Was it just me or did a plane randomly appear in the sky at 0:38?

Looks like a dimensional being gracing us with its presence for a fraction of second, or just a glitch. Maybe there's a meaning behind this, could it be trying to warn us about something?

Well i recently got gt5 and after having played forza and many other pc racing games it was very hard to get into at first. But i put the sound of the cars behind me and i started to really enjoy the game. I was then getting really excited about the idea of GT6 and then i can to this post and i must say i am very disappointed so far. I really cannot understand how they cannot put the sounds of the car at a 1000% number 1 priority like seriously it has the worst sounds of any racing game i have played in the last 10 years. If i worked at Polyphony i would be pushing with all my might for them to do something about it. The game would be so much better and i think the chance they will add better sounds after launch is really lame. Give the customers what they want or even better they should do a post with a poll of the top 10 things they want to change so we can choose where they put time into the game. Anyway with all that said i will still buy the game but i would pay double the price if the cars sounded anything like forza

They indeed are and are getting better at it I think. I recently played GT5 and drove my Nissan GT-R Black Edition and it sounded a lot better than it did when it first came out.

I hate to put it like this but things haven't changed in at least 10 years so don't expect any improvements for the next 5 years. You're new to the series but many of us have had enough and won't be supporting this company anymore.

You make it sound like PD are never going to do anything about the sounds. At least give them credit for acknowledging it thanks to everyone pushing them over the edge.

I have faith that PD will update the sounds from the update Kaz said he has planned.

Hmm, really? Soundcheck, 1, 2, 1, 2...

GT4, 2004:

GT5, 2010:

It's not the exact same car with the exact same tuning parts and it's not recorded in the exact same way, but it's clear that some things have changed in the past 10 years.

Myth busted.

I believe PepeMickey should see TenD's post where PD have updated the sounds through those 10 years. He'll be very surprised of what a big liar he is.

When anyone reads TDs posts, they rarely see what he actually wrote. All they see is the word "SPAGHETTI" typed simultaneously

As expected, it looks like all the cars will get a generic suspension geometry. The SLS GT3 doesn't dive and squat like that.

Did you ever drive one to say something like that? You cannot talk about the handling of a car without handle it yourself.

If you tried the GTA demo, there was a very clear difference between how the stock Nissan 370 moved, compared to the tuned one. The tuned one barely moved.

I haven't driven one, but I can still make the same claim. Because, I have Google. Stare at the lead SLS in this video. When it brakes, only the lights come on, but it seems to float around the corners with only body roll being visible:

"Oh, but TexasTyme214, maybe you can just setup up the car so that you get the diving and squating in GT6, a different setup than what's in the video." If you're saying that, I have a link for that too: http://www.teampetronas.com/?id=279

The 370Z is a completely different car. It doesn't apply here.

Nope, the Z34 definitely doesn't apply when every car get's a generic suspension geometry according to you.

The difference between suspension geometry is even more visible this time around than in GT5, each car behaves differently depending on factors such as the suspension tuning, dampers, downforce, tyres (Might be wrong about this one) etc.

They're all different animals.

Of course it does. The tuned one had a much stiffer suspension, and beyond handling differently, you could clearly see it in how the car moved. That's a direct counter to you saying that all cars would get the same suspension animation, regardless of setup and what not.

@dr_slump...That is the best AI that I´ve ever seen in my life. ;)

I can watch that video over and over and never get bored of it. The driving is perfect and the sounds of the cars are beautiful.

The point of that video was to show how the suspensions react or interact, and yes maybe in GT6 suspensions are exaggerated a bit like everything when it comes to the physics...but let´s wait for the final product. Since we can tune the cars and such if the suspension model is not "generic" but "global", as I prefer to say, for every car we should notice the changes if we make suspensions more hard as happened in GT5.

I think they are using some "weird setups" now on purpose to show the change to the people. They use to do that when something is new and if it is noticeable.

Cars at least looks more "alive" now and not like "cardboard boxes with wheels".👍

There is another factor to consider here and that is the steering, throttle and brake inputs - if you look at the video again and take note of the way the they are being used they are quite extreme - hard on/off brake and full on and off throttle through the corners - not inputs you would normally be getting in a real life situation - and if you did you may very well have the SLS diving and squatting like that. ;)

Of course it does. The tuned one had a much tightter suspension, and beyond handling differently, you could clearly see it in how the car moved. That's a direct counter to you saying that all cars would get the same suspension animation, regardless of setup and what not.

It doesn't apply because I'm saying that the SLS GT3's suspension doesn't appear to be true to life. It seems that it was given a generic suspension model in place of what it actually has. Perhaps, I'm wrong that EVERY car has the exact same suspension geometry, but the SLS's appears to be false/not fully accurate.

Comparing the 370Z Tuned and the regular 370Z is different because you could just swap out springs, decrease ride height, and tighten the sway bars to produce the same results. It's not like it was suddenly a completely different geometry such as the anti-dive/squat technology that the SLS GT3 has in real life.

At no point was I argueing your point about the SLS. I just said that the 370 is a perfect example of the fact that not all cars will behave the same. Only point I was trying to make :).

In the second video, his actual hand movements aren't exactly in sync with the virtual hands.:nervous:

There'll always be some visual delay. It has to process on PS3 and redraw onto the TV. Of course an option to remove the steering wheel if you want to would help.

I thought Dr Slump's SLS GT3 video was stunning. It made something tingle inside. If GT6 could sound like that (even if it is through an update) I would be happy with just the one car in the game.

I'm going to watch it again
