Perhaps I'm not being clear; I don't doubt the car's general attitude is similar - that particular layout (high power, 4WD) wasn't the weak link in GT5.
A co-owner of the garage PD has chosen for their PR exercise is hardly someone I would call neutral; I certainly wouldn't expect him to say anything negative, because I wouldn't either, given the situation. I'm not questioning the validity of his statement; it could very well be true, but I'd want other sources to confirm it on a more general level. I also wouldn't take it as a sign that the physics have moved on massively from GT5, if only because he probably hasn't spent the obsessive amounts of hours some other folks have testing the various aspects of that game's physics engine.
At this point, I'm less worried about the physics aspect than I am about the game just being
fun, because despite GT5's shortcomings in the former, the latter is what really hurt compared to the rest of the series. My skepticism ties to the former, is all.
(Oh, and also, I'm only slightly annoyed the street date is being broken seemingly all across the globe, but Toronto retailers are all uptight about it
)
