By the way, I eventually found out that the RA menu is available in GT6, but only through the built-in dedicated buttons on the DFGT wheel. As of GT6 1.00, RA functions can't be set up on controllers/pads.

If were given 30k towards our first car for track use and driving, I would think an AE86, MR2, S13, FOCUS, would be great choices. If iwere headingnto the track for the first time against other racers, a BRZ/86/FRS might be the better weapon of choice.

Hopefully they'll change that, I loved having those options available to me with my DFGT, and I when I upgraded to a G27 a few months ago I set it up so I could use it. It's great to be able to change brake balance without having to jump off the track.

Not came out of the Abarth for the past 3 hours, haha.

Call him "Abarthe"
I can totally see why judging by your photos haha, they hype me up to also take out a Abarth as well. :)👍 Oh, and also, thank you for sharing info on paint chips, that's great to hear. :D

The distance you have driven in a car is displayed on the odometer. Driving over long distances causes engine condition, oil condition and body rigidity to gradually deteriorate. This is known as "deterioration". Your car's body will also get dirty, and may suffer dents or scratches as a result of collisions or crashes. This is known as "damage". If your car has suffered damage or if its condition has started to deteriorate, please visit the Pit Service in order to repair your car.

This was taken from the online manual. Does this mean that dirt and damage will carry over to other races? http://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gt6/manual/#!/tuning/about

I am going to see how far I can go with an NC Miata. I'm sure I can get it up to at least 500PP. Wonder how many races it will let me do with it. I'll keep the Fit to pickup groceries. Should be interesting.

Hey it's all good man, silly GT6 thinks making races 550PP can stop me in my Abarth...no chance!!

The damage model is kinda strange now, you actually see dents and the like but they don't really go deeper...they just spread if that makes sense? regardless, it looks much better than 5.

Not sure if you knew already, but according to the japanese online GT6 manual (which is already live), to unlock the Open Lobby function (online) users are required to obtain the A Licence first:

Senseless but I wasn't expecting anything different. 👎 So much for avoiding offline completely for the first time.:boggled:

Awesome man...

:)

Count the Honda Fit as Car 0 since you didn't have a choice. Then the El Camino can be Car #1. :)
I see no problem with that logic :D
I guess I'll do the first series with the Fit, sell it, buy El Camino. Unless I need 30k up front...

Sorry bout delay but I feel bad for not elaborating what I mean, this is from one 70MPH Collision into a Legacy:

Wait what??? The bumper doesn't come loose like in GT5? I remember in GT5 the damage was faaar better than that on some street cars like the Gallardo for example

This was one pretty small collision though, literally in a braking zone. I didn't force the car to crash, the GT5 damage was pretty hard to do accidently.

If you want me to do some damage tests I will.

Oh I got you. But later could you or anyone else try crashing one of the "more-damageable" premiums from GT5? Because I know for a fact some could get more damaged than others, Like the Impreza sedan from 2005 which could have its hood open and close after hard crashes

Is there still a used car dealership? Can we buy any car at any time? Like RUF, Caterham, Ford RS200 etc

EDIT: Iv been told you can. Yeww

I like the new damage visually... I hope that engine/transmission/tyre damage will be unlocked through the game but nobody talked about it so I think it's not there...
However, I would like so much to have a sound update over a visual damage update

Another little tid-bit. Although paint chips exist, you no longer 'use' them and they disappear. You just gain access to use the colours for unlimited usage.

Pretty great.
That's how I've been saying it should be done for a long time now. To me that is a good system that could only be perfected by adding a color wheel option as well.
