Im excited. Because its a good sign that if the first event has a pp restriction the others may as well. All that is moot if the AI isn't improved.

I used to believe that PD needed to fix the AI as well... and then I played Arcade on Professional mode and was blown away that it was the same game.

Sure, they still need to fix some of the parameters and a few quirks the AI has, but it's not as completely broken as one might think if you just played GT Life mode.

I just used a Stealth Audi R10 in the Euro Hot Hatch Event. The PP limit is much welcomed. Now, if they can define what body styles race in each event that might also help.

Someone please translate this!!!

My Japanese is not perfect but basically he says that there will be a ps4 versiion but that as of now they focus on the ps3 version so they can't really give details about the "next gen"GT6.

Rest of the questions are mostly uninteresting, even tho I can't understand Chinese (questions are in Chinese) from the replies Kaz gives Incan make out what they ask like "is there gonna be a season pass?" "what are the differences between gt5 & 6" and stuff like that. Rest is things we already know.

I definitely like the sound of a PP limit in the Sunday cup and hope it is in all races. I hope there are tire restrictions as well. One big problem with GT5 was that there were no restrictions so you could just run the pre-order stealth car with race tires in that event and many others and just blow the AI away. It would even let you drive the Stealth Mclaren in the light weight and the hot hatch races ????

I also hope they do the thing where they pay more if you use a weaker car. It makes the races much more interesting and gives you some motivation to try the weaker cars in several events.

Alright thanks anyway!

By the way for the question about season pass he reply that there will be dlc and updates for the game but that he don't know yet if they'll use the season pass system.

Especially if you turn there aggression to 10, I was losing 1/4 or a 1/2 a second a lap to the leader. :| BUT, I stopped and waited a lap and passing him was easy as GT mode. :scared:

Of all E3 attendants, not a single soul could drift a Countach on CH/CM at Autumn Ring ? or no ABS driving on CM tire ? At least, a thought of doing it ? :( I should have been there...

The Racer X competition one Guy's lap was invalidated so he kept drifting the 370Z the rest of the lap  ,That counts right?

Was the car on Sports tires ? As per usual for GT Academy, and I think it's too grippy if it tries to simulate the real car, let alone for drifting. I bet he was E-braking all the time and having a drift-grip-drift dance.

They weren't on a Racing tyre compound that's for sure ,it was the 370Z tuned I think and no he didn't use the e-brake.

Well if you drive with a wheel, you will know from GT5 that the in-game driver's wheel does not match the out-of-game wheel. In game it only turns some 180 degrees, where most wheels these days do 900 degrees. But of course the car responds to your own wheel, not the in-game car wheel, otherwise you wouldn't be able to turn enough :D

Wheel matches on real life and game until that 180 degree spot, animation after that 180 degree spot is needless (IMO).

That sensitivity setting, as you are well aware from GT5, is for stick sensitivity when using a DS3 or some other controller that is not a wheel. Again as you know from GT5, there is a crawler at the bottom of the settings menu that briefly explains what each setting actually does.

You don't own a wheel or you have never tried that setting with a wheel.
That setting is definitely for wheel, and most important setting for wheel along with "Simulation" setting in normal settings.
That sensitivity is easiest understand as "delay from wheel to game", and number 7 says no delay, if liking at your inputs are sent delayed to game then please use some other value, for realism you should use 7.
You should really test that setting and correct your beliefs.

I have FOUR!!! A DFP, G25, Fanatec GT3rs w/Clubsport Pedals, and a T500. So yeah, YOU ARE WRONG. I suggest you confront Kaz on his Twitter feed about the inaccuracy of the feature's description. Furthermore, "Simulation" only applies to the OLD wheel (with blue grips) that came out for GT3.

Have a nice day.

I own two Logitech wheels and let me assure you that the setting you refer to is for the DS3

Test it, you are throwing money out from window with your wheels if using some other setting than 7.

Sensitivity does affect wheels, maybe all wheels, I have seen a post somewhere here on GTP which shows on video, how it affect wheels - he was driving Ferrari F1 car. I quoted it once, forgot which thread it was from, will look into it again :D

Okay, found it :
I am not sure if this is true, but here is another post from a member about controller sensitivity affecting his steering wheel :

I know this is an old thread, i was just searching and found it but it hasn't seemed to have ended with much factual information.

In Gran Turismo, the steering lock on your wheel is set to 900 degrees for all cars, however, the front wheel turning angle is set correctly to correspond with the steering wheel lock. The F1 cars feel very good and drivable to me after the spec 2 update. Just because the steering wheel turns a full 900° doesn't mean that the steering ratio is increased in the F1's.

In real F1 cars the steering ratio is fully adjustable within a certain range, meaning you can adjust how much the steering wheel turns and how much the front wheels turn, some drivers like Fernando Alonso and his team mate Massa both prefer a higher ratio (more steering). This is somewhat possible in GT5 by adjusting the steering sensitivity within the "Driving Options" in the track menu.

Here's a video of me with the T500 with F1 wheel doing a seasonal event at the Nurburgring 24H layout. I have all the driving aids turned off, this includes the ABS at 0, the steering sensitivity is at 0 as well and i actually prefer it this way because it allows for more precision, it feels like the front wheel angle is about 14/15° at 390/400° steering lock, which is realistic. If you increase steering sensitivity, it increases the front wheel angle while maintaining the same steering wheel lock which shortens the ratio, same effect as in real life:

Also, as a visual reference, look at this video of Fernando at the Ferrari test track in the F10:

Just did some testing, and found out the lower the steering sensitivity, the less you have to turn a wheel to do a turn. -2 did sharp corners with a lot less turning of the wheel when compared to 7 at Monza, I thought it was the other way around, so I now have a way to get faster lap times.

At least now I know you can change it, with the f1 car I had to crank that thing to get through the first chicane.

This has helped me and a buddy with G27's out immensely!! Good call on the info!!

an interview with kazunori can someone translate ?

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see Warren4649's reply. But he didn't translate everything Kaz said, so I'll keep my post here

I can't believe no one did this for like 3 pages. I don't understand Chinese so I'll omit the intro, but I can take a guess at what questions were asked.

Of course I tried my best to translate everything, but I'm not a professional translator, so if anyone else want to add or correct, please do (especially the questions. Like I said, I don't understand Chinese, so that is totally a guess based on the answer that was given).

1. "Is GT6 coming for PS3 or PS4?"
There is already a big base of PS3 users, so we would like to deliver the new GT series to them first. We felt that there were more potential in PS3 performance, and we could do more with it. After the release of GT6 towards the end of the year, we want to grow the franchise by continuing to provide DLC on monthly basis. After we've done enough with the DLC, i.e. when everyone had a chance to play thoroughly the entirety of GT6, the new, PS4 version will naturally appear.

2. "Is there a plan for PS4 version of GT6?"
Of course we have plans, but we're not at the stage of being able to talk about it, because we are concentrating on the PS3 version.

3. "Difference between GT5 vs GT6"
The most important improvement from GT5 to GT6 is the overhaul of the essence of the racing games, and build a new basis for the next generation of racing games. This includes the physics engine, or the rendering engine. If you had a chance to try it out, you will notice a huge difference in the speed of the UI. For example, from the top menu to the start of the race, there is hardly any waiting time, and the player can start the race seamlessly. Like so, we're trying to improve the quality by rebuilding from the basic elements that can be transferred to the future of racing games.

4. "Is there going to be Season Pass for GT6?"
We have decided to provide monthly new content. However, we don't know for sure whether this will be in form of DLC or Season pass, which is a yearly subscription. We have not decided on this point yet.

5. "Are there going to be Chinese tracks?"
I visited Shanghai International Circuit recently, and it is in our waiting list, but we have not started recreating the course. It does take a long time to recreate a course. Since GT6 is to be release at the end of the year, so it is difficult to make this deadline.

Sounds promising! 👍

Kelrick you confirmed me that my Japanese skills are better than what I thought thanks. The only question I didn't get was the one about Chinese tracks.

The sunday cup get's a PP limit!!???

I'm more sold on this game than I ever will be :)

Agreed! I just hate it when some of my friends say "Hey, I passed Sunday Cup lapping all of my opponents! And you had a helluva time beating it! Loser!"... While I use competitive cars, they rather putting a car that does the trick easily. And then, they say "Have you noticed how boring the game is?"... No comments - that's quite sad...
