That escort is horrible. It may require 10billion dollars to make a new platform but, a rwd back to basics no frills Escort, would clean up. I'll read about the development later. For now, a little 1.4L/rwd/4-door(even with the drivetrain"hump") could still be made for the Chinese market. All the car needs is a/c, a smart gauge cluster, navi( or a holder for a tablet and iPod/iPad/Samsung connectivity, hidden storage pockets and a $800 smart key. Done.
