It is, I don't know what the obsession is amongst Youtubers to label pCARS footage as GT6.

Simple, for views. Youtubers will post anything and label it something popular just to get views (or just to troll). I do agree, it's very ridiculous.

The difference is pretty massive on their newer outings, though. Cape Ring is really, really obviously a fake track. Matterhorn too, at least to me.

That said, I'm not opposed to their inclusion, as some of them can be good, and others are GT stalwarts at this point (the "Gran Trio" of GV, TM, and DF having shown up in every full iteration).

Cape Ring has too many sudden elevation changes to make it a safe and fun circuit (the jump, the jump, and the series of rocky corners coming up the the spiral from below. The curbs are also really big! The spiral is a cool addition, but the execution of the rest of the course just wasn't there.

I'm really glad to see Apricot Hill back. That was one of my favorite original GT courses!

Cape Ring is a very silly track.

Caper Ring South and Cape Ring Inside are very good track, I did so many tuning/testing and races there. Flowing track with some technical parts and requires good car setup as well as precise driving.

As falango said, that's my favorite original track from the GT series, I always felt that this particular track is the closest to a real race track among the original tracks

Cape Ring is a failure as a track, but if you go for the South or Inside tracks, things might get better

And that's rather problem with GT5's "paperweight" jumping physics than track alone.

Yes and no. It's pretty close to rally levels of jump. The bumps on the Nordschleife are about as big as you can reasonably have on a race track, and GT5 doesn't have massive problems with them. The jump on Cape Ring is much bigger than Flugplatz or Pflanzgarten.

Cape Ring Periphery was one of my favourites, more for the several fast flowing corners than the silly ring and jump. The setting also breaks the realism - should the track have been in a valley rather than the top of a hill there would've been some more realistic features, regarding the run-off areas.

I thought joining the inner and outer circuits with hairpins broke the flow of both circuits that were otherwise quite enjoyable on their own.

^ I miss both of those tracks, and Red Rock Valley. :(

Indeed, GT1 and GT2 really hit the spot as far as quality circuits were concerned. The tracks were occasionally eccentric (it would cost millions for the tunnels and bridges) but I don't think it was overdone. Most importantly the track layouts were good. In GT5 it feels like someone has told them that the track environments feel sterile, and they've reacted with utterly over-the-top gimmicks.

Yes! That's why GT6 needs the old tracks! Pleeeaaaasse!!!!!

I like Cape Ring's layout. My gripe with it is the uninspiring background. Not as depressing as Complex String, but it's just dull.

I agree, I feel the current original tracks could have better design. I wish that PD spent more time on track detail & backgrounds than gimmicks.

Although, I do like the gimmicks used in kart space. I also have a liking torwards Cape Ring. Anyway, I feel that maybe PD could do better if they at least go back to their roots.

The Eiger Nordwand track is basically designed around the background. Cape Ring also highlights the background which does not look that spectacular to be honest. Same with what we've seen of Matterhorn, it is just being used to attempt to bring excitement to the tracks. I don't necessarily think backgrounds are the answer.

I thought GT1 and GT2 tracks had great track environments, because they usually had a forested appearance to cover up the lack of extensive backgrounds. High Speed Ring and Test Course in particular are very distinct from their PS2 equivalents. I thought the forested look was much more aesthetically pleasing.

Silly and over the top doesn't mean bad, the kart ring for example.

Kart Space existing in real life is within the realms of possibility though. I could imagine some Arab royalty splashing money to create a venue like that, and as such I think it is somewhat different from other GT tracks in that regard.

Thread says: "GT6 Screenshots and videos"...if it has GT6 in it...it is valid to post it here, right?

Well that´s what Saidur Ali and I did. Just that.

It is a video with GT6. You can comment or not in it...I never saw it before and I bet some others too.

Jeez, look at the comments section.

People have become so obsessed over graphics that they happily gloss over the facts that need fixing in GT5.

You can only polish a turd so much...

I'm not saying you couldn't post it, just annoyed that someone uploads the TGS footage as if its "New Gameplay" when it isn't.
