CorvetteConquerlol, I still can't believe Kaz mentioned DLC in that July 1st interview with the Spanish PS Blog (and yet we've heard nothing since!). Feels like forever ago. Never hang onto his words, my friends.

TokoTurismoI don't believe any words Kaz saids, because he knows he isn't gonna do it... But if he did make another DLC, it'll be half 🤬 like the last one.
Maybe he does it because he doesnt understand what effect its happening. Maybe he is arrogant that we will put up with it and still spend our money or maybe he has something huge in the works we just dont know.
TokoTurismoIt'll be funny if he releases it when Horizon comes out. That's some plan he's attempting there, like he did to FM4.
I think he needs to learn more about communication.

So you expected GT5 to be like what GT HD was supposed to be?Since GT5 has been out, has PD released updates to try to take advantage and expand on most of the new things like Top Gear, NASCAR, WRC, Super GT, weather/time change tracks, etc?
No. Most of these things are still shallow experiences and get little attention in the game. What they choose to update instead reveals where their priorities are.
MuoNiuLaI greatly appreciate the fact that Jordan & the rest of the staff of GT Planet are able to report on things like this, but I think it really says something that we are getting more news GT Academy than on the actual Gran Turismo games. After all, none of this would be possible without the games.
Not blaming anyone here for lack of game news, except for PD and their frusturating habit of keeping everything a freaking secret. Open your mouth Kaz!
You shouldn't be. It is nice that Kaz uses his personal Twitter feed for GT5 news since we don't have any otherwise, but there should actually be GT news somewhere at an official capacity; and him occasionally talking about GT5 or GT6 amid his Twitter updates doesn't make it a replacement for such. For 🤬 sake, it's a business, he's "important", so I'm glad he writes anything on his Twitter wall.
Improved... from GT5P to GT5 or GT5 v1.0 to GT5 v2.0?Are you going to ignore that they managed to improve the physics and graphics (especially the Standard cars' visual quality)? I was surprised that they did that, but since those aren't about extra content, you'll ignore them.
If they're so terrible and boring, would you prefer for it to never have existed?
You just answered your own question. Yes, they do somewhat fix the lack of events in GT5, BUT, it's not the best solution possible. In the past, PD have been able to create good events in their GT games, most notably GT4 (and even GT5P).Ask the question, "He acknowledged the lack of events, so why hasn't anything been done?" Add-ons like you're suggesting are simple. Guess what though? We'd have to pay for them. Seasonal Events obviously don't make up for that even though it's still appreciated.
As above. With the Standard cars interior, granted, that was probably all they could've done, given that they had to use whatever they could. Were the standard car interior views that pointless (despite the minimal interior detail in the race cars and couple of street cars)? Is the rewind/fast-forward replay function a crap addition (even though it was more than likely created as efficiently as possible)?
Well, for one, GT5 was essentially incompletely at the beginning. For starters, we didn't know of the concept of Standard cars at all until a few months (weeks?) prior to the release of GT5. You could say we were lied to.You already feel that PD was obligated to work on GT5 post-release. GT6, a sequel/product, will have more content. All of that is obvious. Why should GT be the only series/brand that is forced to add free content, intended for the next game/product, to the most recently released iteration?
I'm looking at the Standard cars. I'm looking at how long it took before they got interior views. I'm looking at how long it took for them to have to ability to change wheels. You're saying, "No, look at what the updates tell us."
I say heh? So look at what GT3 didn't bring, then at what GT4 brought. Look at how GT5 started off like with GT5 Prologue, a demo/beta of GT5, and its updates http://eu.gran-turismo.com/gb/support/d4186.html. Now look at the Product of that and its updates http://gran-turismo.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_updates_to_Gran_Turismo_5. Viewing the contents of each "game's" updates, the similarities and differences are obvious. Ever wonder, like I have, why GT5 Prologue had as much extra content as it did and why we had to pay for most of the extra content/DLC in GT5? Kaz is in charge, so let's blame him, he must be the devil.
And why are you ignoring what we currently have?Basing your negativity on one unfinished game's updates while ignoring the quality of past iterations and what GT5 Prologue's updates brought? You had a good point, then I remembered that you guys almost never do. You're simply always backing each other up when you feel like ranting.
GT5 is incomplete because of Standard cars. FACT.Oh, boy. When I first joined, I heard nothing but the people I argued with telling me, "Source, please", and nothing more when they had no good argument. That was their way of defeating anything I had to say and by sticking together ALWAYS and never admitting that they were out-of-line. Now that that's kinda over with, you're mostly using false assumptions and basically claiming that you're speaking the truth while backing each other up.
I just wished he told us something about the apparent spotting of PD people recording car sounds from the Hyundais. I just wished he told us a bit more on GT6's development. Though I'm not saying he should be like Lady Gaga, given the language barrier, but at least he can give more frequent Tweets, even if it's in Japanese. For 🤬 sake, it's a business, he's "important", so I'm glad he writes anything on his Twitter wall.

Another Japanese seasonal! Whoa! I've never seen this before.
Out of all the possibilities, it's another JP event.
Why not a NASCAR event on Daytona Road Course?
Why not an LMP event on La Sarthe?
Why not Italian Supercars?
Mustang VS Camaro?
Corvette VS Viper vs Ford GT?
British supercars?
The monotony of GT5 is literally overwhelming. This series is in a free fall, it seems. Sales say no, but the direction of the seasonals, lack of DLC, terrible A-spec, etc, is concerning. Been a long time fan, but I would love to see someone else take the reigns of GT. Or maybe a new and upcoming series will take over.
I was going to change "glad" to "appreciate". I honestly don't disagree that they should explain further about a lot of things and that we shouldn't have to wait till the day of to find out we're getting an update, but to me, I don't see what that'll change. I get anxiety like crazy and it isn't exactly great that the communication is lacking. The reason I'm fine with, or don't let the lack of communication affect me is that it simply won't do anything but appease people's minds.
When PD changes things in patches, they should say what they changed. When they plan on making major changes to the game structure or design, they should say that they are going to (before they do it, preferably). When they are implementing some DLC differently than it had been in the past, they should say that they are when they release it. To say nothing about their nasty habit when they are hyping something to keep things vague (possibly because of translation problems, but for a top tier development studio of a top tier game franchise translation problems shouldn't really exist in the first place, let alone be allowed to run rampant) and then never touching on them again (not even to clarify) until they release whatever they were talking about (Remember how they had about a year to say something to explain what the original interview about Standard cars was trying to say, and we still found out pretty much everything when the game was leaked a few weeks early instead? Because I do.). PD even has several outlets for doing so, but they don't use them.
No thanks. I'll take a seat when THEY stop posting like THEY do. And it's not just a video game. If anyone reads that literally like THEY always do, save yourself the time and don't reply. Recently, it's been decent and dare I say, boring around here, with the inevitable jab at Kaz and constant "CorvetteConquer - More Japanese races…this is new AND exciting!" which was why I haven't posted much lately feeling that I didn't need to get involved with such petty thoughts. CC's actually been the "worst offender" with Muyonoinla being Muoinoanonkla.@jackhole calm down m8, it's just a videogame, not everyone loves it, and Kaz/Pd in the same unconditional way that you do

What about Kaz acknowledging that there are too many duplicates (something I considered to be a non-issue unlike the lack of support for the G25/27 steering wheels) and too few events? You say we now know what their/Kaz's priorities are as if this can't be debated.

I was going to say when I made the comment about how some of these guys walk in packs to back each other up and how it used to be that I needed proof whenever I said anything, that Toronado was the only one that I butted heads with that usually/always had something to back up what he said, even though those were some of the harshest arguments I've had with a fellow member and one of few, if not the only person, to somewhat shut me down. The ONLY reason I didn't mention that was, because I had a feeling he'd reply to that long post I made. You'll know when I'm raging/ranting when someone tells me to calm down, because I'll be saying, "Leave Kaz alone, you batch!". :|
Well,
My point is, I was 100% right about how THEY, not Toronado, travel in packs, although it's always been blatantly obvious. As I kept on seeing that the "last post made by" show that it was a "member" of THEY , I couldn't help but laugh a little. SERIOUSLY, I was going to make a comment about how someone was going to break down my post like, "Oh, I (we) got you NOW!". I'm just going to have to ignore them. It never gets old.
When I mention/point out how many sales GT5 has thus far, I know THEY! look at it like "quantity /= quality" and other such things. My point always is that I'm pointing out how relevant GT/5 still is despite the constant "GT5 is the biggest flop in the series" and then, "GT5 is only selling well, because of its name". GT5 is relevant to this day, since it LITERALLY has been selling as well as it was one year ago. The most recent PS3 + GT5 bundles only helped it jump a few thousand out of 15-20,000 copies sold each week. There I go again being as unbiased as I know how to be on this subject.
I don't know. Have a good day/night, THEY.

bzking23ok can we get back on topic with GT6? has anyone heard any information on the two (or three) added tracks?
