Just noticed this car in the list...

Ferrari GTO ’84

post-26056-Antonio-Banderas-computer-reac-cWjn.gif

This car alone will make this game a worthy purchase.

Question for Jordan to Kaz : How many events (in career mode) will include in Gran Turismo 6 ? I hope there will be many more than Gran Turismo 5.

Thank you in advance. To be honest, this is my only fear on Gran Turismo 6

Most scary part for me of the information blowout:

There are also events that recreate the feeling of endurance races in a much shorter period of time.

I hope that this is just an additional type of event and not a complete replacement of the actual full endurance races... :nervous:

I know that this would not be popular with some but I would welcome the 2.4hours of Le Mans with open arms. I did not do the 24hours of Le Mans in GT5, bloody waste of time. If you had a genuine field of cars, the proper Le Mans cars, with good AI and some real sense of achievement/great reward then sure I'd be interested. But the 24hours of Le Mans in GT5 was far from that in any way shape or form.

I'd much rather the 2.4hours of Le Mans, 2.4hours is more than enough time to be driving around a game version of La Sarth against a small number of the wrong cars driven by stupid AI.

My favorite race in GT5 was the Nurburgring 4hrs, which I found the ideal Endurance race time for a game. 24hr is overcooking it, I agree, but I still found it a nice (and unique) experience once the in-game saves became an option.

2.4hrs would be acceptable for me, as it's still decent race time. It's just that with PD you never know... ;)
I hope they don't go the GRID route and do the 24 minutes of Le Mans. That was just plainly ridiculous.

Considering PD/Kaz implication in real world endurance racing, I believe those existing longer events are there to stay. On the other hand, no driver races for 24 consecutive hours, so eventually there will be a possibility of skipping forward supposed team-mate stints. I’d still prefer team based online seat sharing.

Then why bother listing the individually-liveried GT500 cars?

The individually-livered cars are probably not repaintable, while the base models are. I imagine that's the reason why there needs to be separate models for them.

Question for Jordan to Kaz : With you officially confirming that there will be base models in the game, will this lead to a livery editor system, ala Forza?

Thanks in advance. To be honest, this is looking much more promising than Forza 5, but I only need that last little bit confirmed.

If you spend time looking at games like Project Cars on the PC then GT6 does have pretty bad graphics. They are low screen resolution (so lots of jaggies) and use pretty low res textures.

I disagree, when I play Project cars I still think GT5 is more realistic graphically.

That was what brought me back to earth. ;)

Were you on the moon? ;-)

That would be the most elegant, most fun and most realistic solution of them all 👍

You can't disagree with the low screen/texture resolutions, those are just facts. GT tends to hide low res texures well, but other than in lighting/colour tone the gameplay visuals aren't even in the same league, GT6 Silverstone demo had even more jaggies than GT5.

Presumably "Stockyard" on the list on the left is like the items bin on GT5 for redeemed DLC and prize cars.

I like the GTO visually, but at first thought, I wondered how different it'll be from the F40 given the drivetrain is somewhat similar. Apparently it's the subtle differences (ignoring the power difference!), and the practicality / driveability of the 288 that makes for the interesting comparison. Guess I'll be testing that out. :D

Still, I can't help but think an "ordinary" 308 might bridge the gap from the Dino to the 430 a bit better. Maybe the 355, too.

I don't think PD would have gone to the effort of recreating the actual night sky as you would see it at the real world location along with correctly recreating the correct dusk and dawn times for the track just to compress them down to shorter races......at least I hope not.

Is it me or the Accelerate 'X' at the left bottom part of the screen means we can fast forward the replay?

This is a feature that is in GTPSP and was in the GT6 demo. Don't know why anyone would use it, but it quite litterally tells you what button input you have just pressed, and what it does. So that is in-game footage, not replay footage.

You can find this information written on their website, we don't need to guess.

You can also store cars you don’t normally use in a Stockyard, and transfer to your Garage when required.

Basically an alternate list, presumably without thumbnails etc, that doesn't get loaded every time you open your garage, for cars that you don't plan on using, for saving load times in the garage.

Edit: Was looking through the concet #6 video, and found something that might or might not be a thing. There is a shot of that new Megane Racing thing, which is one of the cars that is "Base model" as well.

In the clip, you see 2 racing close, with what at first looks like different paint jobs, but if you look closer...

renault 2.jpg

In image number 1 (yellow car) we see 'elf' logo stickers on both left and right side, as highlighted, some form up sticker on the front spoiler, highlighted, and a racing stripe down the bonnet, highlighted.

On image number 2 (greyish car) both elf stickers are not on the car, and can't see a sticker on the spoiler (although kinda bad angle). Also can't see evidence of a racing stripe, and clearly on the bonnet we now have a big "renault sport" badge, as well as a RM style number sticker slapped on the top.

Are these just differences between the 3 models of this car? Body kit wise they are identical, so I presumed it was the same car.

But GT6 demo wasn't representative of the final product! besides, I still get much more pleasure from GT - having said that project cars isn't complete yet either..

Not sure why GT is more pleasing to the eye for me.. maybe it's because GT looks better on a 1080P TV.

The stockyard is for keeping cars that you don't normally use: "Organising and managing the cars you own in your Garage is now much more straightforward. You can also try out your cars on Free runs and change racing gear directly from this location. You can also store cars you don’t normally use in a Stockyard, and transfer to your Garage when required."

Edit: And that Matt Black Megane is the base version, with RM like vinyls and is also repaintable.

Double edit: Just figured out how the paint chips work, you will still have to collect them, but only once. So you buy the car with the paint you want, and thats it, you have access to that paint forever. Just check the wheel paint image for proof of this, the paints shouldn't be in that order if we were just given them all.

In fact from the website:

Paint
In addition to car body paint supplied in the colour of the cars you have acquired, in the future there will also be special paint items that will be distributed in online events. In addition, it is also possible to paint wheels purchased in custom parts.
