That doesn't make much sense mate...maybe that is a selector and we just have to click on the left/right button to change it!

Maybe so, but do you really think PD will let you have that much fun? I doubt it..

Confirmed here:

Yea I just saw it on the website thx for info.

Remember, race cars, for the most part, have 18" wheels. So, if we want to recreate certain cars for racing maybe we can inch down?

Now that I think about it more, you're right, it'll probably be very limited.

I wish that were the case, but it's a good thing in a way.. We don't need Veyrons running around on 26' wheels lol.

Could we expect the custom parts will be also available for the standard cars?

And is there any information if we can change the exhaust tips, for example 4 tips instead of 2.?

So now we have a bunch more cars running around with that ridiculous naming scheme, and possibly no longer have RMs either. Lovely.

How is categorizing them ridiculous?

Did we get Pikes Peak or any hill climb track for the Suzuki Escudo?

Not yet... But theres the SX4, Toyota, and Quattro there.

Gran Turismo 6 : collection of car's picture on website

Thanks, looking at still images on the site is so hard, flashing them on for a split second in a slideshow really gives me more time to get a good look at them.

How is categorizing them ridiculous?

Because "LM Race Car" doesn't mean anything when they slap that particular label on everything from the real life Jaguar XJR-9 Group C car to a fake mildly worked over Honda S2000 and anything in between. "Touring Car" and "Rally Car" are similarly meaningless. All it does is clutter up the car entry and garage screen with a bunch of words that will undoubtedly be cut off on the screen anyway when it was relatively clean beforehand.

I really hope they've done some tweaking to the handling on dirt. The longitudinal grip was good, braking was meh.. But the lateral grip.. Well there wasn't any, as soon as you went the slightest bit sideways, it's like you were on ice. Atleast to me it felt that way anyway. If it is sorted out, point to point rally is going to be awfully fun.

Regarding the weather/night time effects, here's hoping we see the clouds in the distance. Watch them role in over the circuit and cool the track. clouds also helping vision by blocking the sun during sunset.

I really like the fact that you can buy racing suits and helmets freely, as well choose diffternet colours of your choice.

Oh btw. The dealership was in the "Europe" selection, so you can pick NA, Europe and Asia dealerships to find manufacturers. That's pretty cool. :)

I really like the fact that the are going to give you multiple kits regarding what type of conditions you are going to be running in. Like for the suspension, you have the choice between Soft, Hard, Rally, and Fully Customizable

I've always wondered why you've been able to pick "Upgraded" clutches, yet the cars act no differently with stock or racing. Flywheels seem to change the way the car revs as it should, but if i double a cars stock Horsepower on a stock clutch, it should slip.

If they've fixed the linearity issue with the clutch in the game, maybe we will be able to tell a difference in bite or where it grabs. I don't know, i just think it's pointless to put a part in the game that doesn't dynamically change the feel of the car, or doesn't act realistic as it should.

I wonder if Kaz is hesitant to make GT that in depth, in fear of scaring away your average player? I think people are looking for realism and authenticity now more than ever. I say feed it to us as much as they can. Kaz needs to realize that it's deeper than just making the car look realistic. Maybe that will happen once they quit worrying about making trees look pretty. 💡

Or, like, the currently selected size, maybe.

That could be, but i'm not trying to get myself too excited lol.

Oh yeah, and also like how you can actually the paints you want, instead having to buy certain cars to obtain that said colour. That feels so much better. Thank you PD. 👍

Whilst it certainly is good news it really shows how bad some areas of GT5 were that we're thanking PD for being able to buy paint for our cars. Something other games have managed for decades.
