paper. Chris Craft is still producing the Rocket in Essex.

I think it would be a really fun car to drive in-game and especially race. Imagine 16 of these bad boys going at it? It'd be as fun as karts and something like Spec Miata all in one.

All the cars in this video already in GT5

less than 50% are but i do agree, i want all of them too Citroen Survolt, Agera r for me but chaparral 2E (mind your head) and Gulf Porsche looked awesome

I only have a few things:

Old GT Tracks:
Grindelwald
SSR11 (maybe both but me like the GT3 Track more...)
Apricot Hill (how could PD cut this off ?)
Midfield (see above)
Red Rock Valley (see above again but add why didn´t PD put this into GT3/-4)
Tsukuba wet and SSR5 wet (maybe use weather change instead of always wet)
Old Rome (10000 times better than the new layout)
Rome Night (Why did PD cut it after GT2 ?? was one of the funnest Tracks.)
Seattle (both short was fun too)
El Capitan (liked it from the beginning in GT4 and was one of my favourites)

Old Licensed Tracks:
Infineon Raceway (both layouts and I know it has a "new" name but it won´t come to my mind)
Valencia (why did they make it for TT and PSP and NOT for GT5 ??)
Old Fuji Layouts
Pikes Peak Hill Climb

New Tracks that should be added:
Mugello
Imola GP
Bathurst (on which they are working)
Hockenheimring (old and new layout. The shorter Tracks could be left behind)
Zandvoort
Assen
Yasmarina Circuit
Brands Hatch (short and long Layout)
Phillip Island
Red Bull Ring (or former Österreichring or A1-Ring) or this one:
250px-A1_Red_Bull_Ring.svg.png

Interlagos
Brno
Circuite de Pau
Circuite Bugatti (just a little thing for PD bacause LeMans is already in GT5)
Portimao
Macau

For Cars:

Old left out Cars from GT1/GT2/GT3/GT4/GT5_Prologue (see the related threads, not all but it would take too long for me to put every car I like in this post)
Drop the multiple Cars.
GT5 is an encyclopedia of Cars but two cars of one Era is enough I think (two R32´s for example).
But space is no issue => just add :D
