Question, what if the dubbed sounds are examples of the car sounds that PD is working on for that sound patch they mentioned?

Another thing; December 6 can't come fast enough.

At least the fact that they dub over the engine sounds proves they know the in game sounds aren't up to par. We do know they are working on them for GT6 and presumably won't update the game with them until they are satisfied with the result which will hopefully be every bit as good as the dubbed sounds they are using.

Very happy with Bathurst! I've been wanting Mount Panorama to get the Gran Turismo treatment for soooo many years now! :)

Agreed, but we still need them IN the game. ;)

Unless PD themselves confirm that this trailer's sounds are an early taste of the new sound they're working on, I'm not believing they're not dubbed over like in the other trailers before it.

Haha I tried explaining this earlier to no avail, good luck explaining it a way people can actually understand that your not saying these sounds aren't dubbed.👍

The 0:46 mark had me questioning if these were actually dubbed.
Either way.If they do get the in game sounds to sound like the sounds in that video ( for the most part) then thats a huge step forward.

It sounds way too good considering this is PD we're talking about. This is not an abnormal decision for a PD-made trailer (to use altered engine sounds).

Anyways, PD has a lot of room to improve. Gameplay is where it'll count.

So guys, this concludes the 7 new locations right? Bathrust, Brands Hatch, SilverStone, desert track... help me out, I'm a bit stumped right now.

Was this announcement made for like... No reason? I don't recall a gameshow, excluding the one that just passed, and it's not quite the run-up to Bathurst 1000 km. quite yet. Close, but it's still 8 days away.

On top of that, I'm still hoping for Seattle, at least. I'm buying GT6, if Bathurst's in, but I'm not specifically exuberant about no Seattle. I was thinking it would be in, since every other track that's been shown/mentioned/leaked is in.

Seattle would be the cherry on the top. New York, Mid-Field, etc., would be the cherries on the top of what currently looks to be a good game. (No, I'm not deaf, I just don't care about sounds)

Awesome surprise there (figured that's why they didn't show anything at TGS). Did anyone notice that on the R18, it actually has the "24 Heures Du Mans" sticker on it? I know not many people will care, but PD hasn't done that since GT3 so I thought it was cool to see a car with that back on it.

Bathurst
Brands Hatch
Silverstone
Willow Springs
Goodwood

I think that's only 5 to my memory.

So, I looked it up for you, daus26, the number of new circuits/locations appearing, so far, in GT6: 7

  1. Silverstone
  2. Brands Hatch
  3. Goodwood
  4. Apricot HIll
  5. Matterhorn
  6. Willow Springs
  7. Mount Panorama/Bathurst

Depends on your definition of new. In my opinion (not supported by Webster's Dictionary, I assure you, nor Oxford,) "new" means "not in GT5." So, yes, Apricot Hill is new to me, since it's not in GT5.

Of course the sounds are dubbed. At the 48 second mark three cars (Renault, Corvette, Huayra) all make the same sound as they supposedly pass the camera. In fact throughout the sounds don't match the cars.

Thanks Racecar and ITCC_Andrew, I guess what stumped me was Apricot Hill and GoodWood. One is something we've already known from past GTs, while the other isn't really a track, although you can drive on it I guess. I thought these two may not count, but it looks like they do. I don't see how they would reveal another track or location for launch tracks from this point.

But, then neither do Seattle and Mid-Field, meaning we could have an additional 20+ tracks that they haven't announced, yet, trying to persuade the last-minute-buyers.

I know that it's wishful thinking, but I'm sure that they (PD) are aware of a high percentage of potential customers who are "considering" the purchase, like I was before Bathurst was announced.

And, on top of that, if there are supposedly 7 "new" tracks, and Apricot Hill and Seattle etc., don't count, that means there's still a new track that hasn't been revealed or announced yet.

It (Goodwood) definitely is a track, it's not a circuit. It doesn't have "laps." But, it is a drive-able surface, meaning that it is a track.

definition of "track"
n: A rough path or minor road, typically one beaten by use rather than constructed.

Doesn't look as good in screenshots as it does on the video, unsurprisingly.

Oh and I'm pretty sure Apricot Hill is being counted as new and that's our seven. Just read the official website, it says:

.......GT Academy that nurtured gamers into professional racing drivers; and the legendary Brands Hatch of UK fame, for a total of 7 new tracks included at launch. No matter if you’re driving alone or if you are challenging rivals, GT6 will set the stage for your new drama.

Below that listed are seven tracks, all of those new in GT6.

Apart from tinting or color filtering, I think it looks pretty close or as good. From the screenshots, it's taken in a really bright day. In the trailer, it only seems like it's just darker due to tinting, color curving, or filtering.

I'll take it.

I was referring more to the texture quality.
Agreed. It's not terrible & it represents what it's supposed to, but it looks like something you find in one of those user-created tracks for PC sims. Cars look great as usual, though.

The darker parts of the tarmac look pretty rough to me, but that's always easier to pick out in static screens. Are the pits really that... clinical, in real life?

Still, huzzah to a new, highly-requested track 👍
