Well, we can't get the Nissan Deltawing.
There is no way PD is going to pay the $1,500,000 to get the license for one car.

*Whistles* Why is that 1.5 mill? The car cost 10 million to make, and they charge a sixth (closer to a seventh at 6.6) of the cost to make it? *sighs while nodding head sadly*. Want to start a donations page to raise the 1.5 million to see it in the next gran tourismo?

The De Tomaso Pantera would be nice, though it would be very unlikely.

De Tomaso would be very nice as a brand (and that's an understatement), the Pantera, Mangusta (in my view even prettier than the Pantera but much more tricky to drive) and Vallelunga (basically a beautifully 'clothed' Formula Ford) would all be welcome, personally wouldn't mind a Deauville or Longchamp as well.

But why would it be very unlikely? Forza and the PS2 game Enthusia both already included a Pantera (and some PC sims as well) so I'm guessing getting a license for this now defunct brand isn't that hard (nor perhaps as expensive being defunct).
The Pantera is quite a legendary car, there are far more obscure cars from far more obscure brands already included in GT5, so it's a pretty likely candidate as long as Kaz wants it too (or better put, priorities it).

Yes! I have a book called "Book of classic cars" and it featured that Pantera! I'll take a look at the book now to give you guys ideas.

The name and rights of that brand are still owned by someone (they planned to revive the brand but went bankrupt) so that isn't the issue (the rights of any brand will always be owned by someone or some company, they don't disappear suddenly when the brand itself no longer exists as they represent value).
In fact, GT5 and many other games already include or have included some defunct brands, the fact the games I mentioned before already or still include De Tomaso proves that getting in contact with the license holders isn't the issue.

Did a bit of quick research on the matter as I didn't really follow the proceedings since I saw the awfully dull SUV concept called Deauville (not to be mistaken with the original Deauville mind you) they were planning to build which to me looks a bit like a dated Hyundai...

But from what I understand BMW was (or still is) only interested in the building facilities to make BMW's.
The last De Tomaso's build under its original founder were BMW-engined but I'm not sure that plays a role.
Perhaps indeed for expensive halo cars like the M1, remember that the original M1 was planned to be partly developed and build entirely by Lamborghini but that was changed due to Lamborghini's dire financial situation in the late seventies.

Didnt look in to it much but still could happen, even one or two models out of it (simple shell game for bmw then, reskinning a current range). The above could be X6 but better looking.



But as for all these cars, PD would have to scan each one somehow. Turn10 are alright on this as America is large with alot of imports/domestics around. Japan, not so much so PD need to set up a temporary base in Europe, America, united arab emirates (mainly for the super rare exotics) just to get the variety higher. Japan has a few european and american cars knocking around but......... Im betting most are in the game.

Watched it race, was FAST. My first car was a focus and wanted to kit it like this lol. Found an Rs on 400hp with this kit at £9k, was tempted. This was one of my fav shots.......
