Why do journalists ask the same questions again and again? I'm really tired of seeing the Ps3-4 questions when he's already answered them a million times.

I agree

Don't care about PS4 version, we want news about GT6 on PS3

I used to believe that PD needed to fix the AI as well... and then I played Arcade on Professional mode and was blown away that it was the same game.
For about a year now, all I've been doing is racing in Arcade Mode on Professional because it's so rewarding - and no goodies from it, just a race.

Hopefully, the wimpy bots at E3 are just there so people don't find it too much of a challenge with the new physics.

Especially if you turn there aggression to 10, I was losing 1/4 or a 1/2 a second a lap to the leader. :| BUT, I stopped and waited a lap and passing him was easy as GT mode. :scared:

Yea, that would make sense. You're a lap down so the AI is just bringing it home. :) Unless I'm misunderstanding what you meant.

Does that mean if you play Professional class in Arcade mode there's won't be chase the rabbit races? Will it be something else than chase the rabbit? Because I think the biggest problem of offline racing in GT5 isn't just the AI's behaviour but the way events are held with a rabbit car running ahead and few position battles going on in the field behind since the cars are spread out a lot from the start.

That sensitivity is easiest understand as "delay from wheel to game", and number 7 says no delay, if liking at your inputs are sent delayed to game then please use some other value, for realism you should use 7.
You should really test that setting and correct your beliefs.
I had always assumed that setting was for the controller so had never changed it from the default 0.

After seeing your post I went in and tried it at 7 and definitely better at 7. One issue I had had in the past was controlling heavy oversteer sometimes having the car whip back the opposite way then eventually loosing control. This was apparently due to the delay causing me to be a little late and then over compensating and loosing control. When set at 7 I was able to catch the oversteer correctly and only got a slight wiggle from over correction on one occasion.

I went back to 0 and tried again and while the difference did not seem huge I definitely liked it better set at 7, just feels sharper and more in control.

Thanks for posting that 👍

Yeah, no rabbit in the Arcade mode. When you choose professional and set AI aggressivity to 10 Racing can get really intense.

It depends a bit which track you choose because at some tracks (for example tsukuba i thing) the AI is pretty slow at corners and not really a challange.
But especially on Nurburgring, when you drive realisticly fair (!!) without punting and risky overtakes that throws the A1 cars out of the track you can have great races there.

I have to say when i drive GT5, is mostly just do Arcade races with different cars at Nürburgring in the morning or evening without any HUD and the narrowest Cockpit View turned the sound up loud - Its an extremely intense race feeling i've never got in any other videogame

EDIT: In Arcade mode the cars are all close at the start

Sensitivity does affect wheels, maybe all wheels, I have seen a post somewhere here on GTP which shows on video, how it affect wheels - he was driving Ferrari F1 car. I quoted it once, forgot which thread it was from, will look into it again :D

Okay, found it :

i know this is an old thread, i was just searching and found it but it hasn't seemed to have ended with much factual information.

In gran turismo, the steering lock on your wheel is set to 900 degrees for all cars, however, the front wheel turning angle is set correctly to correspond with the steering wheel lock. The f1 cars feel very good and drivable to me after the spec 2 update. Just because the steering wheel turns a full 900° doesn't mean that the steering ratio is increased in the f1's.

In real f1 cars the steering ratio is fully adjustable within a certain range, meaning you can adjust how much the steering wheel turns and how much the front wheels turn, some drivers like fernando alonso and his team mate massa both prefer a higher ratio (more steering). This is somewhat possible in gt5 by adjusting the steering sensitivity within the "driving options" in the track menu.

Here's a video of me with the t500 with f1 wheel doing a seasonal event at the nurburgring 24h layout. I have all the driving aids turned off, this includes the abs at 0, the steering sensitivity is at 0 as well and i actually prefer it this way because it allows for more precision, it feels like the front wheel angle is about 14/15° at 390/400° steering lock, which is realistic. If you increase steering sensitivity, it increases the front wheel angle while maintaining the same steering wheel lock which shortens the ratio, same effect as in real life:

also, as a visual reference, look at this video of fernando at the ferrari test track in the f10:

just did some testing, and found out the lower the steering sensitivity, the less you have to turn a wheel to do a turn. -2 did sharp corners with a lot less turning of the wheel when compared to 7 at monza, i thought it was the other way around, so i now have a way to get faster lap times.
at least now i know you can change it, with the f1 car i had to crank that thing to get through the first chicane.
this has helped me and a buddy with g27's out immensely!! Good call on the info!!

It is not about DELAY, the setting does not influence the time wheels in the game take to turn after you give input on your steering wheel. It is about the SENSITIVITY, as far as I have tested.

The reaction time stays the same, but the wheels in the game turn more, relative to the same amount of steering input, with settings at 7 than they do at 0. So it is not about delay, but amount of travel, SENSITIVITY is correct.

Ok, it just feels delay, still no matter how to call it. I have only one million kilometers done on real car.

5. "Are there going to be Chinese tracks?"
I visited Shanghai International Circuit recently, and it is in our waiting list, but we have not started recreating the course. It does take a long time to recreate a course. Since GT6 is to be release at the end of the year, so it is difficult to make this deadline.
Good news. Shanghai is a fine circuit with multiple layouts. Would be a nice addition, whenever they get around to releasing it. 👍

Were there other journalists at the round table meeting :odd: haven't heard anything aside from the chinese interview.

Probably for the better. I can live without knowing Kaz's favourite food, what shampoo he uses and at what age he got his licence:crazy:.

The Tesla has earned a spot as my wallpaper until the GT6 Demo release.

So how are they going to release "track DLC every month" unless they are going to hold out content?
Notice Kaz said "DLC content" not "track DLC" this time. It makes more sense that way.

Edit: reading again and He said that He's not sure if the "monthly new content" is coming in the form of DLC.
4. "Is there going to be Season Pass for GT6?"
We have decided to provide monthly new content. However, we don't know for sure whether this will be in form of DLC or Season pass, which is a yearly subscription. We have not decided on this point yet.

I've never seen someone fail so drastically at every single corner multiple times before, that is seriously shocking to watch!

I'm sometimes wondering how do these people drive in real life. I mean come on, you have steering wheel and pedals, it's basically the same thing...

You'd think someone would figure out after two or three offs that they need to brake before a corner. But no...
